Moonstone is sold all around Sri Lanka, symbolizes perceiving beyond the veil. Exactly how it feels to be in this villa. Far enough from the noisy and crowded beach it is a peaceful and calm place surrounded by a beautiful garden, rice fields and palm trees. We enjoyed the night sky full of stars, the opalescent morning lights, the garden,...

We had a wonderful family stay in this marvellous island, but unfortunately the accommodation wasn't the one make it as. In one hand the idea of the villa is excellent (just what we were looking for) peaceful, relaxing, authentic and familiar. Don't get me wrong as I mentioned all above we didn't except luxury, but personally I think cleanness, reliability...

Don't go there! The rooms are not clean enough. The equipment is poor. We even had cockroach and rats in the room. The accomodation is quite expensive compared to cosy beach-side hotels, but you don't get the value for it. We had half board included, it was promised to be buffet style, but we only got one type of meal...

We booked the Lazy Lizard following a last minute cancellation from our first choice of hotel... What a happy change of plan! This really was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the stunning setting in a village just outside Unawatuna, surrounded by trees and paddy fields. As mentioned by another reviewer a real highlight was to relax around the...

The staff could not have been more genuinely happy to help, smile, be of service..the room was clean and the pool area was tidy. Honestly, I have stayed in some of the nicest place in the...

We loved staying in this hidden paradise boasting 2 pools! It was so peaceful, we saw monkeys hanging around the trees while we ate breakfast. The hotel is set about a 10 min drive away from the beach amidst rice paddies. Even though the second half of the grounds is under construction, it didn't take away from the charm of...

This is the second time that we have been guests at Lazy Lizard hotel and we were very happy that it still has the same charm even though it went through so many changes. After our first stay we've returned home with a lot of nice memories. We have gone on many trips of our choice provided by the hotel....

The hotel has the potential to be an ideal location but poor facilities let it down. The new apartments do not have adequate electricity supplied to them, resulting in power failures and air con insufficient. Our friends rooms did not have a fridge or any working air-con. Loss of water supply on occasions also a problem. The management speak little...
