Very relaxing 2 days and stunning weather while we stayed. Great walking along the beach. Comfortable accommodation and very quite. The only thing that could be improved is checking for spiders,as there were a lot of Daddy Long Leg Spiders in the unit which we had to clean out.

The apartment was large with an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The kitchen was fully equipped. The apartment is detached with a nice patio and there is free parking. It is close to the sea with lovely views.

Excellent location with just a few steps onto beautiful Oruaiti Beach. The accommodation and facilities have all the comforts of home giving people the perfect opportunity to chill out for a few days in this unspoilt wilderness. Friendly and amiable hosts who make you feel very welcome to enjoy your stay.

We had booked the two bedroom apartment but when we arrived the hostess said she had moved us to the other room as we were only staying one night and she had let the room to fishermen who were staying for a week The room rate went up as there were three of us we had thought the rate we... More

We had the two bedroom apartment under the house which was as expected. A bit like being at a friends place, it was perfectly acceptable but there were a couple of small things that we might do differently. Just over the road from the beach so it was a good place to be and the stand in owners were very... More

Overlooking a fine beach we went along for an overnight stay in July. Off season there was no evening meal but the two sumptuous apartments had all the facilities for self catering but we were on a very short haul. The meal we had some kilometers way at the Waihau Lodge was atrocious. The lady owner had travelled with her... More

We stayed for two nights in the self-contained single bedroom unit at the back to the main house. It was spacious, clean, tidy and quite. Jane is a great host and gave us numerous tips of local surrounding and even gifted us a fresh catch of the sea after we arrived!! (I cannot recall the name of the fish, maybe... More

I stated for one night on a drive around the cape. I had previously planned to stay at Te Kaha where meals were available but was enjoying the drive so much I kept driving and was prepared to take pot luck with accommodation. I am glad I did!! My wife and I are retired and we decided to take a long road trip from Leigh to Gisborne to visit family. We found the Oceanside Apartments on the internet and checked various reviews etc before deciding to book for one night. The property consists of two separate buildings. The apartment at the rear has absolutely no view of the... More

We stopped here for one night on our trip round the East Cape. We had the ground floor apartment from which we looked straight down the drive to the sea and beach 25 yards away. The apartment was clean and well equipped for our overnight needs. We had requested dinner and this was great. Brought to our room we had... More
