I am sorry that you had not noticed that we do not take pets, previous experience, over 30 years, has led us to find an owners assessment of their pet's behaviour is seldom as believed and can leave us with a room which is uninhabitable. Carol had entered your room to find your cat walking across the bedspread only to start scratching at the carpet. In the long past we have found that the mess, damage and smell left behind by pets can take a long time and be costly to eradicate hence our pet policy. We must also consider our other guests who may not be quite so pet friendly as we found was also the case on this occasion. I would suggest that in future to avoid confusion and disappointment that when you are booking accommodation that you make it quite clear that you also have a pet to be accommodated.
