We stayed at this hotel for a week in July 2016 and had a most enjoyable stay. When we arrived we were shown 2 rooms and chose the one overlooking the pool. As soon as we settled into the room I thought we had chosen the wrong. I started worrying that it would be noisy being by the pool, but how wrong I was! The room was the smaller of the two but as weren't going to be spending a lot of time in it that was not really a concern. The balcony or more like patio was an excellent size and the room had a small fridge, decent wifi and air con. There were plenty of plug sockets in the room. The room was a bit dated but spotlessly clean and it suited our needs, The hotel was open, spacious and airy with some interesting ornaments. The staff were very friendly and helpful although didn't speak much English, which is always wonderful as it makes me make an effort. In fact I think we only came across one English couple in the area the whole week. We felt as though we were the only people staying in the hotel and the pool was seldomly used by others. The beach was a stone throw away and went on for miles, where we found some lovely beach restaurants.
The only downside for us was the fact that the hotel didn't have a restaurant and by 9pm it was all shut up. I would happily stay here again.

Good simple double room with good sized en suite including his & hers basins. lovely setting virtually on the beach, good pool and facilities. Stylish communal areas around the very good bar, all supported by helpful and friendly staff.

What a lovely small hotel the Levolle Marine is. We only stayed one night as we wanted somewhere close to the airport but we were made to feel so welcome. We had a lovely friendly welcome and were shown all around the hotel by a member of staff. We loved the unusual decor and attention to detail. I would say that if you book this hotel, have a good look at it's location on the map as it is not completely straightforward to find it and we had to ask a couple of times. You would be well advised to have a car if you are staying here as the only place near to it is the lovely beach restaurant next door. Our breakfast consisted of: Fresh 1/2 grapefruit, Fresh Croissant, French Bread and jams, Boiled Egg, little cakes and natural yoghurt plus a good selection of teas and fresh juice! We stayed in Room 3 and some of the pictures depict this room which overlooked the beach and in reality was a small suite with a beautifully decorated separate lounge area. The room has full blinds and in the lounge area these were electrically operated. I would not wish to criticise what was a lovely hotel with lovely people running it but I would say that you are of generous proportions, you may find the shower rather snug. Nonetheless we felt this hotel represented excellent value for our short stay and would certainly stay again if I was in the area.

Strengths: very close to the beach (the hotel has its own private part, with free deckchairs and parasols), cleanliness of the hotel in general (except for the jacuzzi, beurk), free parking, air conditioning

Weaknesses: size of the bathrooms (especially the shower cabin, ridiculous), old-fashioned, rooms needs to be refreshed and repairs have to be done in some areas (see photos), no possibility to shop in the area (only one restaurant 200m away, otherwise you need to go to Moriani-plage which is 4.5km away - you need a car, no public transports), free wi-fi when you can get it (ground floor ok, rooms not ok).

It was our second stay there (first time in 2011, same period). The first time, we were pretty impressed by the beach and the fact it takes you 30 seconds from your room to lay into your chair or to be into the water. Maybe we were blinded by this big advantage... This year, although the beach is still very beautiful and it's obviously convenient to be so close to it, we had one big problem: our room stank (not only a little smell, it literally stank - coming from the bathroom, probably toilets and siphons). We told the staff about it the first morning. They said they would check. When we came back from the beach, windows were opened and air-conditioning was at his maximum, so obviously we didn't smell anything special and we thought it was ok. The next morning, we woke up in an incredible stench ! We went back to the reception to complain, and the manageress said they had done everything the day before to resolve the problem and that they didn't undestand from where it was coming from. So they propose to change our room. We had to pack up everything and move to another room on the opposite side of the hotel (without help and excuses). From the balcony of our new room, we had a view on our "ex-balcony". We were quite surprised to see another couple a few hours later. It gave the impression the hotel had been aware of the problem for a long time, but hasn't been willing to do anything, and treat their clients as pigeons, hoping they will accept and not complain. At the end of our stay, we received no excuses or compensations for the inconvenience (we could have asked though). To sum up, go to this hotel if you don't care of the quality of your room when you're on holidays (even for a high price) and if you're interested in the beach only. The less you complain, the better you will be treated...

We arrived at hotel Levolle Marine on the 21th of May. The hotel looked nice and the receipt was friendly. They even offered us a bigger room and we didn't have to pay extra. Everything looked nice. But then we had breakfast the next morning. We were the ony couple in the breakfast room. There was a radio in the breakfast room. The girl who served our breakfast suddenly turned on the radio very loud. I thought it was a mistake. When I brought the newspaper back to the lounge next to the breakfast room, I turned the radio a little down. In the lounge there were a few people from the hotel. A man, who turned out to be the hotel owner, started to shout at me. How I dared to touch the radio, that people who don't like music are stupid, that people who don't like music don't have any passion, and other nonsense. It struck me. I didn't say anything and just went back to the breakfast room. Then the owner turned on the radio very loud again. It was very unpleasant for us. We had to leave the breakfast room. By putting my hands on my ears I made clear that we left the room because of the loud music. Then the owner exploded. He was very aggressive. He came to me an shouted in my face that we dirty dutch people might have the money, but that this didn't mean that we had anything to say in his hotel. I dared to reply that we were the tourists in his hotel. But he was even more aggressive. He hit his fists on his chest and shouted that HE was the tourist in his hotel (?), that HE was the boss, that HE decided what was on the radio, and that I might be tall, but that he was not afraid of me, and other terrible things.

My wife was very upset. We left the hotel immediately. We went back to our first hotel on Corse, where we had a warm welcome again. Corse is a fantastic island and the corsican people are very nice, but there are exceptions. Hotel Levolle Marine is a nice hotel, but unfortenattely the owner is a terrible man. He has the wrong profession.
