Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The apartments are located about a 10 walk from Fira (capital), which has a lot of restaurants and some great sunset views. From Fira you can catch a bus to most other places. The apartment was clean and had basic cooking facilities, as well as a small balcony. The pool was quiet and refreshing. We would recommend this apartment if you are looking for somewhere out of the hustle and bustle but easily accessible to other areas.

The apartment was great. It has a nice pool. It was nice and quiet. The host was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Very close to the supermarket and some restaurants. The location was good. We rented a quad and drove around the island.

The location was perfect, we rented quad bikes from around the corner and drove them around the whole island. The bakery nearby just up the hill next to the supermarket was also AMAZING, best sandwiches and pastries for breakfast. Full kitchen and the apartment were perfect and such an affordable price. Very clean and great service too.

This was a good value place to stay. The apartments were clean and they came in 3 times over the week to change our sheets and towels. Annoyingly the pool has some strange opening house so is only open from 10.30-2.30 and 6-9pm... So no good if you're planning on sitting by the pool all day. It's about a 10-15 min walk into Fira where there are regular buses across the island but there is also a bus stop about 5 mins walk away but the buses get busy so I recommend walking to guarantee you get on. Bring some cooking utensils if you plan on eating in... There were 4 sets of cutlery, 2 plates, 2 bowls, 2 saucepans and 1 frying pan in our apartment! So no sharp knife to cut bread at all! Worth a stay if you like to be a bit out of the busy town. Avoid the restaurant in karterados with the lobster on its sign on the road near the apartments!

I stayed here for 3 nights. Apartments were spotless & the owners were really helpful. They will collect you from the port for €15, which was great. There is shops, a supermarket & restaurants up the road from the complex. There is a amazing bakery beside the supermarket!! It's about a 15 minute walk into Fira or there is a bus you can take. We rented a quad bike to explore the island, it's well worth it. I'd also very highly recommend to eat at Mamas house, go early to avoid the queues. Overall I enjoyed santorini, the apartment was great value and its facilities were great but I kinda got sick of the walk into Fira.

The apartment we stayed in seemed a bit old, and that made it seem less clean than it was. There was no dust or anything, but the wear and tear was obvious. Some things were not clean: we found some of the kitchen utensils still had food from previous people stuck to it, and it appeared to have been there for quite some time.. There was a problem with the internet while we were there, and although the owner arranged for us to use the internet of the opposite apartments, it was still inconvenient, because it meant going over to the other side of the street all the time. Still, very much appreciated that she found this solution! Breakfast was rather poor: it was nice to have it brought to your appartment, but there was not all that much offered, and only a little bit of everything. For example, there were only 3 slices of cheese for 2 people, and you could only drink 1 cup of coffee. On the second day, all we got for breakfast was some toast and strawberry jam, and not the eggs, meat and cheese we had also received the day before. The bathroom was big enough, but the shower itself was only 50 by 50 cm, with a shower curtain that did not reach to the ground and stuck to your body while showering, and nowhere to put the showerhead. You coudn't avoid wetting the floor, and it was very cramped. Good water pressure though! The location is okay: it's in a quiet village, 15 minute walk to Fira. It was nice to stay in Karterados because not that many tourist stay there, very different from for example Fira or Oia. Owners are very friendly and helpful :) Our stay here was okay, and it's good value for money, but if I go to Santorini again, I would look for another apartment.

My college friend and I stayed at the Kelenis Apartments for two nights and were completely satisfied with the experience. For an incredibly reasonable price, we were given a nicely furnished room complete with a kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Our host, Stathoula, was helpful and friendly. She even washed our clothes and hung them up to dry for us! It's an easy 15 minute walk from the Kelenis Apartments to the capital area, and a bus stop is located about 5 minutes from this hotel, making this an ideal location.

Fantastic and spacious apartment with everything you need and a nice pool. Only a few minutes' walk to Fira where you can catch a bus to anywhere on the island. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended!

The location is fantastic; make sure you get off the bus from the port at the right stop though, ask the driver to tell you! However, it's only a 15 minute walk from the main town Thira, easily done! There's the BEST gyros shop nearby, all the locals go, by far the best one i had in greece. A lovely little restaurant nearby as well. The rest of the island is easily accessible, and there is a travel agents nearby to help you with ferry tickets and tours to the volcano. The lady who runs it is also very helpful. There is a supermarket nearby, and lots of fantastic grrek bakerys. its not right on the beaches, but they're not difficult to get to. There is a swimming pool as well, although its not in use off season. Two things which were a bit strange; as it was a three bed appt, one of the beds was in the kitchen. comfortable enough, but a bit weird, if you're looking for luxury (which we werent, we paid €20 a night for three if us, great value!). The other thing was, even though we followed the directions, there was no sign outside to let you know where it is; it looks like someones house.
