What a lovely overnight stay. We had room with a balcony. Beautiful vintage furniture. Bathroom excellent with double shower. Had a meal on the restaurant which we couldnt fault. Owners were very friendly. Will definitely be back for a longer stay Hopefully in room 101!

This hotel is very functional if away on business with immaculate bedding and room cleanliness. Yes it's dated and yes it's tired but for the money it's good value. Dinner no issues with, breakfast another matter. There were construction type workers there having breakfast who all walked out after stating their sausages were frozen as were the mushrooms on their... More

Excellent soup and service on both occasions I have visited this new cafe. Quick service, good coffee and choice of baking supplied by local bakers. Basic decor but clean. Lovely, very pleasant and chatty girl behind the coffee counter on both my visits which is more than can be said about the owner who was very rude to her within... More

Arrived on a cold damp evening. We were welcomed with a warm welcome from the new owners of the hotel. There is a nice restaurant and a trendy coffee bar on the premises too. Our room was spacious and clean. WiFi is good and a good size TV in the room. All the staff seemed very friendly and professional. I... More

I spent on night here and had dinner and breakfast too. The building itself is very nice and inside while a bit worn it's clean and homely. Room was great, not chic in any way but comfortable, good temperature and very quiet. Bed was good too. Dinner of Cullen Skink and lasagne was good and the beers were in great... More

The hotel is classed as Inverness but it is actualy about 15 miles away and takes 20/30 minutes by car. Hotel itself is good but in need of some tlc but understand it has a new owner so it will take some time to change things. I met the owner on check in and hes a very nice chap as... More

Second night staying here now. Granted, shows a little wear and tear in some places but overall service was great. Clean bed/bathoom, no cobwebs, lovely textiles in the room. Given it's age (c150+ yrs) the hotel is lovely and warm despite the miserable weather outside! Most of the food in the restaurant is homemade and what I've tried so far... More
