We stayed at Le Pianore for our annual family summer holiday and absolutely loved the location and the property. Franca was fantastic at responding to my many questions very promptly and was really helpful during our stay also. We had a 1 bed apartment with sofa bed called Dino which was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The pool area was lovely with sun beds and umbrellas. All in all we had a fantastic stay at Le Pianore and would return as we fell in love with Tuscany. Great place to base yourself, about 30 mins to Florence.

Me and my family stayed for 14 days and was very satisfied. Franca was very open and is super helpfull with the things you ask her about. The nature around is beautiful and the locations of this place is just perfect for visiting most of the tuscany sieghts. The pool and tennis court was also really good.
They have a dinner for guest and some of Francas family every week, that is definately something you should try because you get very nice tipical tuscan food and culture.

Truly beautiful location with wonderful views. Very convenient for local shopping and restaurants. We had very hot weather but always felt refreshed by the breezes at this hilltop location. Our apartment (Dino) was basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable. No air conditioning but we did not need it as it kept wonderfully cool due to the thick walls of the farmhouse.
The pool too was spotless and there were large umbrellas for shade. During our time there it was never crowded. There are plenty of shady places in the garden to sit or have lunch.
Monica and Roberto were perfect hosts. Monica was there to greet us when our plane was delayed and we did not arrive until after 11pm. She also provided us with necessities for breakfast for which we were very grateful. Their pizza evening is not to be missed! We would certainly like to return.

Our first trip to Italy and Tuscany, so we were unsure what would be the best option for us (2 adults, 2 children - 11 and 9). Booking rather late meant options were slightly limited so we took a chance and booked Le Pianore (mainly based around the helpful responses from Monica).

We took Dante for 6 days. The rooms are rustic but stocked with all you need. There was no outside space of our own, as Dante is on the 1st and 2nd floors but it wasn't a drama as we could take our meals into the garden and enjoy all the communal spaces.

Monica and Roberto were lovely hosts and the amount of repeat guests was testament to how they look after their visitors.

One small downside was just how hot it was, bit of a heatwave when we visited and with just a standing fan we found it very warm at night. The children had a portable Aircon in their top floor room, but we all struggled to stay comfortable.

Throughly recommend Monica and Roberto's Tuscan meal and Pizza nights. Amazing food, great wine (their own) and great opportunity to meet other guests.

Also Le Pianore is the perfect location for exploring - close enough to Florence to drive in for a stroll, close to the super highway to get to the coast / Pisa / Luca within an hour, easy to pop to Montipestoli for dinner and shopping.

Try the local wine - it's very good!

We'll be going back again for sure.

I visited for a yoga retreat. The place is very rustic, so if that's not your thing, it's not the place for you. If you are adaptable and enjoy nature, this is it. The family that runs the place are beyond warm and welcoming. It's like being in their home.

The food was wonderfully prepared, fresh and organic. They grow everything, including having honey bees.

If you prefer thicker towels, take your own. Also take all toiletries as they are not provided. They do have wifi, but no tv. That said, who needs a tv in this relaxing environment!?! It's a great place to disconnect.

The place is remote, so you will need a vehicle and be prepared for a bumpy ride off the main road. That all adds to the charm.

They can arrange transport to/from Rome, Florence or to a bus or train station for a fee.

The owner arranged a hike and wine tour to her brother's winery. I didn't hike, (glad I didn't because it was like 5 miles) but everyone that did so enjoyed it. I went by car, equally as good. The brother and his wife were wonderful and the wines were good. His wife made wonderful bruschetta to be enjoyed with an even better view.

They also arranged for some local men to sing for us one night. Imagine sitting around a Tuscan farm table having pizza and wine with a roaring fire and men singing in Italian. It doesn't get much better!

This review could take forever so I'll just say that I'd certainly return repeatedly if I were closer!
