We booked a night away to include a 3 course evening meal, breakfast and a round of golf. In August this was £290,
Friendly welcome on arrival. Check in is at 15.00. We knew this and planned to walk into Hunstanton. It would have been nice to have sat on the hotel patio, overlooking the course but the hotel bar does not open until 17.30 so we had to go the the Clubhouse. We had a steak sandwich which was very nice. In our opinion the hotel patio is more comfortable, not somopen to the elements as the clubhouse.
Our room was in the annexe and on the top floor. There is no air con but a blind to stop the sun coming in and an oscillating tower fan which was needed. The room did cool down as the sun set.
The bathroom had good quality toiletries, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion along with tea/ coffee making facilities.
The bed was large and comfortable.
Our evening meal was very nice, choosing from a decent selection of courses.
We opted for prawn cocktails, cod and pork belly. Desserts, cheese and biscuits and Elton mess.
Breakfast was a little disappointing, we were fairly squashed into the Drawing Room as the restaurant was full.
It is self service for beverages, toast, cereals, fruit salad, yogurt and your hot order is taken and delivered to the table. I had two poached eggs on toast, the toast was rock hard as it was cold and the eggs not particularly warm. My husband had a sausage sandwich and again the sausages were lukewarm.
After having such a nice evening meal it was a shame breakfast was not of the same high standard
Perhaps you could ask the housekeeping team not to have their walkie talkies on full volume. The linen cupboard was next to our door and we could hear their conversations, even when i looked out of our door to see what the noise was, the chap there let the conversation carry on. This was around 9pm.
We didn’t use the Wellness area but I had a look round it’s newly opened.
I have rated our stay as excellent as we had a great time.

Well I pulled up outside and thought what a stunning place and I'm sure with lots of work it could be .My room was in the hotel itself and it was lovely and big but definitely needs a redecorate. The walls are grubby and damp mark near window . It states rooms serviced each day but i returned on m6 second day to see the cleaner had been in and half hearted made the bed but left the dirty cups and spoons as they were even though she filled the coffee/milk up .dead flies were also left on windowsill. I think for the price it should be right My evening meal was very nice on my first night although very long winded. I hear the second night was a washout glad I'd booked meal elsewhere that night . Breakfast was just silly . No cups waiting 15 mins for clean ones no small plates food took ages . Now 1 member staff was off sick but they are clearly understaffed and the waitresses not trained at all. Clearing tables before everyone finished eating . Cleaning tables with cloth and spray in one hand and clean cutlery in the other . I washed then and they just didn't have a clue . I enjoyed the area and as I travel solo I don't like confrontation otherwise I'd have asked to move room . So unless your not fussy about these things choose somewhere else to stay Just such a shame because with right manger and staff training it could be a great place because its location is fab

My wife and I (retired couple) have just returned from a one night stay at Heacham Manor Hotel. Our room was in the Lavender Cottage "block", it was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Because we had earlier in the day enjoyed afternoon tea at Sandringham we did not really want much dinner. Instead we chose to work off our afternoon tea by walking through the golf course and Searles Holiday camp onto the promenade at Hunstanton. This was a pleasant 20-25 minute walk.
On walking back later that evening we called into the hotel's Pavilions sports bar for a nightcap. The bar was quite quiet and we enjoyed a very pleasant glass of wine before retiring for the night.
I had seen a few negative reviews about the breakfast at the hotel and so was slightly anxious about breakfast the next morning. I needn't have worried as it was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had for sometime. There were sufficient numbers of staff on duty and service was prompt and friendly. The cooked breakfast was really nice, it made a change to have a hot freshly cooked to order breakfast compared to the "barely warm" food found so commonly found at buffet style breakfasts. We plan to visit the hotel again at some future time. Thank you.

We booked 2 nights in a cottage suite (self catering) at £200 a night with breakfast in the hotel. Unfortunately we only ended up staying one night due to illness. The area is lovely and the hotel is centrally situated. The grounds are mainly golf course and it did feel a little geared towards golfers. There were 2 large party's staying so we were told what times were available for our breakfast as they had to cater for them first. The cottage was in dire need of a makeover, tired furnishings, dirty walls and the ceiling fans had a lot of dust on top of them. The boiler was leaking and the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working (no window). There a large chip in the bathroom sink. The radiator in the bedroom did not work and the door to the bedroom had dropped, so making it difficult to open/shut it. There were no sockets anywhere near the bed. Of the 4 staff we spoke to, 2 were lovely, and 2 were plain rude. The bed was comfortable and clean and the kitchen/bathroom was clean. It wasn't so bad I would not have stayed another night however I was very disappointed and would not book again. I do feel it was very overpriced for what it was.

Unfortunately this review isn’t the best, My wife and I have stayed at this once wonderful hotel in excess of 10 times over the years, after our last visit we will now need to find an alternative hotel for when we visit Norfolk, We cannot fault the room we had, however the staff and service was very poor, we booked a dog friendly cottage suite, great accommodation, clean and roomy. After we had checked in we thought we would go and sit upstairs on the pavilion terrace overlooking the golf course, we walked up the stairs with our dog, ( a small well behaved Yorkshire Terrier) the young girl who was a member of staff said hello, she watched us go out and get a seat and get comfortable, I then went to the bar to get a drink, it was then I was told that dogs weren’t allowed upstairs even though we was outside and that we could go downstairs and sit outside, ok I said not your fault but none of this is stated online or on any of the paper work I received when checking in, no big deal we went and sat downstairs, we sat outside, the staff cleared the table of empty glasses etc but left a few odd peanuts on the table and didn’t even give it a wipe, surely it should be common practice to give the table a wipe and make sure it’s clean. I appreciate the staff are all young and could well be very new or even training but this should be standard procedure, I went to the bar got a drink, I was amazed that I was being charged £3 for soda water, the bar tender put it through as Lemonade, it was SODA WATER but he came up with some excuse of not being able to put soda water through, I couldn’t be bothered to argue as it was hot and I just wanted to relax with a drink after a long drive. The next morning at breakfast we sat at our table at 09:50, two other couples came in the restaurant after us and had placed there order before we was even acknowledged, after 20 minutes of waiting and watching the waitresses walking around as if they were in a daze and didn’t know what they were doing I asked if we could place our order, we ordered 2 breakfasts one without Mushrooms, the food eventually came out, minus the black pudding, my wife pointed this out to the young waitress, her reply was I’ll go and get it for you, great I thought, we continued to eat our breakfast and the same waitress was in and out of the staff bit whilst we ate, we finished our breakfast still without word from the waitress and without our black pudding, the waitress didn’t even come and say sorry we’ve run out or sorry it will be 5 minutes, she just ignored us, we got up and left, when we checked out we wasn’t even asked how our stay was, Shocking customer service at this once great hotel, all the staff are very young which I have no problem with, however the hotel management team need to ensure there staff are ready and fully trained before they start working in this very busy and demanding customer facing industry, we over heard several other people complaining so I’m sure the hotel will not be surprised with this review.

Excellent hotel in wonderful location. Ideally located within a short distance of Heacham. Bus stops ideally situated outside hotel with easy access to Kings Lynn, Hunstanton and Fakenham. Good facilities on site but limited menu choices in Mulberry restaurant is only drawback.

Genuinely really disappointed in this stay, apart from reception all of the front of house staff were rude, none of them looked like they wanted to be there or greeted us at all. Breakfast was miserable and they started clearing away all the continental bits by 10am when breakfast runs until 1030, the staff were rude and abrupt. There was a wedding party below our bedroom that had music blasting until past 12am to the point that our mattress was vibrating, we were told we'd just have to get on with it essentially because they wouldn't be turning it off In the morning when we spoke to reception they acknowledged that our room and 2 others should've been blocked off from even being booked that night as they knew it would be loud, we were told the manager would call us later to work something out - that was 9 days ago and they have yet to call. We have emailed twice with no response and phoned them ourselves 3 days ago to which they said they would call us back and never did. For the amount that was paid for this room for 2 nights we were incredibly disappointed with the hotels response rate and lack of care towards our experience. This was supposed to be a trip away for my birthday and it was just really poor.

What a lovely hotel and dinner in the restaurant on the first evening, only to be spoilt by the rugby scrum at breakfast.
We visited for much needed rest and recuperation, only to find the next morning that breakfast was all self service except the hot main course. Even coffee and tea had to be made in the machines by the paying guests and carried with all the other crockery and food backwards and forwards to their tables. A route march.
Toast had to be put through the toaster and waited for while it browned and all the time people were queuing behind waiting to toast their own. By the time we had collected , made and delivered all of the crockery, drinks and food necessary for our breakfast the toast was soggy because it had been waiting for such a long time and there was no toast rack. and we were very stressed by it all and worn out.
What ever happened to waitress service and care of guests in what we expected to be a good hotel. It was just like a motorway services and so stressful when one is already very tired and expecting to be looked after especially with the prices charged by this hotel.
Dogs are charged at £10 per night each and dog friendly rooms are not serviced by housekeepers even if the dogs are not there.

With fantastic meeting facilities, a competitive delegate rate (includes meeting room hire, lunch, dinner, bed & breakfast) all set in a stunning location .... this proved to be a fabulous choice for us to hold our board meeting.
The meeting room itself had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. We requested a finger buffet lunch but had both hot and cold foods of great quantity and quality, then a welcome surprise later with warm pain au chocolate, divine!
After the meeting concluded we had a drink on the rooftop terrace overlooking a stunning golf course before checking into our rooms. Reception staff were brilliant, very welcoming and highly organised. Our rooms were exceptional and very spacious with some lovely little touches such as a personal handwritten welcome note which I appreciated very much.
Dinner in the Mulberry restaurant was wonderful, great food and wine in a lovely setting and our waiter, Harvey was very attentive and deserving of a special mention.
Breakfast was equally marvellous, particularly the granola which must be their own special recipe.
After a lovely walk through the golf course to the sea front (about 20 mins or so) we checked out and I couldn't resist buying a bottle of their own gin which is also pretty special.
The service didn't stop there, a week after the event, I received a personalised handwritten card from Anthony thanking me for booking and hoping to see us again soon. Another lovely touch!
Cannot be any more complimentary, a wonderful venue what ever the occasion

Really disappointed with the whole experience, drab and unappealing room, fixtures and fittings nothing short of needing a refurb. Breakfast was absolutely disgusting, I'd asked for a vegan breakfast in advance of booking and told this wasn't a problem, at breakfast though we were told by a vegetarian that no vegan breakfast was available and even the sausage had wheat in it so no good ( had to laugh) . So we had undercooked hash brown, cold cheap baked beans, cold wet mushroom and the sausage which made for a completely awful breakfast. Complete rip off for the price of the stay, wouldn't recommend at all.

Hi, there does seem to be plenty of parking around the hotel. You could certainly walk to either Hunstanton or to Heacham beach from the hotel. If in doubt, call the hotel first. I’m sure they’d be happy to help. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. Not sure what happened to put others off, but we had a fantastic meal at the hotel restaurant. They’re not ‘servicing’ rooms because of Covid but we recently stayed at a famous hotel chain and they didn’t service rooms either for the same reason. As you’re only staying one night, that shouldn’t be a problem. And we stayed two nights and coped perfectly well with what I feel is a perfectly reasonable action to take at this time.
Dear Jan,
Yes we do allow you to walk across the golf course with your doggies on a lead. we have a map in reception to show you the line of play.
With very best wishes
Sarah
