Lovely family run apartments. Van, effee and staff are always so happy to see you. Felt totally safe with the new Covid 19 regulations. Made my stay even more enjoyable My daughter loves princess the dog and the play area as well as the pool. Always stay here when visiting Crete. It is so close to other bars and shops. The food they serve is also first class Thank you so much for having us and making us feel like family
Small, basic and a little in need of an update with furniture, but so unbelievably clean and well maintained. Superb location, family run and so friendly. Loads of sun beds and great pool bar. Upgrade to a garden view room for a nicer balcony. Could not fault Nikos. We had a fantastic time. If I ever go back to Crete (which I’d like to because it’s ace!), I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Such a short walk to the beach and the main strip. Fabulous bars and restaurants- not enough time to sample them all! Loved it.
Just returned from a 2 week stay at Nikos Apartments. The rooms are basic but immaculately clean with white linen and towels. We didn't use the cooking facilities as wanted to try local restaurants. Room was cleaned regularly with towels and linen changed. Pool/Bar area were excellent. Again immaculately clean and well maintained. Plenty of sunbeds always available and a lovely play area for smaller children. Location was great, just outside the main town area but only a 5 minute walk. All staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Would not hesitate to make a return visit.
We have just returned from a lovely 10 night stay at the Nikos apartments, Stalis on the island of Crete. The stay was fantastic, the apartments being perfect for a central self catering holiday close to many things to do for a family with easy access to shops and the main bus route. Also, far enough away for a bit of peace and quiet. The staff were very friendly and always there to help if required and there was a lovely friendly atmosphere; we were situated in a room close to the bar and although the bar was open late there was no noticeable noise, and that’s coming from a person who can wake at the sound of a Miskito buzzing; which I should say was also not a problem (We expected more bites but hardly any). We were self catering so we could experience going to different places to eat; but I should say the few times we ate food from the bar were excellent. There was always sun beds available as well as food / drinks. The room was very comfortable with TV and WiFi and a lovely balcony view. I would say that the rooms are excellent value for money; being someone used to staying in more expensive hotels with maybe more amenities etc. The cooking facilities were a little basic, but for me self catering is about going out; rather than slaving over a hot stove; and they are still good enough to knock up a pasta and other more simpler meals. The nearest mini market was about 100 meters away with a larger market about 300. The beach is also about 300 meters away the other side of the main road which is safely accessible via under the road tunnels. Once at the beach you can find endless shops and taverna’s and hire cars, bikes etc as well as book excursions. We visited Herakian which was easily accessible by bus, we also walked to Malia (good 45 minutes), and used the “happy train” to visit the mountain village of Mochos (very nice). There was plenty accessible things to do. Oh and one last thing; I know some reviewers have mentioned the dog (Princess); but let’s just say “all bark no bite”, she was harmless and just greets some new people (me included but not the rest of the family), with a few barks. Not an issue at all. Many thanks to all at the Nikos apartments in providing a lovely location for our holiday in Crete. We had a great time. Paul…
I have a mixed review for Nikos apartments. I ( mum) took my 12 and 14 year old with severe diet restrictions to visit Crete. The apartment was very basic with a kettle, toaster, oven , fridge and electric hob. They did not have any laundry facility or instructions to work the hob / electric oven. No washing up provided or even oven mitts or kitchen towels. A bit of a shock as we reached late in the evening and had to rush out to get everything! I ended up burning the palm of my hand quite badly on the hob top due to lack of instructions on how to work it. On calling for help, the hotel staff did not provide first air infact they just broke a potted aloe vera plant and handed it to me! It is definitely helpful but would have expected a little more. The man did not know how to operate the cooking range (!) himself and we figured it out together! We had a double bed which was fine but the single bed was barely enough to fit my 12 year old! Almost a cot bed. Hindsight I should have insisted on a better room. There are additional charges for AC and tax per day mind you! This threw me back as i was checking out as they refused to take card payment!!! Though a staff member did drive me to a nearby ATM which charged me over and above the exchange rate to withdraw Euros on my debit card.. I was not not happy! The wifi only works by the pool - and mobile signal is very poor in the apartments ! Pool area and sunbeds ( plenty of them) were great! I never ate here except for a rather sad looking Greek salad on one day! The staff were very friendly and had best intentions to help. Location wise it is brilliant , very close to the beach , about 7 minutes walk, ( you can rent out 3 sunbeds for about 9 euros for the day ) with restaurants and shops along the promenade.…
