Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a very nice place to stay close to the beach. The owner is very nice and helped us check in and find parking in his driveway. The rooms are basic, but have everything you would need—refrigerator, air conditioning, desk, small patio. The price is very reasonable and the location is perfect for a day at the beach.

We arrived late - after midnight as the flight was delayed, but it was not a problem as the owner was waiting for us (we did warn him in advance). He showed us to the room, gave a quick how-to with the window and insect screen, told us he'd plugged in an anti-mozzie device and put a bottle of water in the fridge. Well I don't think I've ever stayed in such a smart-looking apartment/studio in Greece - we usually go cheap as we don't tend to spend much time holed up in our room! Everything looked newly refurbished (apart from the bathroom door which weirdly seemed to have been forgotten about, peeling paint and old-looking as was the front door, but no matter). The wardrobe, bedside tables and kitchenette area all smart new light wood colour, beds quite new and mattresses very comfortable, and a padded headboard. No drawers for your undies though. The kitchenette has a sink (so no washing up in the bathroom), a couple of saucepans, cutlery, a knife for cutting bread, and a new coffee maker (no kettle though but boiling up enough water for a cuppa in a small pan is no problem). Also provided (and this is a first in my experience, in Greece or in fact anywhere else self-catering) washing up liquid, tea towels and a sponge! And the washing up liquid is topped up as you use it!! Soap provided in the bathroom (also topped up) and loo rolls replaced (yes, I have stayed in places where you have to buy your own after the one provided runs out). The bathroom is the usual Greek tiny bathroom, and the shower is also tiny (but with a new shower curtain but then we did stay earlier in the season!) but with sufficient hot water (you need to let it run a while). Towels and sheets changed frequently (sheets every couple of days it seemed). Cleaner pleasant and cheerful. Airer outside on the balcony with pegs (maybe bring a few more?). Even the balcony furniture looked new and better quality than the usual cheap white plastic chairs you get everywhere. The owner Valandis was very helpful and friendly (and chatty), in addition to the nice little touches when we arrived, he also offered to drive us to a nearby beach which would be less windy than the one opposite the apartment block. A couple of extra points. Some reviewers mentioned traffic noise. Well we're from inner London so traffic doesn't really bother us. It's not constant traffic, but sometimes someone hares noisily up the road and I suppose bin lorries might disturb if you're trying to lie in. It's occasional but not all the time. Maybe take ear plugs just in case. I think the only way these apartments could be more perfect would be if they had a pool for the days when it's too windy to sit on the beach, but there's no room for that. Great stuff. If we go back to Palaiochora we'll definitely book Neapolis again.

We stayed here 2 nights. It is just across the road from a lovely, sandy beach and 10 min walk to the city center, where there are many restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, wi-fi was fast and the owner very friendly. Both the kitchen and the bathroom are large and functional, with everything that is needed. Elafonissi beach is not far (about 1 hour drive).

One might say about Neapolis Apartments that it is too simple. Or that is too near the road! Both Would be accurate some of the time! The room I stayed in was very simple but functional. The view was Across the road to the beach. Good Basic rooms!

If u want to go low budget on your appartement but still want to be good , this place is where u need to go ! The owner is super friendly , if u need something he is always there to help u. Even the cleaning lady did once our dishes because we left very early. !! Maybe one thing you need to keep in mind. There is not really a kitchen. Its a fridge with an electric fire but there is no sink. So you need to do the dishes in the bathroom what is not really comfortable. If u don't need a lot of luxury it isn't bothering. We didn't had a problem with this.

Just lovely! Great location, good size room, typical Greek bathroom, spotlessly clean throughout, and wonderful hosts. Excellent value for money as well. Would absolutely stay again if in Paleohora which in itself is a lovely place to stay. Cannot recommend enough!

The Neapolis apartments are situated in an ideal location. Just across the main beach area of Paleochora, which is called pachia ammos (thick sand!). It is also a five minute walk from the center and the east restaurant area. Near the complex you can find supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants. But if you want to eat great food you have to drive a few minutes! We stayed in a two bedroom apartment which had nice view of the sea during the month of July. The apartment was spacious, confortable and very clean. It had a full kitchen with all necessary utensils. The Wi-fi was very good everywhere in the complex. The owner Balantis is there most of the time and he was very helpful with any questions you may have. He suggested some nice restaurants, beaches for swimming, directions for Samaria and Elafonisi. Overall a great stay.
