Have just returned from what must be the finest place to stay in Blackpool bar none! With private parking available for each room, this adults only hotel is conveniently located in the best area on Queens Promenade, away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to all attractions, with a tram stop just a minutes walk away (if you can, then buy the ticket on the app as recommended by Chris - it's cheaper and so convenient along with being great value for money!) Received the warmest of welcomes from Chris & Christine at their beautiful establishment. Very COVID aware with hand sanitizer stations placed in the reception and dining room, along with face masks should you need one. Impeccably clean in all areas with beautiful rooms and great facilities. Superb value for money and I would challenge anyone to find better ( just book direct for the best available price). The honesty bar was a lovely touch with a great variety of drinks/snacks at very reasonable prices with a comfortable seating area to enjoy them. The quality of the breakfast was fantastic, locally sourced and varied, along with great filter coffee and quality tea, served by Chris in his face mask. We really could not have asked for more and cannot wait to return next year. Thank you for making our stay extra special. See you soon. Tracy & Col

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Fossil Tree hotel for a late summer break and our wedding anniversary. Met by host Chris who is very friendly and attentive. Hotel is Covid safe with hand sanitizers everywhere and a necessity to wear masks while walking about in public areas within the hotel. We stayed in room 1 (The Oak Room) A large room with a very comfortable four poster bed. Great views of the prom and out to sea. Great having the WC and sink in a separate room to the shower. Always plenty of hot water. Room was beautifully decorated with large flat screen TV. Tea/Coffee and hot chocolate making facilities in room and glasses for the odd ripple. Room has a number of radiators for when weather gets cold and opening lites for ventilation. Although on the main prom and quite a busy road there is no noise when windows are shut. Nice to be able to sit at night and watch the illuminations that have just been switched on. Plenty of storage space and the bed is high enough to store cases and bags. Breakfasts are fantastic and very tasty that sets you up for the day and Chis is always on hand to help with anything. There are many hotels and B&B’s in Blackpool but the Fossil Tree has to be one of the best. Free parking that it guaranteed and safe. Reception and checkout is easy and masks are available if you forget yours. Located just out of the main hustle bustle of the North shore but the tram stop to explore anywhere along the costal route is literally over the road. I recommend downloading the Blackpool Transport app and getting your online tickets there, it’s so easy and you can get on and off at any stop. All in all the Fossil Tree is amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a nice comfortable stay in a friendly environment where nothing is too much trouble. Can’t wait to return!! 5* accommodation!

We stayed from July 24-26th, great location, staff are very friendly and welcoming, surrounding areas are quite so no noise at night.
Chris welcomed us masked up, and hand sanitise stations were available for guests, which i noticed people using coming in and out of hotel, also signs around with information.
We booked two rooms, and requested for them to be close together, which we got. the rooms are decorated lovely and are spotless... the breakfast is amazing.
overall an absolutely fabulous hotel for a last minute booking, i don't think we would of found a better one for a great price.

we will 100% be staying again. highly recommended!

We recommend to visit Indian orchard , great food + atmosphere.

Thank-you for a wonderful stay!

Just returned home from a two night stay at this brilliant hotel. We ring through to say we would of been arriving earlier than expected Check in times and this was no problem for them arrived met Chris nice friendly chap very covid aware with mask and hand gels everywhere full of information on local restaurants and tram services. 5*

Are room was immaculate Morden stylish no sooner than I dropped my bag knock on the door with an iced bucket with Prosecco I had chosen for a surprise for my partner which she loved.
Quiet comfortable nights sleep. 5*

Breakfast 8:30-9:30 we arrived down at 9:10 again met by Chris we offers of fruits And cereals Hot drinks bucks fizz the full cooked breakfast was cooked fresh and was lovely we both really enjoyed it. 5*

The honesty bar which I think is a brilliant idea and so handy for soft and alcoholic Drinks even chocolate bars in there. 5*

We had chosen the late checkout (Again no problem to sort) and skipped breakfast for the extra lie-in. I went down to settle up with Chris and was offered orange juice or fruits or Croissants to take back to my room while finishing packing. again 5*

We both really enjoyed are stay and definitely would recommend to all.

We stayed here for a couple of nights, our room was spotless as was the hotel as a whole, breakfast was delicious and great quality ingredients, the owners (both called Chris) was friendly and professional at all times and couldn’t do enough to make our stay more perfect. The hotel is positioned near bispham on the sea front and is a lovely and quiet part off Blackpool with the hussle and bussle of Blackpool itself a 20min walk away or a short tram journey. Prices were really reasonable and also included parking... what I would also recommend is that it is cheaper to book direct rather than through booking.com. Will definitely be using this hotel on our next return to Blackpool!! The Fitton Family

Just returned from a 2 night stay. Before we went we were very nervous due to coronavirus and our first holiday away during this time. We really had nothing to worry about staying here.

On arrival Chris greeted us warmly wearing a mask, kept safe distance from us and hand sanitizer in all key areas, plus free masks on receptions for use in communal corridors. The hotel is spotlessly clean and immaculately decorated, our room No.2 was beautifully and had a side view of the sea and illuminations. Staff did not enter our room whilst there, any extra items We required were left at our room door.

Breakfast - we were allocated a table to use for our entire stay again at a safe distance from other guests. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. There is an honesty bar if you want a drink during the day or evening.

We would highly recommend this hotel as they really do work hard to keeping everyone safe and feeling relaxed whilst there. Thank you for a great stay.

Stayed here a few times but this is the first time under the new owner’s Chris & Christine & we wasn’t disappointed when we arrived we parked our car in our numbered parking bay stayed in the oak room number 1 with a lovely bay window & superb sea views with a very comfortable 4 poster bed & crisp white bedding & pure white fluffy towels. Due to Covid they had removed a few luxuries like the white fluffy robes & slippers along with flannels & coffee pod machines also the individual bathroom product’s but we fully understood why. We’re just hoping that we can get back to some kind of normality as we also liked to help ourselves to cereals fruit juices & making our own toast but on the other hand it was also nice to be waited on. Chris & Christine have done a marvellous job in providing sanitising stations throughout the hotel & it was nice to see the honesty bar was still available but we didn’t use it this time. Nothing was to much trouble for them & they even asked us if we needed our hospitality try topping up which was hung on the door as we returned from a very nice breakfast. Many thanks for your kindness & hospitality.
Regards Arthur & Alison x

First class hotel , rooms spotless , owners Christine and Chris so welcoming ,nothing to much trouble. Breakfast was spot on all locally sourced products, eggs golden as they should be bacon perfect, coffee machine in room as well as tea facilities, biscuits and fresh water, all replenished at a simple request. Bed was so comfortable with crisp white linen, toiletries in bathroom of very good quality and decent toilet paper (it makes a difference), beautiful sea views from the oakroom and tram stop 2 minute walk over the road, plenty of restaurants near by and central Blackpool a 5 minute tram ride away , ample free parking at hotel in a safe quiet road. A bonus bumping into Bobby whilst returning to hotel, gorgeous dog.
A perfect nights sleep in a perfect hotel, highly recommend, we can see why people return time after time, so lovely to find a suitable adults only hotel with such high standards and service

Have just come back from a two night stay at the Fossil, we were really impressed by the hosts attention to detail, effort that has gone into the decor and the knowledge advice from host Chris.
The Fossil appealed to us as it is out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk into Blackpool that coupled with the free onsite parking means you can leave the car alone for your stay, there is a tram stop just out the front.
Breakfast was great and a good selection either continental or full English cooked fresh to order, the room was very clean and had high quality furniture making our stay very enjoyable, would definitely stay again.

Excellent stay, immaculate cleanliness around the hotel. Rooms well equipped, comfortable and quiet.
Breakfast was superb, definitely up there with best hotel full English breakfasts I’ve had, everything of a high standard especially the black pudding.
Chris was very friendly asked how we were/what our plans were at breakfast each morning.
We used the trams to get around and bought the tickets on the app.
We had filtered water in our room to reduce plastic consumption and could refill these if needed.
The hotel has a lounge and bar which operates an honesty box where you pay for what you have via a cash box, you could contact Chris and pay by card if needed. The profits of this went to an Alzheimer’s charity, very nice touch.
All in all a great stay.
