Gorgeous place with a lovely atmosphere made by wonderful people! We had a big pleasure to enjoy our italian style wedding party in Agroturismo La Torre and spend a few days with our families. Food was extraordinarily delicious, all made by La Torre dream team. They have got the skills to make your italian dreams about food come true. There...

Stayed the beginning of June for 5 nights and while the decor is a bit rustic and the kitchen could use better small appliances the view and grounds help make up for it. Very clean and the owners are lovely hosts. Restaurant is warm and inviting and food is very good but selecting menu and courses a little confusing when...

A lovely agriturismo on a winding road above Bagni di Lucca with views over the surrounding countryside. The welcome is warm from Paolo and Laura, and the accommodation, whilst rustic in the agriturismo tradition, is spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is a mix of accommodation with bedrooms in the main house (with which you go to the restaurant for...

We arrived at La Torre unexpectedly early so we weren't able to move right into our apartment. No problem. We'd brought our own picnic, purchased at Lucca's Saturday morning market, so Marcella and Laura set us up at picnic tables outside the restaurant--plates, cutlery, wine glasses, napkins--and we had a leisurely feast while they finished preparing the rooms. Il Fienile--living...

I kind of want to keep this place a secret! Probably the best Agriturismo we've stayed in, stunning stunning views of the mountains, a lovely warm welcome, great apartment accommodation (Rio) & we stayed in the b&b rooms also which were excellent. Laura is a very very good chef & cooks the most amazing Italian food every night. The children...

My wife and I, plus parents, stayed here for a long weekend. Paolo and Laura are very nice and very hospitable. All of the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The room was great and comfortable, with air conditioning much appreciated in the Tuscan July weather. The food was wonderful every evening. We would definitely go back....

OK, this was from summer of 2013 (yes, I wasnt doing much on TripAdvisor back then). This place is amazing. Wonderful grounds to wander around, our apt was spacious, well-outfitted, and lovely. With a delightful yard and outdoor dining area. Easy access down into town to get groceries, etc... The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful -...

We picked this place for the views and location. We were cycle touring in the area and after an extremely hot ride, this offered everything we were dreaming of during the slog over the mountains from Collodi - great food, cool room, swimming pool - and on top of that, a great welcome and hospitality. It was a good climb...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the ancient thermal city of Bagni di Lucca, between Lucca and Garfagnana’s area, La Torre is situated on a dominating position in the valley, formed by the confluence of the Lima stream with the Serchio river. The building’s origins are in the 1500, and for many years was the house of the wealthy Clarke sisters from Minnesota (USA), then became a center of studies of the Bologna University.Abandoned in the early 90’s, La Torre was bought by the Tintori family and after many years of work, today it has returned to its ancient splendour thanks to a careful job of restoration of the agriculture and its buildings.Surrounded by olives and chestnuts trees, Paolo and Laura are glad to welcome you in the six apartments (from 42 to 74 square meters) or in the five bedrooms, with elegant furnished in the Tuscan rural style and built in the constructions which were once used by the farmer.Four of apartments are called “ALLOGGIO” composed of a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, a living room and a small kitchen. The other two apartments are called “CASA” with more than 70 square meters, composed of two twin bed rooms, a bathroom, a large living room and a kitchen. All the apartments have an independent entrance as well as a table placed outside, heating, Sat television, telephone, a comfortable couch-bed and some with a fireplace. All the bedrooms have private bathroom, heating and air conditioning, mini bar, sat television.During your summer stay you can use the swimming pool, we use the advanced “sea salt electrolysis” disinfecting system that avoids the use of chlorine. You also have the illuminated bowls area, the table-tennis, mountain bikes, a coin washing machine, internet point with wireless area, playground for children and two barbecue. At the characteristic restaurant you can have breakfast or dinner with special typical menus prepared with what we produce in the farm and the local products. ... more   less
