Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We’ve stayed at Homelands several times now and have never been disappointed. The house is warm and comfortable, there’s parking for two cars and the staff are friendly and helpful, the surrounding countryside is beautiful and you have the beach right on your doorstep. I would definitely recommend Homelands.

What can I say. The properties we hired were so spacious . We had 2 groups of 6 in Selkirk and Emsdorf and we were able to socialise in one of them all together . Beds , pillows were so comfortable . There was everything there you could possibly need .

Emsdorf is a brilliant lodge and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Accessibility is fantastic - all of the doors throughout are possible the widest I've ever seen in an accessible accommodation. Homelands have an access guide with heaps of detail, but these were my favourite bits: Hall: Huge hall with plenty of space to store and charge a scooter. Kitchen: I loved the wheel-under breakfast bar/food prep area and the hideaway oven door Living area: The huge patio doors leading out the paved patio area are fantastic. Bedroom: Both beds were very comfortable. The wheelchair-user height clothes rail in the wardrobe was very much appreciated. I don't currently use a hoist but it was great to see the ceiling tracking hoist. Bathroom: The wetroom bathroom is huge! Has a hoist, several options for shower seating, and I loved that the grab rails were chrome - definitely more stylish than others I've seen. There's also another separate accessible toilet downstairs! We didn't use upstairs but my wife had a look and said it's all very high quality up there too. It's clear Homelands Trust really care about their guests and the accommodation they provide. We met Kim the general manager who was so lovely and helpful. I stayed at Emsdorf to put together a video, blog and social media review- socials @wheelybraw. I highly recommend a stay here!

Homelands in Leven is such a beautiful location and the lodge we stayed in Cardy, was perfect in regards to meet our specific needs. Spacious, comfortable, all specialist equipment for a disabled person provided. Love the utility room for keeping on top of laundry daily. Staff , Simon and Kim were very very friendly and welcoming and helpful. We booked for next year as we're so impressed and can't wait to return.

We have been visiting Homeland for about eight years. The lodges are spacious, spotless and the beds are so comfortable. There is now four new lodges added to the original ones. This charitable organisation has thought of everything needed for all different types of disabilities where people can have a relaxing holiday. The staff are so nice and nothing is a problem. If there is something you think that would be helpful to you to make your stay better then just ask at the office. Homelands is a dog friendly place and walks on the beach which is just a short walk from the complex is great for both dog and able bodied owner. Homelands is situated at the start of The East Neuk of Fife it has easy access to beautiful scenery and lovely villages with lots of nice tea room and places to stop. We will be back thank you Homelands for providing a great place to holiday.

The best accessible accommodation we have ever stayed in with our daughter who uses a power chair. Every piece of equipment you could possibly need is provided and the lodge is spacious , spotlessly clean and luxurious. Great for the whole family young and old with great facilities nearby including a big park for the kids. Beautiful area with lots of places to visit but you do need a car to get about. Well done homelands you are outstanding at what you do and all accessible accommodation providers should look to you for inspiration. We will be back 👍

The lodges at Homelands are set out well, everything you might need is at hand and the staff at Homelands will arrange anything else should you forget something. The area has plenty to offer everyone, plenty of walks and sights to see. local shops have most things also supermarkets are not far away The best thing about our holidays at Homelands is the ability to relax with everything provided and enjoy the peace and local area. As a family with a disabled daughter we would thoroughly recommend Homelands for a relaxing holiday spacious lodges and everything provided.

Homelands is really well set up for my daughter and her needs from the profiling bed, electric chair to the shower trolley and ceiling hoist. We are all together as a family with the open plan even to the garden which is lovely. Our dog loves running through the doors too! Staff are very helpful too.

We have stayed at Homeland many time it is beautiful accessible accommodation with everything you need with good instructions for all the equipment. We stayed in one of the new lodges. The furnishings are lovely and the beds are comfortable with lovely bedding and pillows. Booking is easy either on line or by phone. It is situated at the beginning of the East Neuk of Fife. There is plenty of information about the surrounding area and where to visit. I would highly recommended Homelands for anyone who needs accessible accommodation. This is a non profit charitable trust so they need bookings.
