Podere Casarotta is a XVIIIth century farmhouse in Tuscany which has been renovated in recent years, converted in holiday house with private swimming pool and divided into luxurious apartments for your holiday rentals. In the farmhouse there are six indipendent apartments for rent, each with one or two double bedrooms; the whole holiday house can sleep up to 20 persons. All the apartments are furnished in classic Tuscany style, and each apartment has its own kitchen (well equipped), bathroom and private garden outdoor. The whole property (Podere Casarotta farmhouse together with the Conca d'Oro farm) covers approximately 30 acres, mostly planted with olive groves that surround the farmhouse. The place was called from long ago the "Conca d'Oro" ("the Golden Basin") for its climate, particularly pleasant to people and beneficial to olive oil production. We still produce on the farm our high-quality, organic, tuscan extra-virgin olive oil! Podere Casarotta farmhouse, because of its privileged position in the very heart of Tuscany (and just 5km from the nearest town, Castelfranco di Sopra) offers a perfect balance between rest & relaxation and wandering around: the apartments of our villa will be your luxurious and comfortable starting point for visiting Tuscany! Whatever you are looking for: art, history, culture, parks and nature, wine and food routes, or just relax by the swimming pool in the silence of the Tuscany countryside, you will find them all at hand!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

From the moment you arrive via the small path 500 meters up in the Tuscany hills, you step into a complete relaxing world. This lovely old mansion is set up in rebuild apartments where the exterior and interior are well kept. Lovely gardens and the best view on the area. Given the perfectly renovated pool with most comfortable sunbeds and the great help & assistance by Simone, this place you have to vist for at least a week relaxing holiday!

We spend a nice week at that place where you could enjoy the calm of the landscape of Toscany. The appartement is cosy and the garden with a bbq and a nice swimming pool allowed you to pass a perfect moment. The localization is great for visiting and Simone is a perfect host before, during and after your trip. We highly recommend that place !

This property exceeded our expectations for a fun week with family and friends. An absolutely beautiful, tranquil location, the necessary amenities, a fabulous pool, and the super hospitality of property manager, Simone, who also prepared two excellent meals for our group. Though a country property, we easily made excursions to Florence and to Chianti wine country ( arranged by Simone who was well informed and well prepared to respond to all of our inquiries). We certainly hope to return for a future stay! Thanks, Simone for your attentive care to guests and property!

WE stayed at Podere Casarotta along with 28 other family members. This 300 yr old Villa did not disappoint. The views are amazing. Simone was very helpful and receptive to our needs. We also hired him to cook several dinners over the course of our stay. He went above and beyond with multiple course meals that were amazingly delicious. Overall, it was amazing stay that Simone made even better.

Myself and my wife (from India) joined our son and his fiancee(from the US) and other family members and friends @ this beautiful villa apartments villa complex @ Malva, Tuscany for a brief stay of more than about a week. The apartments were looking cozy. The entire resort complex is situated on the slope of a hillock surrounded by serene greenery and overlooking beautiful views of tiny villages at the downhills. The most attractive aspect of the resort was that one could see the clear blue sky over our head and could try counting the stars and the clear lit moon in the nights and also the rising sun in the morning over the hill top. The villa has a cozy kitchen room with all the required cooking equipment and serving amenities. We had to prepare our food by ourselves while on one or two days the villa resort caretaker Simhone opted cooking for our groups serving us delicious Tuscany fame dishes. Perhaps we are both vegetarian and had only very few options. All the apartments had attached bathrooms with 24x7 hot water supply and a double cot and few chairs / sofas for sitting or relaxing. The road leading to the villa resort was perhaps a little narrow to drive through. Though the resort may not be finding interest for the tourists from India and those who come to just rest and relax due to the absence of ready boarding arrangements availability either in their kitchen or in the nearby surrounding areas. This is a major drawback. Another drawback aspect is non-availability of every day bed linen changing facility, room cleaning, providing the toiletries periodically. Otherwise a nice place to stay and enjoy nature's beauty in many respects.

My daughter and her boyfriend (now her Fiance') rented the Podere Casarotta villa for the immediate family and friends to celebrate her birthday. It is situated at the top of a beautiful valley hugging flower bushes, olive trees, as well as, fruit ones. Well, what a pleasant and beautiful stay we had at this Villa. Historic, clean, beautiful swimming pool, and most of all the professionalism of management and staff. Simone, the ground manager, was accommodating and after a day or two, I felt that I have known him for ages. He is a terrific cook and a great entertainer with his stories and comments. Florence is about 30 minutes ride and there are close towns where you can grocery shop and eat at local restaurants. Thank you Simone and my hope is to return for another beautiful stay.

Dear StanlyW1967, I am very sorry you had an awful experience, and you have every right to complain, but you might want to submit it to the correct recipient... we closed for season in October '21 and we are still closed in April '22 for renovation works (we will reopen in May '22) so there's no way you are talking about us! Indeed, we would be very happy to have you here as our guests to leave you a good memory of our beautiful area. Hope to see you soon! Best regards, Simone

We were really satisfied with clean and spacious rooms and swimming pool area, panoramatic views on Tuscan country and very kind host with his staff. Very good location of the house in olive forest as well as near "Le Balze" natural park. Historic towns Arezzo and Florence are very easy reachable. Overall great experience.

- Simone was the manager when we were there and took care of everything which was critical, very helpful with the villa operation, setting up meals and giving us tourist information - We had 3 meals there and were all great, they did a wonderful job and price was very agreeable, they also provided their homegrown olive oil and some local organic red wine that was excellent - The villa is rustic and old but kept in great condition, you feel like you are living local Tuscan style - Location is in rural on a hill but that appears to be normal for that area you will have to drive anywhere you go, groceries in the nearest town is about 15 minute drive away and accesssible - The access road into the villa is quite narrow so if you are taking a tour bus you have to talk to Simone about size - The villa has multiple units and can accommodate big groups - Highly recommend!
