I would like to first start by saying that when we booked this hotel we had no idea where Stalis was, or how big and beautiful the area is, so booking was very difficult to decide where to go with so many offerings on a 2 mile stretch of beach, bars and restaurants (we picked well)

The area is perfect for anyone wanting to be central to the stalis stretch with access to water parks. Aquariums and beach activities with the beach a 30 second walk away.

Two supermarkets flank you on either side about 75-100m walk away (however we have learned that self catering might be as expensive as eating out as the supermarkets are expensive and restaurants are very reasonable with amazing food on every corner)

The bar and pool area in this particular hotel are SPOTLESS with high quality food and drinks. A pool table and television are there for entertainment while nice music plays and even a piano is available

The rooms are spotless and provide cooking and cleaning equipment. I did request different pillows and this was fixed immediately by the staff (who I will get to)Rooms have air conditioning and balcony or garden area which is very useful to dry clothes

The real highlight of this hotel is 100% the staff and owners. Vasso and lefteris (apologies for the spelling) Vasilis Reyna etc etc. They welcomed us like family the second we set foot on the grounds. They made us feel more than welcome and made a fuss of our 6 year old who was with us. Nothing was too much trouble and their attitude has made us want to return. Amazing people

People who visited while we were there were absolutely as impressed with the majority of them being return visitors (some for over 20 years)

So don't hesitate to book. They make a lasting impression and we loved our stay as villa Stella. As will you!

We stayed as a family at these apartments for a week 18-25 August. I booked them through booking.com as they’d received brilliant reviews in there, I now know why.
From the moment I booked til the day we left , the owners vasso and lefteris have been the most attentive and kind hosts you could ever wish for, always on hand to help you and even allowed us to stay in our room til we left for the airport . It’s these little things that are important but the reason they get repeat guests..
We had a superior 1bed apt, more than adequate for us. ( note..stairs are abit of a killer! ) although the views are worth it.
Lovely pool where we spent nearly every day , pool bar which was open 10-6 selling drinks and food. Lovely lady behind bar comes round with cold water in the day to keep you refreshed from the Cretan sun. They are at one end of stalis but no more than 5 minutes walk to the main part of beach and lots of cafes, bars restaurants surrounding it.
These apartments have everything you need for a stay in stalis which in itself is a lovely resort.
Would not hesitate to recommend these apartments to family and friends . We have been travelling to Greece for over 20 years and these apartments and stalis as a resort are the best by far.
Yammas.

This is our second stay at these apartments and wont be our last. The minute you step in you are made to feel so welcome by the owners Vasso and Lefteris they are always on hand to make sure everything is good. We stay in a one bedroom superior apartment. They are immaculately clean and spacious. All the staff that work here are lovely and helpful working hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. Do not hesitate book. You will not be disapointed.

We have arrived at stalis and found out that hotel we suppose to stay in was closed due to covid. We visited Villa Stella which was next door as we heard that they have rooms available. The owner of Villa Stalla could not be more welcoming!! They sorted the room in no time without much of heads up. Through out the stay they were extremely friendly, and very helpful, made you feel very welcome. Room was very modern, Internet signal in the bar and in the room was very strong. There is a small path to the beach just opposite the hotel, it takes less then a minute to get to a lovely beach. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Crete. Hope that helps

Great communication prior to the holiday and greeted like friends upon our arrival. The studios are great spotless and well equipped. No extra cost for air conditioning. Location literally a short stroll across the road to the beach. A decent sized pool with free sunbeds and umbrella available. The pool snack bar great for breakfast or lunch. Staff and owners really care and make you feel so welcome and go the extra mile to give you the best holiday. Courtesy room available if a later flight but Vassos let us keep one room until time to leave. Great location can walk main strip and 30min walk into Malia if inclined.
Highly recommended

So clean. We bought drinks and were given free water, free crisps. Pool is gorgeous. Amazing little place please visit . Only 4 euro for a pizza. Wine 3 euro. Food is lovely. The woman that works there does an amazing job, so lovely snd really makes the place. You can use the pool if you buy a drink, you don’t need to be staying. Made feel soooo welcome

We have just got back from an 11 night holiday in Crete where we stayed here for 7 nights. We received a really warm welcome from the owner and her family when we arrived. She personally showed us to our apartment and ensured we knew where everything was. They couldn't do enough for us. The beds were comfortable and apartment was extremely clean- immaculate, there was only air con in the bedroom and it doesn't reach the living room, but it was extremely hot whilst we were there, we had 2 fans which made it better for the two sleeping in the living room and was manageable.
The pool is the cleanest pool I have ever swam in, there was never a struggle to get sunbeds. The bar staff during the day and evening couldn't do enough for you. Drinks were amazing, the best we had- the effort that goes into them is evident and they were fairly priced, not at all expensive. The only reason we didn't stay there for our full 11 nights is because it was fully booked. We will definitely be back next year without a doubt. Its a 1min walk from the beach. Truly amazing hosts and we thank you for our stay.

Spend 2 weeks at villa Stella with my husband & 2 friends, it’s our 2nd visit here. Vasso & Lefteris are perfect hosts who make you feel like family, so friendly & welcoming. Irene is lovely making sure you have iced water & snacks. The apartments are spotless & spacious with comfortable beds. The bar stays open till the last person goes to bed which in our case was early hours of the mornings. I would recommend this villa to everyone .

This holiday was originally booked for June 2020, so it was fantastic to finally get there and we were not disappointed. The communication with Vasso the owner was fantastic, always there to answer my numerous questions. Our flight was delayed for 2 hours which meant we didn't get to the apartments until 1.30am, we had let Vasso know but she was still there to welcome us, such a lovely family. We had booked 2 apartments and both were spacious and comfortable, we had amazing views over the mountains and a lovely large balcony. Apartment was spotless , couldn't have asked for more. A lovely location, the quieter end of Stalis, which made for a good nights sleep but close enough to all the lovely restaurants and bars Stalis has to offer only a few minutes walk away.
Rena who runs the pool bar is lovely, great service and a constant free supply of iced water around the pool, always with a smile. There are so many amazing restaurants in Stalis too many to mention all fabulous with something for everyone. Give the bar opposite a look, Ethnic was always our first and last port of call on a night out, lovely little bar owned by Anton, a lovely guy. We don't often visit the same place twice but both Villa Stella and Stalis has captured our hearts, we'll be back ❤️

Thank you for your kind review. We would like to kindly add that after your departure this year (in July 2022) we finally opened again Villa Stella's cocktail bar in the evening, too, after 2 years of closure in the evening due to the particular COVID19 circumstances. So now the bar is also open in the evenings. We shall be very happy to welcome you again.

This is so much more than a place to stay.
The family are warm and welcoming.
The room ( we have big balcony room) is clean, comfortable and spacious.
The pool is deep the perfect temperature and clean.
The coast -sea and beach is two mins walk over the road.
Then there is our hosts cocktail making talent... Seriously delicious .. I know it's advertised on the road, but don't walk by, Come In!
Language is no barrier to a great cocktail.

Dear Lee, Thank you for your kind message. Regarding your transfer from the airport to Villa Stella apts, if you prebook a taxi it is cheaper than getting a taxi just outside of the airport. Cretevantaxi charge 35 euros from the airport to Villa Stella. You will need to contact them +306977597063 and arrange the transfer some days before your arrival. If you would like to take a taxi outside of the airport (i.e. without prebooking) it usually costs about 45-50 euros. If you might have any further questions, we shall be happy to reply! All kind regards, Lefteris
