Cheap, cheerful and very clean.

Very clean place. Rooms where very basic and in need of repairs and modinisation. The balcony in particular was very rickety, I wouldn't want to have children in that room. But the price was great so can't complain too much. Lots of steps around the place, no disabled access and if you've got mobility issues like I do, those steps are very high and don't really make much sense. Some go no where. It's location is good, just across the highway from the centre and not a massive walk to the beach. Only met one member of staff and she was very nice and very helpful. Biggest pluses for staying here is location, price, very clean and friendly helpful staff. Pool was too cold so only used it once, was late in season but still 27 to 31 degrees every day, so I don't know if that's normal or not. …

Terrible

Do not recommend, dirty pool, poor rooms and no one at the reception. I am not picky, but this was too much. Broken toilet.. and broken toilet room. No virw and dead rats in the garden. Pictures are not presenting the right image

Not the greatest

Very, very basic . Clean but basic. The bathroom was the worst. Definite update needed. Arrived early hours of the morning . A note on reception door( reception was the towel cupboard) telling me my room number and that the key was on the door . Obviously security conscious. There was a nice lady at the pool bar but other than that there was no point of contact with anyone for our whole stay. I asked about checkout as we weren’t being picked up until 8pm. ( checkout is 12)We were told we could use the pool shower and there was a toilet . We were initially told we would have to be back at the apartments at 4pm to get our suitcase out of reception as the lady finished work at 4. In the end they said they would leave reception unlocked . Not the greatest experience . Wouldn’t go back. …

Mixed feelings

Hotel room was cleaned well regularly, extremely quiet but a couple minutes away from the strip, which was ideal. However the bar wasn’t open for the whole 12 days we stayed and the fridge kept turning off due to electricity power cuts, which was disappointing.

Basic but very clean and stalis is great!!

It took my friend and I a little bit of time to find the apartments after getting dropped off but when we did we were pleasantly surprised! It was very clean and the location was very pretty. Close to the beach and stalis strip, which you can walk to under a small underpass in 5 minutes. Malia is also only 5 minutes away on the bus!! Staff at the apartments are wonderful and friendly and the rooms are basic but very clean. There is also a wonderful pool but it's very deep so wouldn't recommend for children. We went in June so it was quiet and we really enjoyed it, we would definitely go back there again, we loved stalis, lots of restaurants and bars and a beautiful beach. Thank you Manos and your staff!!

Quiet off main road.

Just right if you want a quiet layed back holiday, far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town. There is a busy road to get across, fortunately there's an underpass takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk into town. It looks a bit basic and could do with smartening up, but having said that,we would go back again.

Its ok for a very short stay.

Well just where do i start, firtly never ever book with Holiday Gems they are just not who they say they are firstly we had book another apartment ( WHICH WE SHOULD HAVE JUST STAYED WITH IN THE FIRST PLACE ) but there was far to many stairs to climb for me as i have legs and back probs. So we changed to REMI APARTMENTS and having to pay an extra wait for it an extra 600 hundred pounds for the change which i thought was a rip of and thought i was getting a lovely new apartments after paying an extra 600 pounds we got nothing better only poorer nothing to what the first apartments was offering us we should have just stayed at the first apartments and just suffered the stairs. anyway firstly after a late flight and after one hour going around dropping people of to there places to stay we arrive at ours well we are thinking it ours we come of the bus on to the main road very dark and told by the driver its up there so I'm thinking and told the driver where is up there we have never in our lifes been in Cete never mind this place so suit cases dropped of we where left standing to where to go we where lost so had to chap on the door of another hotel to ask where the Remi was at last we got it after going around in the pitched dark for half an hour trying to find it , then we find the Remi now we have a problem finding the reception and when we do find it there is no body there but a note left on the door stating that your room is room 20 up loads of stars with all you heavy suitcases and that the key is in the door we had to hunt to find room 20 so one of us looked around for room 20 and the other stood with the suitcases. so now we are in our apartment we just want to sleep . next morning we look around our apartment it has not much to cook with one ring to cook with no oven which all the other room have 2 rings and an over to cook on and if your on a budget like our selfs as we where there staying for three weeks the beds squeaked loudly ever time you would turn in the beds as tried them all except for the concreted ones they where to hard. But now for the shower you have to hold on to the shower head while showering in a small shower room and you really do have to time when you take a shower or you are left out in the cold with no water and shampoo or conditioner my wife head untill the water comes back on so we always was back and in the shower about 4.30 pm but dont all ruch in showers at that time now or you will not all get a shower water will go off. do not as the lady that is owner of the apartments for any things as you will be only told this is not a five stars apartments no it isnt i think only a 2 star but it is stated 3 stars big joke. Rooms are clean with a lovely cleaning lady she will go out her way to try and help you and aslo the man thats works at the bar he told us he is the one that is in charge of the apartments but he still has to ask the big boss owner for any thing extras so wasting your time even going there to ask the answer will be silent. You do get beds changing 2 times week you need it with the heat also your towels. rooms are clean and cleaned regularly. but it is a very noisy place at nights with people jumping in the pool and laughing loudly shouting loud and some playing very very very load foreign music in the middle of the nights whe you are already asleep and this wakes you up and you just can't get back to sleep again we don't mind music playing but not at 2 in the morning and going on till 3 in the morning this went on for a whole week of our stay there and we where staying for 3 weeks we where so shattered when we got back home that we would need another holiday to relax from this one never ever again will we be back to theses apartments we have just slept since we have arrived back home crete is a beautiful ireland but the greek are only spoiling it with being greedy with there guests in the place where they are staying. Even at the airport its far to small for the amount of people going to and from there you can't hardley move in the airport it terrible then when you go to the coffee and me thing to eat bar down stairs under neath the shopping place they ripped my wife of for 2 sandwiches and 2 small bottles of fanta and a capuchino they did charge her 25 euros that was abit heavy and the sandwiches whjere not worth eating not taste all my wife was sort of 5 euros and ask them to wait untill she come over to me to get the rest of the money i gave her 6 euros and she handed them the 6 euros and she never got her 1 euro back the man just put it in his pocket and heres me thinking that the employee are to be honest and trusted big joke never mind he will need the 1 euro much more than i will as the state his country is in even more with the britain leaving the EU HE COULD HAVE ASK ME FOR THE EURO INSTEAD OF STEALLING IT. WILL I BE BACK IN CRETE? Only if i am really really stuck for a place to go on holidays so many places to go and see outside the E U and more beautiful. oooo i nearly forgot hope you are a cat lover as there is loads of them that live in the grounds of theses apartments the place stinks of there urine my wife has a alergy to cats and was getting quite ill while we where staying there and taking her inhalers much more than usual but now we are back home she is fine back to normal with her asthma. we even had to beg the man that works at the bar for a toaster and a spatula just what kind of apartment is this. Its ok if you just want it for leaving your things and trying to have a shower and your head down if you can that is and to think we paid an extra 6…

REMI apartments don't go unless you really have toooooo

Firstly after a late arrival then an hour going around dropping of people at other hotels finally your at REMI apartments well when you actually do find the place after coming of the bus and the driver tells you it up there and you really never been there before and you just don't know where up there left on a very dark road we just couldn't find it any where we had to go to the hotel over the main road and ask them where this REMI was at last we found it it is of the main road outside Cassstello apartment turn left along that path road type the turn right and go up the road and the first on your left is the REMI . The apartments are basic some are studios some are 2 bedrooms apartments and some have a oven we never but could have done with one as we only had one ring took cook on it was terrible and don't ask the owner lady for any thing as she will only tell you this is not a 5stars place only 3 star it's not even that I would give it one if your only looking for some where to keep your cloth in shower and get your head down then this place is for you shower well then take a shower before 4.30or otherwise you will wait 2 to 3 hours for the tanks to fill up even then you in the middle of washing your hair and your left with out water nothing again until hours I was terrible never been in any where with this kind of water problems before we did complain but nothing was done so you where left to suffer and we where there for 3weeks we did suffer. Try and don't get apartment 20 it not nice . Well if you love cats there us loads to choose from I am a cat lover but there is loads and once you start to feed them you do have friends for you whole stay there and more seem to join in with the others. It's very noisy at night time with people jumping in the pool and paying very load music and arguing with each other and sitting at the bar bit with no bar opened to late in the mornings. Check out is at 12 pm afternoon there is no changing room or any where that you can leave you luggage or any where that you can change and to pay for extra time in a room if they have one available and that's a maybe it will cost you 20 euros. The place does stink of cats pea as there is so many of them in the gardens living and the smell us very strong and me I am allergic to cat I have asthma so I had to take my inhaler every day and much more often than usual also I got very dizzy while I was there but as soon as I arrived back home the dizziness stop and my asthma was back to normal again. The apartments are clean they are cleaned every day and sheets regular changed and towels and the bins are emptied every day but there is a lot of ants in the apartments and they will not spray any where you gave to buy the spray your self. Will I ever go back there a big big big NO NO NO NO try to not go to theses apartments find a nicer place.…

Quite recommendable

Very basic, but more than enough for a stay near the sea. Value for money. No air conditioning in the rooms, but we didn't need it at all. A ventilator provided was enough. Light continental breakfasts in the pool bar and very helpful staff. Very close to the sea and major shops yet the sounds of the road weren't annoying. The only problems were a broken shower stand and no hot water left if one showered after 9 pm. Otherwise a very sweet little hotel-apartments.

Value accomodation

budget apartments very basic,but contain all you need.cleaned every day,nice pool and pool area,there is a bar but not open while we were there. owner very friendly.good location 5 minutes from Stalis shops,restaurants and beach.although there is a busy road nearby its not really a problem.if you feed the local cats you'll have friends for all your stay !!
