Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Drummochy Lodge is a superb 8 bedded holiday home with all the facilities needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay for a disabled person and the wider family. Its location in Lundin Links is near to some fabulous beaches and walks for children and adults while the comfortable and peaceful surroundings of the lodge itself allows everybody to benefit from the fresh sea air. The local shops are friendly and well-stocked and there is a super playpark for children very close by. Homelands is indeed a home from home!

We have stayed at Homelands twice and found it ideal for our needs. Our son is a wheelchair user who needs full care, but can (and loves) driving his electric chair. Homelands has an excellent space for doing this and the profiling bed, ceiling hoist, shower trolley (provided at no extra cost) and smaller details such as a trolley with washbowl all make caring for him as easy as possible. This means that we too can enjoy the holiday without becoming exhausted (we are not spring chickens any more...). The lodges are beautiful and comfortable. We have eaten in a number of hotels and restaurants in Lundin Links and St Andrews and felt very welcome on every occasion. We have already booked another trip for next year. I am also very pleased about the good availability of electric vehicle charge points. Our own car is electric and we very much want our son's next adapted van to be electric- it would be ideal for his general use.

Just spent Monday to Friday In drummochy lodge, where do I start.. stayed here previously in one of the 2 bed lodges which was fantastic, and to say I was amazed at the size of drummochy is an understatement, the lodge is huge! It has 4 bedrooms two downstairs with profile beds (and single beds in the room beside them) both have tracking hoists which is brilliant, and two bedrooms upstairs, one massive double and a single (which also has a pull up bed) the view from the double is defiantly something to write home about! There is also a bathroom upstairs.
The equipment that is available is everything you could possibly need if travailing with someone who requires hoists ect. Both profile beds also have airflow mattresses,
The lodge comes with all bells and whistles for an Accessible holiday,
Can’t praise the lodge and site enough and can’t praise the staff enough they are so helpful and friendly,
Thank you again

We have stayed in Homelands many times because it has everything needed for people with disabilities and it’s dog friendly. The lodges are well equipped and the staff can’t do enough for you. You can also book treatments if required.
Homelands is sited in a small village which is part of The East Neuk of Fife. A short run by car takes you up the coast through the villages to Crail and St Andrews.

Drummochy house at Homelands provided the accommodation and facilities to suit our family holiday, catering for my husband in his wheelchair to our 9 month old grandchild with a travel cot and high chair. The location in Lundin Links is ideal for beach activities for the able bodied and is within a short drive for visits along the Fife coast to the quaint villages and interesting places of interest. We all had a fun week together and are looking forward to our next trip in March.

We stayed in Drummochy lodge, which sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms. Two of these are ‘accessible’, with a profiling bed and ceiling tracking hoist i each.

My son, his wife and my 2 granddaughters joined us. The lodge was perfect for our needs, with one powerchair user and 1 temporarily disabled ambulant guest. It met ALL our needs. The virls LOVED the mezzanine balcony and used it in the morning as a quiet reading area, allowing their Mum & Dad to enjoy a long lie - even on Christmas morning till 9am. They are exceptional children, I think but I’m a tad biased.

This was our 21st stay at Homelands in the 7 years it has been open. We moved next door to Cardy lodge for New Year because we love this place.

Our first stay at the lodges ideal location about 15 mins drive to St Andrews/ Anstruther. The disabled facilities ie wet room , ceiling track hoisting adjustable bed with airflow matress are first class. Evrything has been thought of. The lodge was cleannwell equipped and very spacious.I did feel the lounge furniture was a bit tired looking.

Thank you so much for your 5 star review and for staying with us at Homelands. We do hope to welcome you back in the future. We appreciate all of your comments and are hoping to look at a phased schedule for refurbishment over time in our existing lodges once we get the new lodges completed and guests staying so as not to affect our availability. Homelands and specifically Keil lodge never let us down, we always feel a 'wow' as we walk in.
Clean and so well equipped for our family of 4 (plus pooch) which includes our adult son with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (fully dependant and powerchair user).
Apart from his personal equipment the only other thing we have to pack are slings as much needed items- like a Freeway t80 reclining high backed showerchair- are available to book at no extra cost to the holiday.
Being able to cook/ bake from scratch and having your own laundry room are such an added bonus for us too, we didn't require to pack excessive amounts just to survive the week.
Highly recommend and we will certainly be back.

We had a midweek break, all adults. Having been there several times before this year did not disappoint. The accommodation is ideal for us. My sister found the wet room and downstairs bedroom ideal for her needs. The space and ability to move around easily in her wheelchair was very welcome.
We ate in 3 nights out of 4, and the kitchen area was well equipped.
Everything about our stay was positive. Contact from homelands trust and instructions for entry were timely and informative.
We had already booked for next year by the time we left.

The best accessible accommodation we have ever stayed in with our daughter who uses a power chair. Every piece of equipment you could possibly need is provided and the lodge is spacious , spotlessly clean and luxurious. Great for the whole family young and old with great facilities nearby including a big park for the kids. Beautiful area with lots of places to visit but you do need a car to get about. Well done homelands you are outstanding at what you do and all accessible accommodation providers should look to you for inspiration. We will be back 👍
