We booked this accommodation (Hamstalls) believing it to be suitable for a wheelchair user, having read the accessibility statement and poured over the photographs - it wasn't. Loo access was a nightmare - there is one vertical handle at a distance from the loo which made transfer impossible (we did seriously consider going home). The door to the other loo...

We have stayed at this place almost every year for the last 6 or 7 years. The location is quite extraordinary and the quality of the accommodation is great. We had some real difficulties with our car last time and our hosts could not have been more supportive. Very much hope to return very soon.

We spent Valentine's weekend here and had a great time. The welcome pack of eggs, bread and jam was very welcome. The cottage so very cosy, mostly due to the underfloor heating and wood burning stove. Great location for walks along the Severn and only a short drive to the Forest of Dean.

Hoolet is a lovely comfy cottage with a great log burner, in a fantastic spot on the river Severn with great views. We were greeted with a welcome pack of fresh bread, eggs, butter, apple jam and local cider. The cottage feels very isolated but is only 10 mins drive to a good selection of shops including a co-op and...

Spent last weekend here with my oldest friend and my little dog. The cottage is absolutely beautiful. Well kept and spotlessly clean with all the mod cons. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet in the countryside surroundings. Some lovely walks and fresh air. Done us the world of good. We hadn't stopped for lunch on the way and to...

Just returned from a memorable stay at Hoolet cottage. The setting is really beautiful, located at the end of a quiet country track overlooking the river Severn and Old apple / plum Orchards. Upon entering the cottage we were greeted by the smell of freshly baked bread (baked by Trish), fresh eggs from the resident hens , home made jam...

A week spent in this beautiful setting was a real privilege. We stayed in Hemstalls, which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is modern, clean and very comfortable. We were welcomed by the Ian and found the cottage elegantly prepared and lovely edible goodies for us to enjoy. Plenty of hot water, a laundry and drying room, fully equipped...

We gave Ian and Tricia less than 24 hours notice but they kindly put themselves out to accommodate us for a last minute trip. This is the first time we have stayed here at Hamstalls but if we come back to this area then we would definitely stay here again. Nothing was too much trouble and they providd an array...

We've stayed at the Hoolet twice and are planning to return. Hoolet is the smaller of two self catering holiday cottages tucked away by the Severn estuary. At the end of a dirt road through some fields, the location is peaceful and idyllic. From there you can go for lovely walks along the river or take the car and explore...
