Simple a/c rooms, very good food, friendly service, top location on a quite beach (for swimming, surfing,...). I enjoyed having a walk on the beach and meeting local people. The Kadolana was one of our best guesthouses on the island. You get plenty of good time for a small budget.

I have stayed at this guest house on three occasions, the house is in a garden that had direct access to the beach. The rooms are quite basic, but the location of this guest house is superb & it now has WiFi! You are off the beaten track with the most amazing stretch of non tourist beach imaginable! But you...

Before we got here we read a lot of negative comments about this place. We cant agree with anything. It's a beautiful and calm place. Feels like a secret little place:) Clean rooms, Kindly staff and almost a whole beach for ourself. Great beach for beginners to surf in the afternoon around 3 pm. Peace! PS! I think they have...

We decided to stay at this "resort" because the beach was so beautiful and unpopulated and because all the other hotels and guest houses in the area were also very dirty or very expensive. I cleaned the dirt splashes off the tiles and wiped down all the sticky and dirty surfaces in the room. After that our stay was ok....

Right, there was a change in the management. So when we were there, there was a Belgium Owner and a Sri Lankan Manager and Chef (who worked in Paris, France befor). The Sri Lankan guy was very special. He cooked really good food and the portions very really big. Also we liked the rooms and the very quiet atmosphere. So...

We booked this place based on the positive reviews here and elsewhere on the Internet. However, it appears there has been a significant change in management recently and it has taken a turn for the worse. . The place is looking quite drab, which you can forgive - but the room and beds smell, and the linen was not clean....

This place is near the hamlet of Nilwella, off the highway between Tangalla and Dickwella. It has a beach front location and the 8 rooms on two levels all face a lovely sea view. We chose the upstairs rooms to get the maximum wave watching opportunity. Unfortunately we did have to move downs stairs late in the evening as there...

This was the last leg on a 7 day tour and we were taken there by Upul whilst on his excellent 'Sri Lanka Tailored Tours' trip. We had left Ella in the morning and drove in heavy rain, heading for the beaches and hopefully, better weather. We arrived 2.30pm and were given a very warm welcome by the owners. There...
