We only had a one night stay outside of London and we chose the Manor House in Monkton Combe. What an excellent stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable for 2 adults and 3 very energetic but somewhat jet lagged children. Norman and Beth are extremely gracious and informative hosts living in a beautiful and historic home. If we had...

The Manor House is hidden away at the bottom of a lane, it has real character and charm and it run by a very friendly and helpful couple. Breakfast was wonderful, cooked to order and as much tea and toast as you could eat. The rooms were a good size and the bed was really comfortable. We didn't have a...

What a lovely place to stay. The service is absolutely first class and you are made to feel most welcome the moment you arrive and nothing is to much trouble. We booked The Tudor Wing as we had three teenage girls with us and it was just perfect. The breakfast in the morning had everything on offer from cereal, freshly...

We had the most amazing stay at this house, the photos don't do it justice! We especially loved spending time in the conservatory and the beautiful garden. The house is equipped with everything you could possible need especially in terms of the kitchen equipment for a large group. Would not hesitate in recommending this property, Beth was fantastic to deal...

This was the perfect place for our week-end stay in Bath, Norman & Beth are the perfect hosts! Nothing was to much trouble, we were even given a lift into Bath as we needed to be in the centre by 9am! Before all this we enjoyed a full English Breakfast perfectly cooked, Monkton Coombe is very pretty we would recommend...

My partner booked this as a birthday treat for me, and where I go so does my springer spaniel so he made sure it was dog friendly and dog friendly it was. The couple are just lovely, the rooms quirky but stunning, the house was a treasure trove and would make the perfect setting for a huge game of hide...

We stayed here for one night through Travelzoo which included an evening meal wine and breakfast. We found the lodge room more than adequate and only a short distance walk from the main house and restaurant. The gourmet evening meal was excellent, with a great choice and was cooked beautifully. The breakfast was also cooked to perfection, and the choice...

What a great find. The warm welcome of Norman and Beth set the tone for our two day escape from the usual. Almost hidden at the end of Mill Lane and surrounded by the picturesque hills and valleys nearby, this quietly lovely Manor House with open log fires crackling here and there was the ideal base to explore Bath from...

I researched where to stay near Bath for quite a while and decided upon the Manor House for the combination of close proximity to bath (£9 - 12 taxi ride one way), the idyllic surroundings and the cute rustic charm from the pictures. From the moment we drove up to the front of the Manor I knew it had been...

We decided on Manor House after looking for cute and traditional little cottages in the Bath area to spend 3 nights in for NYE this year. It was 4 of us (2 couples) and a baby, so we were looking for somewhere nice and quiet to relax after Christmas and we found just the spot. Indeed, as other people said,...
