Everything was perfect, really nice time with my family and girlfriend, really clean, nice staff and swimming pool. Breakfast was correct but available for probably a too short amount of time. I almost miss being there! It was maybe a little too expensive for two nights, but it was worth the price, I will come back for sure when I'll travel to Pineda again!

Just back from a one week stay at Sorrabona with 2 kids - aged 9 and 11. Have stayed in Palamos a couple of years ago, so knew that the Costa Brava coast is extremely nice for a beach-vacation. The Hotel is located in one of the very best cities - Pineda de Mar. A rather small place which has kept most of it's orginality - event though it's a very popular holiday place for spanish and french tourist. The city rather calm - no discos and fancy nightclubs - suits us very well. The hotell is kept extremely clean! Most impressed - as we have spent holiday in both mainland Spain as well as on Tenerife in hotels where the smell of mold is very disturbing. Not so at Sorrabona - our room looked like the painters had just left and all the cabinets smelled perfectly clean. The room itself was for 4 and pretty basic - no fridge of safety deposit box. No sofa - besides the four beds, there's a desk and a chair. The beds themselves were ok - no trouble sleeping. Also appeared to be nice and clean - no bedbugs! The bathroom was fairly spacious and covered with tiles all over - so appearing far better than the 3 stars would suggest - looking very good and stil spotlessly clean all over. The bedding was changede everyday by the very nice and cheerfull staff - so were the towels. We went for halfboard - including breakfast and lunch. Both are buffet-style and very nice - everything being very delicate. For breakfast we had a choice of ham/cheese/jam and about 3 warm dishes (bacon/sausages - sometimes scrambled eggs) and cereals/milk. Lunch was fairly varied with a mix of some of the same dishes being served for dinner (which we also bought a couple of times) - so all inn all - very satisfied with the food. The kids also loved it and had a very nice stay. The man taking orders and generaly being in charge of the food/serving, is called Sasha - nice and cheerfull man, as well as being very serviceminded. We also parked our rentalcar in the backyard all week - very much recomended, as there's very difficult to find parkingspaces around town. Not too many restaurants in Pineda de Mar, but the few we found, were nice - as well as the 2 dinners we had at the hotel. So all in all - we can really recommend this hotel - also loved the location around 40 metres from the beach. The road outside the hotel, as well as the railway between that and the beach, represents no problem. The perfect hotel and location if you want a rather calm (but not booring!) holiday. A word on the beach - which goes on for miles - absolutely great! Mind you - it's a bit crowded in the summerseason, but there's a nice downbeat feel to it. The water is also nice and clean and warm - around 24 degrees. The hotelpool was also nice and clean. We used Ryanair and landet on Girona Airport - about 40 minutes drive. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the hotel/city of the Costa Brava coast. :-)

The hotel on arivall was, the only way i can explain closed!!! The first week in june! We had to ring the bell to which a spanish man let us in and gave us keys. He could not speak a word of english, at all!!!..... We woke to find we were the only guests in the hotel. The breakast can be described as unedable and anyone looking to book half board as we did can expect to eat out. Three times a day as the evening menu has no choice and is of a poor quality. I honestly do not know were these other people stayed as it cannot be this hotel in pineda. Room was clean and tidy but we had a real issue with damp sheets. Everyday!!! The tv can only pick up 6 channels only one of which is english news channel. The hotel is full of 70+ residents and feels like you are staying in a poor quality old peoples home... Non of the staff speak english an when trying to complain will say "no comprende"... The lift door has no safety device and trapped my partner and childs pram between and took real effort to free them. When we told the receptionist... "No comprende"!!!! The pool had bits floating on top and we could see the dirt at the bottom. I am still staying at the sorrabona but didnt want for someone else to make the same mistake we did by booking this hotel based on the false reports!! I can only think they are false accounts!! The area is run down with lots of graffiti and smashed up tvs and cabinets evwrywhere! There was a big sign up in reception warning people of muggings outside the hotel addressed from the police!!!! The snak bar and pool area was a poor attempt and we had to spend most of out time at the local taurus park hotel just to be sure of the safety of our children. The cleaners leave your balcony door open after cleaning and the way the local area looked we had to wait till after the cleaners had been to shut!!! The hotel is also freezing at night and no heating is provided! The access to the front of the hotel is not good. Overall i would not book here at all!!! There is no shops or resturaunts just two shopfront pubs. The area is derelict!! And the hotel is not suitable for anyone never mind familys. As i say i am still staying here but did not want anyone else to be in the same predicament i am searching desperatly for alternative accomodation!! If you do not believe me or the one other person who has rated this hotel terrible feel free to try it out to your dissapointment. TERRIBlE!!!!!

We spent a few days at this hotel. Rooms basic, but clean and tidy. Breakfasts also basic. Coffee out of machine was dreadful. Breakfast room staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Bar staff were helpful and cheerful. Bar prices were good. Pool area was well kept and plenty of loungers. Evenings on terrace spoiled by well-oiled guests being loud .

Stayed 6 nights at Sorrabona and enjoyed our stay there. The room 116 was very spacious with a sea view beyond the road and railway and the breakfast here was good with plenty of choice. The restaurant in the evening was a bit too 'floodlit' for our liking, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants near by. Pineda De mar is not the most picturesque resort, but it has a good beach with a few beach bars/restaurants. Most of the coast line from Barcelona has the railway running in front of the hotels, but at least the station is close by!
Overall a good value hotel for exploring the area.
p.s don't park outside on thursday night as there is a Friday market and your car will be towed and cost 140euros to recover

Just came back from Sorrabona Hotel, very clean, Staff were very helpful and polite, and the food was very nice with a good selection. It was an ideal location, across the road from the beach. Would go back again.

Just returned from a weeks all inclusive stay in the Sorrabona. Good time was had by all. Thoroughly recommend. Generally very friendly staff and a great location by the sea. The room was well equipped and cleaned everyday. The staff all spoke English and we're happy to help. Food was very good ( although my vegetarian daughter got a bit sick of chips or pasta. Will probably return next year.

Me and my 3 young kids stayed here last week. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was very modern but basic, i couldnt have cooked very well as had no oven. Also the apartment was 3 roads from the main hotel, so was the parking for the car we hired. This was ok for first few day but got a bit annoying after as when we wanted to use the pool or get a drink we had to walk 3 roads away.about 300m. I know its not far but it feels it when kids are with you too and your walking past joe public, bins and park ect.. Would have been nice to have had a hotel room with balcony over looking over the pool like the rest instead of an apartment over looking the back of another apartment so no sun tanning on the balcony. Entertainment at this hotel was none existent. one guy playing a keyboard on sunday was about it!! Believe me you wont have to fight for a seat!
Pineda de mar is a quiet town and there are only a handful of places to eat. There is a english bar around the corner from the hotel. Scouser guy runs it and he has had it for 30yrs. Food was ok, nothing special 11 euros for chicken bacon and chips.. bit bland. english breakkie 5.95 was ok but small. There are a number of spanish run pizza restaurants which seemed ok. We went to the 4star aqua hotel down the road for food one evening, was very nice, most of the guests seemed to be russian. was a buffet but food was spot on 14.50 euros for all you can eat . not including drinks.

The train station was a 5 min walk from the hotel and you can get the train to Barcelona.
Calella is also one stop away oneway and santa sussana one stop the other. Good for a night out in the evening.

The beach was pretty busy. Be warned its not poper sand., its man made crushed shell as we found most beaches were on the Costa Brava. So dont waste your time bringing a bucket and spade as kids wont be building sand castles.

Overall the Hotel is good if you want a nice relaxing quite holiday and arnt fussy with food.
I feel a little disappointed as I fell i payed over the odds as in august and was not what i expected. I expected more. A kids club would have been good and room in the hotel complex, not 2 roads away. But i suppose each to there own
