Having stayed here before, we were not disappointed that the usual high standards were still flying high on Annies list. We were met with a wonderful cheery smile and made to feel welcome from the start of our visit. Our room was clean and tidy and as we had stayed in this one before, our two small dogs knew exactly where to go (very dog friendly). We love it up here at this time of year and there is always a chance of snow, which we got and also minus 11C according to the weather app. The log fire kept us warm and cosy in the lounge although we did have to get some warmer clothing in Aviemore as didnt bring enough layers. Always plenty of places still open even at this time of year, to go and eat or visit, but need to dress up warm if the chill sets in. Crubenbeg is the perfect place to go and explore from and the falls just down the road are perfect this time of the season. You can book a meal in advance but Annie does a mean Pannini meal which is more than adequate of an evening if you have had a meal out during the day and there is also now the licenced bar so can have a couple of scotch's before bedtime. We are returning next year and incorporating this into one of our NC500 hotels as would love to share the experience with Annie & team as they love listening to your experiences in the evening. Breakfasts were their usual filling start to the day, we did have to cut back as could feel the weight gaining on the body as they were plentiful and very enjoyable (too enjoyable). It was a shame we had to leave in the end as enjoyed ourselves so much, fantastic hosts and we have such a relaxing time in the beautiful house and grounds. p.s the dogs loved jumping in the snowy grass, as its something we dont get in the West country that often.

On the way from Perth to Inverness you can find just before Newtonmore Crubenbeg Guest House. This is by far the best place where you can stay. Annie is the loveliest host you can wish. She welcomes you with such a smile that you instandly feel at home. Rooms and batrooms to the highest standards, Cosy and clean. Sitting in thé living room it's a joy to see thé squirrels and little rabbits play on the meadow. When it gets a bit chilly Annie puts the fire on and you just don't want to leave . For those who want she prepares some fresh made soup and Panini. Thé selfbaked brownie is devine 🤗. At evening when you will look back what the day brought there is even the possibility to get a glass of wine or beer.. Beds or comfy, The nights pitch dark and no noise at all. After the well earned rest Annie provides you with a fantastic breakfast. Do I like it? Yes a lot. This is thé place I always will come back. So glad I have found it. This was the second time and many will follow. Annie you do a fantastic job. Till soon.

A wonderful place to stay and Annie was a superb host. Tucked in beautiful woodland near some very special water falls of Truim. Quiet and luxurious. Main road to Inverness one side and Fort William the other, it was a superb location. Couldn't hear the road at all. It had a beautiful garden with a resident red squirrel who came daily to feed from bird table. The room was spacious and had a very comfortable four poster bed. En suite was perfect. Breakfast was wonderful. The hotel is dog friendly and so that we could both eat together, Annie's friend took our boy for a walk. Nothing was too much and Annie came to our rescue with such kindness when we got a call to say our dog's recent teeth operation had found a cancerous growth. Cannot recommend Crubenbeg enough. Plenty off places to see and visit all around. Two RSPB sites close by. Little village is gorgeous and worth stopping and going for a walk. People are so friendly and happy to help you Don't rely on Sat Nav to find the turning as the post code is further up the main road on opposite of the road. If you are coming from Fortwilliam then turning is on your left, Military Road, take the right hand fork in the road over the bridge and up to the hotel.

Always a friendly welcome from Annie & team. This is our second visit here, the first being in the winter time, so a change of fresh scenery and not getting almost snowed in. We brought the wifes sister with us this time to experience the hospitality and was not disappointed and absolutely loved it as much as we do. There were plenty of places to go and see this time of year, with the stone signifying the centre of Scotland, followed by a stop at a remote Cafe which served excellent snacks. At Loch Morlich we had a picnic and if we had brought some wet suits, could have gone sailing. The funicular up the Cairngorm mountain was running but unfortunately we couldnt take the dogs with us, but the views from the base station were fantastic. After fun days out we could always come back to either relax and enjoy a book or endulge in a glass (or two) of wine in the lounge at Crubenbeg and chat with some of the other guests. We met a nice family from the USA who I'm sure would have kidnapped our dogs had we let them. Rooms as always were comfortable and well looked after and we have our favourite one from last visit (not telling though as we are coming back towards the end of the year again and want to book it up). Breakfasts are always filling and had to cut down, as seem to pile on the pounds every time I see them, although the sister in law did really enjoy trying the Whisky Porridge, which became a favourite of her stay. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and excellent hospitality of our host Annie & team and we are already working out our dates to come back towards the end of the year.

We’re happy that your sister-in-law also enjoyed her wee break in the highlands after so many years and that it brought back happy memories for her. See you in November 😊 Take care. Annie

As soon as we arrived we had such a warm welcome by Annie who showed us to our room with was on the ground floor with its own entrance which was good due to having the dog with us. Our room and bathroom were both immaculately clean and spacious We had tea and coffee making facilities in the room and Annie the owner brought us a jug of fresh milk. We spent the evening in the guest lounge which was spacious clean and with a lovely log fire which our dog spent the evening sleeping in front of. Annie and her friend John joined us in the lounge and we purchased drinks from her and John played the piano beautifully. We slept really well the bed was very comfy and the room warm. Breakfast next morning we were greeted by Annie with a lovely smile in the dining room laid out with a very filling and hot breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer and if in the area again will be our first choice to stay

A truly superb guest house set in stunning countryside. Annie is a really friendly, accomodating, host, supported by a great team. Rooms are clean, bright and airy. The lounge area is spacious and welcoming with a real homely feel. A large, scrumptious breakfast menu is on offer and all served at a large communal table which gets everyone involved in the conversation. The scenic Falls of Truim are a 2 minute walk down the drive, beautiful. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.
