We visited here my son and I in May and the hotel was very quiet mostly older couples and a few families , I would say mostly German on the week we stayed. We were very happy with the location it is literally on the beach and you can walk into the village of kokkini hanni which isn't touristy. The beach area isn't massive but was OK for when the hotel is quiet. The pool and water slides were excellent as was the lifeguard who was fully first aid trained he even put cream on my sons burnt feet and shoulders which I thought was lovely. There is a further kids pool with slides and a main pool to enjoy so plenty of choices. We had a family room in the main building which was spotlessly clean, the maids come every day . But I was a little dissapointed with the outlook as our room had no sun on the balcony and overlooked the roof of the Asian restaurant. After asking at reception they were able to swop us to a much nicer location in the annexe looking out on the heart shaped pool . The bar staff were great shout out to Antonis and Costa who were always friendly and smiling. The food in all the restaurants was plentiful and tasty maybe a bit limited for kids but we went to the dia bar for lunch were they always had chicken nuggets or tuna wraps. And un the Asian restaurant they had fish fingers so there is stuff to ve found for those picky eaters. The restaurant manager georgios is always there and even gave us a sandwich for the plane. Would recommend this hotel and would stay again.…
Just returned from a week at the Arina beach resort and well I have nothing but praise for them. Hygiene was impeccable everywhere. Rooms were lovely, view amazing and the location was great. Extra special mention for Maria from the Kalypso pool bar, she was great! Nothing was too much trouble. She was helpful, friendly and provided an excellent service...an asset to the hotel. Also Albi from the main bar, excellent customer service with a smile which is quite rare these days. Both made the holiday just that little bit more special as they made you feel special!
Just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel with my boyfriend. When we arrived around 11pm they had left some food at the buffet for us. Room: We had upgraded to the penthouse sea view. The view was gorgeous and we got to watch the sunset from the balcony. Upgrading to this room (or bungalows I believe) also means you get unlimited access to the a la carte restaurant in the evening (providing you book) and can just turn up to breakfast at the a la carte in the morning. Also free late checkout if available as opposed to 50€. Room was clean and stylish, beds very comfortable. Espresso machine and bathrobes provided. Clean towels and bottle of water daily. Repleinshed softdrinks in the fridge. Food and drink: The food in the main restaurant is lovely, SO much selection. Omelettes and create your own noodle stations. Pizza oven, salad, Greek dishes...the list goes on. We loved the avra a la carte restaurant too, ate there most mornings and evenings. The Asian restaurant was also lovely, great sea view. Also a snack bar by the beach. Beer and wine on tap in the restaurants, both tasted nice. The red wine nicer than the white in my opinion. Communal areas: Pool areas were lovely, plenty of sunbeds, no one reserving sunbeds. Down a couple of steps to the sandy beach where there is also lots of sunloungers and big double beds. Water was clear. Lots of nice areas around the hotel to sit and have a drink. Bar: Bar staff were great, good selection of drinks and cocktails. We loved the frappés. Entertainment: Entertainment team good, lots to do during the day. Volleyball, aqua Zumba, water polo, darts. Enjoyed the Greek night, got everyone up dancing. Also tennis and water park. Location: There is a supermarket across the road from the hotel and a few shops and tavernas in the centre of kokkini hani about 5-10 minute walk. We took the bus to Heraklion from outside the hotel 1.90€ each. 15 minutes from the airport. Was great to be the first drop off. (Saw a review about their being children, this is a family hotel so their is bound to be children. Go to adults only hotel if you hate kids so much. There is an adults only pool though. And most kids tended to be at the splash park.) Overall could not fault this hotel, cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in and staff great. Would definitely return for a week in the sun!…
Visited for 1 week with partner and 2 young kids (2 & 4), all Staff were amazing so helpful & friendly. Management staff always out and around the hotel making sure everything and everyone is having a great time. Food was amazing and something for everyone, they had kids plates Pool areas were amazing and splash park was great for kids under 6 year olds need arm bands for bigger sides, rubber rings at bottom to take up for bigger slides Beach great and has showers. 2 options for lunch buffet restaurant or else smaller restaurant along near the beach has lunch snacks. Bus outside hotel takes you into Heraklion every 30 mins €1:90 per adult each way. Shop in the resort is good and quite cheap also a shop across the road. Different entertainment each night. Pool towels provided ask reception for towel card. Amazing time and can’t wait to return, don’t have any faults.…
What an amazing holidays we had! We went to Arina Beach mid April and stayed for two weeks. We absolutely loved our time there. Starting with lovely rooms and beautiful hotel grounds just by the beach, through delicious food and most importantly attentive and kind staff. There was nothing we would have wanted that was missing for us. Every detail was taken care of. Hotel and restaurant managers were present all the time making sure everything was running smoothly. Entertainment throughout the day and on the evenings well organised and something for everyone. Just place for nice and relaxing stay. We loved to spend mornings looking out at the sea views. Spa pool was fantastic for a swim on the cooler days. There is just too much to write but we would recommend this hotel without any doubt. Special mention for Costas and Marina from the pool bar and Valentino who was on a mission to make sure entertainment was nailed to perfection and to restaurant manager who was always checking on everyone keeping even the little ones happy! And many more- too many people to mention. Well have a great time if you are chosing Arina Bach We sure will remember foundly our time there. And enjoy Crete…
