We’ve just left after a 1 night stay after a long day of sailing yesterday. It was a perfect choice, absolutely lovely staff, spotlessly clean and right by the seafront! All for an incredible price. Thank you!

My wife and I stayed at The Hotel Alaska on 3rd May for one night. The hotel is up a side street behind the Don Giovanni restaurant and about 50 yards from the beach.
We didn’t know what to expect at first as it’s rated as a one star hotel but booked it because of all the reviews. Whoever rated it as a one star must have had the hump on the day of the review as I would certainly give it three stars.
The hotel is spotlessly clean and all staff that we met were friendly.
Our room (305) and bathroom were also very clean. We had a comfortable double bed, flat screen TV, fridge and safe (extra charge), air-con and ceiling fan. There was no bath but a very nice shower. Take your own shampoo and shower gel though as you only get some little sachets. There was a terrace but the view was of just a part of the hotel.
Breakfast was basic with toast, cereals, cold meats and cheeses and pastries and tea/coffee. The usual continental breakfast. The cost of breakfast was in the price of our room but if it wasn’t I don’t think I would have paid 6.5 euros for it.
The hotel is about 50 yards from the beautiful Mar Menor and there are various bars and restaurants all nearby. The mud baths are about a ten minute stroll. There is ample parking on the side streets but I can imagine it gets very busy in the summer months.
Overall, ignore the one star, this is an excellent little hotel and we would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend it.

We booked this 1* hotel on the advise of friends who were staying in a rented apartment round the corner.
This hotel was welcoming and comfortable.
Our room was spotless and new orthopaedic mattress ensured a good night's rest.
The room provides everything you need including a safe.
The room is cleaned every day and the towels replaced every other day.
This is a family run hotel and the staff could not do enough for us. My husband was unwell one day of our trip and we were provided with extra water and offers of help.
Breakfast was a selection of bread, homemade cakes and Spanish omelettes and sweet bakery products, fresh fruit and cereal. The coffee machine produced wonderfu
l coffee.
Check out was quick and easy. Our five night stay with breakfast cost €230. Excellent.

The room was fairly small but had everything you could wish for and there were lots of places to put things, very well thought out. Beds and pillows comfortable, shower good.
The highlight was Miguel the receptionist, he was so kind and helpful and could not give us enough information especially about good restaurants.

I had a great week sun every day.The hotel was in a good position, close to the beach. The room was nice but it didn’t have any sun because of the position of the single rooms so it was cold. The bed was comfortable and nice bedding. The self serve breakfast was good and plentiful .
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Every where was very clean.
It was good value for money but I wouldn’t stay again because of the lack of sun in the room.

We booked this hotel after all the positive reviews in here, and I must say we weren't disappointed. The place is a 1* hotel but as a matter of fact it feels more like a 2*!

There is no pool onsite but the fact that you have Villananitos beach literally 10 yards away more than makes up for it. The mud baths are about 10 mins away by foot and are a must see for all newcomers. If you plan to spend all of your time in San Pedro it's probably best not to bring a car (like I did!) as the town is reasonably small and on street parking spaces are scarce in the summer.

Breakfast was buffet style and it was good enough for the price we paid. A lunch menu was also available serving typical Spanish food.

Finally kudos to Miguel in reception, who went above and beyond to make us feel confortable during our stay. Keep up the good work amigo!

Absolutely faultless Hotel with fantastic helpful staff with a perfect location close to all bars restaurants kiosks mud baths fun fair.
It’s officially a 1 star Hotel probably due to the fact that there’s no pool, however with the sea literally just 20 metres away no pool is required.
The guests are mainly Spanish which for me personally was a nice thing, quiet at all times both day & night..
I will definitely be staying here again & cannot thank Miguel enough for making my stay so pleasant..
Please keep up the good work..
Muchas Gracias Miguel & staff..
Andy

Four of us stayed overnight in two double bedrooms at the Hotel Alaska after reading the very positive reviews on Tripadvisor.

For a very reasonably price the hotel was fine for a short stay situated just a few minutes walk from the beach and close to the centre of Lo Pagan.

Both of our rooms were on the second floor and were clean with good sized bathrooms with efficient showers, fridges, TV and air conditioning.

The staff on reception were pleasant and the breakfast included in the room cost fine for what we wanted. The breakfast was all self service using a coffee/tea machine.

The hotel seems to cater mainly for spanish holidaymakers visiting the resort.

Free on street parking was available close by and plenty of bars and restaurants a couple of minutes walk away.

Until you get your bearings navigating the one way traffic system in the narrow streets is a nightmare with one way traffic along the seafront promenade from the San Pedro direction.
