Booked as a solo traveller some weeks ago, and the ONLY room left was a single occupancy on the 6th floor. Despite emailing the hotel a number of times in the weeks before my holiday asking for any possible upgrade to a sea/pool view room, there was unfortunately no opportunity to upgrade. I was going in a little blind as there were not any photos or descriptions available for the room I had booked. Arrived at 10:00am, and had to wait until midday for room to become available. When entering the room it was noticeable how small it was, but not really intending to spend much "awake" time in the room I was happy to make do - until I opened the door to the balcony! NO view at all even though on the 6th floor, other than a maze of fire escape stairs coming down from the upper floors, or the solar powered/air conditioning littered rooftop of adjoining buildings. Who is at fault for marketing this accommodation - the hotel, or the travel agency? Room: Good aircon, no English speaking TV channels, no tea/coffee making facilities, had to pay for use of the safe! Wi-Fi was a little sketchy and dropped out whenever moving from room to room. On a positive note, the hotel was exceptionally clean, especially in the Dining Room, where the attentive staff cleared tables and relaid with fresh linen within seconds of the diners moving on. The food however in my opinion was extremely limited/repetitive, unless of course you like pasta and/or chips! Being diabetic it was pretty much salad all week! Along with the salad, which of course you would expect to be cold, all other supposedly hot food was tepid at best. The dinner dress code was non-existent with football shirts, baseball caps, vest tops, and crop tops being the norm. Come on hotel, a few of the ladies clearly made an effort to dress up but they were in the minority! The pool area was pretty good, with no need at all to get up early for the "towel on the sunbed rush", and if there was not a lounger available there was always the fabulous beach a couple of hundred metres from the hotel. Evening entertainment around the pool every evening was not representative of anything Spanish, which was a shame - a man with a synthesiser playing dodgy tunes! As you would expect, the greater majority of guests were either Spanish or French, which is fine, however the English being very lazy and relying on staff being able to speak English, are going to be bitterly disappointed. Would I visit this hotel again - probably not - which is a shame. However being fully booked all summer they clearly do not need to do anything different!

For a sea view room: great location, half a block to beach, very extensive breakfast, modern bathroom, big balcony with furniture and clothes drying rack. Secure storage for our 2 bikes, spacious room, good air con, staff helpful. A great choice.

If diving is one of your main reasons for going to Estartit, then the Panaroma should be your choice The El Rei Del Mar diving club is directly annexed to the hotel and this in turn makes your diving vacation extremely pleasant.. I can't say enough good things about El Rei Del Mar... They are a great team with great facilities. Concerning the hotel, it is very clean, everywhere... From the rooms, to the Jacuzzi/Sauna to the restaurant and the bar.. 5 stars for this . We had a fifth floor room overlooking the sea, which I would recommend.. The rooms are not small but not very large either ... My only regret would be the extra bed in the room which we didn't need and if it had been removed would have made the stay much more comfortable.. For the 2 other single beds it's possible to ask for a double mattress so don't hesitate... Not perfect but not too bad either.. The furniture was getting long in the tooth and it was obvious that the salty sea air had had an effect on the wooden furniture... I am removing a start for this , for a 4 star the furniture needs replacing.. The bathroom was large , clean and comfortable.. The little unstocked fridge was a welcome item, there is a small supermarket nearby so it's easy to have a couple of drinks at normla prices in the fridge.. You have to pay for the safe.... ggggggrrrrrr . Personally I feel that this is a little too much.. You have to pay for parking and it can get busy to be careful there... I would not recommend parking on the beach. The restaurant is run by a vey special lady... She will be retiring soon which is a shame because if you take the time to get to know her she is a wonderful character.. Don't let her apparent sternness fool you, she is actually a very warm, and funny character. We used the Jacuzzi a lot, nice way to wind down after a couple of dives... You have to pay but it then becomes private and it is cheap... It's not the most beautiful hotel or very luxurious but for the price it is excellent. We will be going back ...

We are at the end of a 2 week stay here. I last reviewed the hotel 3 years ago a nd have visited every year. Our return must say something about our excellent experiences here. Every year there are improvements in the amenities and the food. As usual the staff were all helpful and friendly. We will obviously return in 2020!

the town was very quiet and the hotel was not much better. Customer service was cool to say the least. Parking was extra, of course! But I did not expect to not be able to work the in room safe before being told you need a key and that is Euro1.50/day!! I entered the dining room for b'fast and as no one was there I took a table that looked unoccupied away from the tables marked for groups etc. Some time later a stern looking woman asked for my room no and said next time please ask for where to sit!! Really??

I booked the holiday for myself and my mum through Jet2 Holidays. I found the entire trip a great success from start to finish. The hotel was very close to the beach and everything you would need is within a short walking distance from the hotel. The rooms were cleaned each day with fresh towels provided and the general service at the hotel was good. The food within the hotel could have been improved by offering more of a selection especially at breakfast times. Overall we enjoyed our 7 night stay and would recommend a visit.

Stayed in the Panorama for three nights on a short break.Hotel is in a superb location a stones throw from the beach.Rooms are a fair size and we managed three adults without feeling overly cramped the rooms are cleaned daily and beds very comfortable soundproof wise cant complain did not hear any noise during our stay.Buffet breakfast which is available between 08.00-10.00 was adequate with varied choices however eggs bacon and other items were often cold which was annoying.Evening buffet available between 20.00-21.30 was again varied and decent quality varied dishes of fish chicken meat etc, usual salad and sweet stations.Facilities of a gym sauna and indoor pool are a plus and we used all during our stay and spotlessly clean.Bar/lounge hosted low key entertainment which consisted of guy on keyboard singing and residents up having a dance which resulted in a good family friendly atmosphere, service in the bar excellent and prices fair for a hotel.Summimg up a good mid range hotel geared towards families in a great position with good food (when hot) decent facilities and courteous staff.

My family, my boyfriend and I went on a Spanish holiday in L'estartit and decided to stay at the Hotel Panorama. I was on the first floor in a twin room with my boyfriend, the rooms are clean and tidy and we had a little balcony too, I was worried about noise during the night as our room faced the road, but wasn't disturbed by noise at all and slept very well every night we were there! :) The food at both breakfast and dinner was very good with a wide range of choice. The hotel is also in a brilliant location with shops, bars, restaurants all in walking distance and is just across the road from a lovely beach! :) The only complaint I would have is about a certain member of staff who I personally thought was rather rude to us as a family for not much reason. This was a young man who worked on the bar, on one night my Dad wanted to order cocktails at the inside bar, on which he was working, however he told my Dad he wouldn't serve him one at that bar for some reason and told him he had to order at the pool bar outside instead, even though I'm sure I saw them later on making cocktails at the inside bar. On another night I ordered cocktails for my parents at the bar, and I was asked which type of alcohol I wanted in each? Surely a cocktail is made in a particular way? The recipe doesn't change every time? I tried to order my mum's but said the wrong alcohol and so tried to change it and asked whether they could remake it with a different alcohol, his reply was ' I have already made it with this alcohol so I can't really change it now'. Just being a bit difficult, he could have easily tipped it away and made a fresh one, that is his job anyway as he is a barman. However, this is my only complaint as all the other staff seemed lovely and we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Panorama and would love to return one day! :) Thank you very much for reading and I hope you find this review useful! :)
