A wonderful lodge in a beautiful location. I can't say enough about the trails, the views, the flora and fauna, and the canopy walk (currently abbreviated while recovering from a lightning strike). Birders: Walk up the road a bit and check out the canopy walk as soon as you're settled in. You'll be spending a lot of your free time... More

I visited this accommodation with my husband for our honeymoon. It was truly spectacular! The staff were brilliant and the location is magical. The accommodation (we stayed in a basic room) was excellent when you consider that you are in the middle of the rainforest. Our guide for the few days that we were there was fantastic and we were... We spent 3 days at this excellent Lodge. Comfortable accommodation with great food and service. However, the highlights are the stunning location, brilliant trails and the excellent guides who look after you. We were able to take as many guided walks as we wanted so made the most of the opportunity by filling almost every minute with some type of... More

This place is fantastic. The lodge and rooms are nestled beautifully into the jungle surroundings beside a river in primary rainforest. It may take 2.5 hours along a track to get here, but the journey is definitely worth it. Lodges are a great size with lovely bathrooms. We went for a deluxe lodge which gives you a plunge pool and... Excellent hotel with great guide (Ali) who went out of his way to ensure we got fantastic wild life sightings including 3 orangutans high in the canopy. We were upgraded to the premier villas which were absolutely first class and well worth paying for extra for, so the upgrade was a real bonus. The staff were consistently smily and enthusiastic,... Danum Valley is one of the most special places i have stayed in my whole life. It is far of the beaten track, to be precise it takes a two and a half hour drive in a four wheel drive to get there from the nearest village. But that drive in itself is one of the best parts of staying... More

We spent 3 nights here and loved it. We had a delux chalet with an outdoor tub, which was amazing to cool down in after a hot day hiking watching the monkeys in the trees on the other side of the river. We didn't find the drive there anything like as long or as bumpy as we had expected and... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Lovely room, fantastic staff and service, excellent food and incredibly varied choice. Our guide, Adrian, was very congenial and knowledgeable, and certainly showed us the wilder side of the rainforest. I definitely feel this is a place that should be on any visitor's intinerary when travelling to Borneo.

We had the October week in Borneo and wanted to see wildlife but with a bit of luxury thrown in. The first two lodges we stayed in were great for wildlife but basic. Borneo rainforest lodge was our last call and it lived up to expectations. We stayed in a premium villa. These villas are very new and top grade.... More
