Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

nature and the world around are cyclical and subject to cycles. unfortunately the peak of the glory of the resort is over. the signs of decay and desolation are increasing and multiplying. houses and hotels around are half empty. stores are rented out, etc. I am talking about facts, not reasons. for this money you can get better conditions imho.

We were warmly welcomed, the staff is very friendly, the food is excellent, the room was tidy, you get bathrobes and towels for the pool. I have a complaint about the very uncomfortable bed, the mattress is so soft, I can't judge if it is old, so that's the problem, you literally fall into the bed. A big complaint is about mowing the grass. One side of the hotel overlooks a beautiful park, but the mowing of it takes place at 07:00 in the morning on Saturdays, so 3 huge lawnmowers roar under your window, which is very stupid considering that we came to relax in the spa. The pool looks much bigger and more luxurious in the photos.

Exelent! Great friendly staff and great food. We stayed in the Lux double grand room. The room was clean. The swimming pool is only for hotel guests and is not crowded. The ROI SPA is a dream. It was realy a nice weekend. I absoluty recomend to visit Grand Hotel Sava.

Entering in the room for the first time we found the room dirty. The sink doesn't work. Bed is too soft and seems to be old and very used. The pool.is very small and sauna doesn't work because there are not enough people in the hotel. This are the words of the pool keeper. The translation in italian language in the dinnig area are wrong, for example zuppa ai porri was translated as zuppa al vapore. Wi-fi connection is very bad.

We visited this hotel in February and that time was very well spent. Food was very good with wide varieties of dishes. Our room was clean and spacious enough. I loved pools and saunas, especially Roi medical center. Shops on the ground floor were unfortunately closed, but cafe and restaurant were good.

At the Grand Hotel Sava, my partner and I spent 2 nights with half board, which turned out to be a very average experience for a 4 * star hotel. I would commend the helpful and friendly hotel staff. The quality and choice of food was excellent; definitely on an expected level. We stayed in a Lux room, which was described to us as above standard, but in reality the room is relatively small and very average. With the moderate occupancy of the hotel, we were greeted by an extraordinary crowd in the pool, which is absolutely too small in terms of hotel capacity. The price included 3 hotel saunas, available only by prior reservation, where available visits are extremely rare. Advantages: + quality and choice of food for every taste + direct lift from room to pool and saunas (Lux rooms) + friendly staff Weaknesses: - crowded and very busy parking lot - very difficult to open and close balcony doors due to poor design - limited television scheme without English programs - non-functional safe - leaking toilet - otherwise good fitness, but definitely not heated enough - the hotel is without any animation that is otherwise advertised in the offer; both bars were also closed - in the pools, which are without ambient lighting, not a single massage nozzle worked, which we have not seen anywhere else Summary: the price of the service is definitely 4 *, but the offer does not exceed 3 *. Anyone who wants a 4 * experience will not find it here.

Rogaška Slatina was considered a royal tourist destination. Kings and emperors are supposed to come here. But with hotels like Grand Sava, they can only be compared to Moldova. The hotel has high prices and the services are miserable. The rooms are a maximum of 3 stars and the bathroom does not deserve even two. A normal person cannot sit on a toilet bowl, the need can only be performed inverted by 90 degrees (as shown in the attached picture). I recommend avoiding the hotel until it is renovated. The beds are uncomfortable and although I chose a better LUX variant barely 160 cm wide. Despite the fact that animation was mentioned in the offer, nothing is happening. The offer mentions unlimited use of the sauna, but you can only use it for 15 minutes, and only if you get a free appointment, which is almost impossible when busy.

Where to start... The food at dinner and breakfast is terrible. Cold, cheap and utterly disqusting. I feed stray cats better. No coffee at breakfast until I got up and tracked someone down (the coffee is bad). The doors from the bar to the outside were closed, so we had to carry the coffee outside all the way around (the waiter would not open the door) There was nothing available. I could not reserve a single thing (during our whole stay), absolutly nothing. The lady at the spa center told us to come check every hour if there is an opening (I guess calling is too much) The staff was unhelpful...the reception lady told us to go somewhere else for spa treatments and could not recommend a single restaurant to eat at. The rooms are old and yellow, the matress is probably older than the hotel is. I payed for an upgrade to lux rooms and the receptionist had no idea, even tho we eamailed the details and confirmed them. 2 days later, they still do not know if I got the correct room. The shower is small, I can barely turn in it. Everything is cheap plastic thruout the hotel. The drink prices are insane. At least 2-3x the prices of anywhere else in the country. In short...avoid at all cost. Never comming again.
