My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this resort for 4 days this January. This place is located on a secluded road which follows Playa Palo Seco. The manager Dianne greeted us and we were instantly impressed with her laid back and friendly attitude. The restaurant is comfortable, the food is excellent and the service is top-notch....

If you are looking to truly relax and get away, this is your place. Every morning we would walk on the beach at low tide and only saw one or two people. The beach has soft sand, with a very long and flat incline from the ocean. There are warnings of rip tides in the hotel booklet, so we stayed...

We spent 4 days at this beautiful beachfront resort on our honeymoon in Costa Rica. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. We stayed in the kingsize bed room just next to the pool, the room was very spacious, everywhere nicely decorated and equiped with lots of candles and shells. On the terrace is a sunbed for two and a hanging chair...

Read all the bad reviews recently but it close to where we are staying. Had a wonderfully friendly bartender with some awesome food and drinks. The service left something to be desired. The apparent owner came out a time or to and did absolutely nothing to help or make anyone feel welcome. Too bad cuz they have an incredible site...

At the Welcoming Desc, within the first 3 mins, the owner, Diana Conforti was threatening to escort us our with police, simply because my spouse said: 'Hello, the reservation was problematic'. She went on a rant about how she runs her operations, screaming at us, topping it of with threatening us to stay quite and cool or she will call...

Clandestino truly is the ideal resort for those who want tranquility and appreciate rustic luxury (have to try it to know!), are open minded and able and willing to rent a car (most likely in manual) and be adventurous! We stayed 4 full days and 5 nights and it was the perfect amount of time for both relaxing and doing...

My husband and I (from NYC) honeymooned here for a week. We booked it mainly to get away from everything and the two and a half hour car ride from the airport definitely indicated that. the beach was endless and so beautiful. While we could get transportation help to get to some the events (zip lining, hiking, etc) it might...

The grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. We were met by an armed security guard which was a little intimidating at first, but he was very friendly. He welcomed us, and brought bananas for the kids to feed the monkeys while the adults checked in. The beds looked really lumpy and I expected to have a horrible night's sleep, but they...

I don't write many reviews, unless extremely good or extremely bad. This was EXTREMELY BAD. Like some other people said it was nothing like the pictures. We pulled up to the property to a security guard who had a gun on him, thinking "where the hell did we come to?" We traveled all over Costa Rica and came here for...

We just returned from a 8 day stay at Clandestino. We came last year, for 2 days on our way to Uvita and regretted we didn't stay longer. This year we made it our unique and final destination, and we are not disappointed. Compared to last year, the weather is much more humid, with a lot of rain so prepare...
