Built in the late 1800’s, the Royal Station Hotel has been a landmark building in the small market town of Carnforth for almost one hundred and fifty years. The hotel has a prominent position on Market Street, directly opposite the historic station, made famous by Oscar-winning director, Sir David Lean’s 1945 film, ‘A Brief Encounter’, considered by many to be one of the most romantic films of all time. Overlooking Warton Crag, the hotel boasts thirteen en-suite bedrooms, ranging from cosy doubles to executive four-posters. The cosy restaurant and quiet bar area offer a selection of traditional, home-cooked dishes, made using local ingredients wherever possible, as well as a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. we arranged to meet at this hotel for lunch. All went well and we all enjoyed the food and the new ambience of the Royal Station Hotel. Many local people had not been in to see the new set up after the refurbishment. Excellent.

We've eaten here a few times and, with the breadth of choice around here, they are genuinely doing something right. Head Chef Brian and Tapas Chef Pablo are turning out some great dishes and even the ones you've had before are more elegant here....a smart take on Patatas Bravas

Please advise how far parking is
outside but only short term you can park in the station which is only 2 mins away but you do have to pay
