We arrived to a welcome of tea and cakes having battled gale force winds all day. The rooms were spacious comfortable and nicely furnished. Following a recommendation we had an excellent meal in the nearest village before making our plans for the last day of our trip on the Wild Atlantic Way. Looking out of the window at night there... Arrived early 1230 Friday (attending wedding) to change clothes, nobody at home. Bernadette not too pleased, but did return to let us in. (Check-in of 2pm was NEVER mentioned) Bernadette was not too pleased to make us coffee on arrival..... AND almond slices & chocolate biscuits are not 'home baking' !! Full Irish breakfast ok, however my 'poached eggs' were... More

Anne, so disappointed to read your review of your stay with us. I received your call at 12.07 pm to say you had arrived at the B&B, I was on my way to an appointment but returned in 10-15 mins to accommodate you. I explained that check-in was after 2 pm but if you had contacted me and requested an... More

We loved our two days in this authentic farmhouse. All the amenities, large rooms, and such a gracious hostess. Location is close to Cliffs of Moher and to other seaside attractions. The best part of this B&B is waking up to a beautiful sunrise in the country!

Bernadette greeted us at the door with a warm smile and welcome. Tea and home baked goodies were offered in the lovely sitting room. Once we settled into our room, which was spotless and comfortable, Bernadette suggested a few restaurants nearby. We had a great dinner at Tubridy's. Prior to eating we were given a tour of the farm...watching the... More

This was my second trip and first time visit for my 3 golf buddies from New England on our recent golf trip to Ireland. As usual Bernadette was a great hostess and the breakfast was excellent. My one golf buddy said he had never stayed at a B&B and loved his stay. Will definitely visit again when next in the... More

We are a family of 4 with two small children (a 2 year old and a 4 month old). We stayed at Carraig Na Rua at the beginning of July for 6 nights and loved it! Bernadette and Andrew could not have been kinder to us. We were greeted with tea and cake when we arrived, and every afternoon after... More

Came across Carraig Nua via helpful Sue at DolphinWatch and was pleasantly surprised. In fact, we extended our visit from one night to three, it was so great. Bernadette was wonderfully warm and welcoming, really going above and beyond to help us. Rooms are comfortable and pleasant and cow milking on the farm was interesting to watch. Will definitely return.

My daughter and I visited Carraig Nua and were absolutely delighted by the service. Every need was accounted for from the lovely tea when we arrived, beautiful rooms, fascinating grounds and most of our hosts. They truly went above and beyond. The location is close to Doonbeg, Kilrush and Kilkee. Can't wait to return and visit Carraig Nua again.

Farm house on a quiet location between Doonbeg and Kilkee, in the middle of the countryside. Very warm welcome by Bernadette with tea/coffee and lovely homemade cake. The family room was spacious and very comfortable (very good bedding). Bathroom a bit small but very clean and equipped with a good shower. We can recommend the tour of the dairy farm... More
