Beautiful place, perfect detail and thoughtfulness. They just got everything correct and every room and place was wow with different cool details and surprises. The food was amazing and service top notch. The owners and staff could not be more accommodating.

………you are in for a real surprise! 3 years ago my uni friends (of 44 years) and I booked South Dell to spend a few days together for our biannual meet up. Unfortunately, the pandemic delayed our visit but eventually we were able to enjoy the tranquility and comfort of this little treasure in the woods. Polly was on hand to meet us, there were homemade cinnamon buns and flowers on the table (the joy…) and the kitchen was stocked with essentials such as tea, coffee and oil. The accommodation was perfect…..simple and functional, with hot water and heating if needed. We loved the local forest walks, had a great time on the zip slide and I enjoyed the owl in the evening, the dawn chorus and woodpecker as a wake up call. The Dell is a great place to enjoy local attractions…. We spent a morning at Loch Garten with its resident Osprey, Goshawk and White tailed eagle, had a swim in the river Feshie and spent a day on The Jacobite Steam train (unfortunately a wet day so visibility not good). I wouldn’t hestitate to return again one day and to recommend The Dell to others. Thank you very much Polly and Ross - so pleased to make it at long last. Jo Saville

We had a fantastic 3 day stay in March, the cottage was perfectly laid out, really cosy and easy to feel at home in. Superb location and perfect balance of privacy but with the lovely people running the cottages easily reached to order more venison salami and prosecco when needed! Would make a great place for a friends get together too.

Travelling on the Caledonian sleeper from London to Inverness, I joined my family for a much needed half term break to stay at The Dell. Whilst chugging through the night I was romanticising about the welcoming house in the woods and curling up with a good book by the wood-burning stove. My standards are exceptionally high and The Dell at Nethy Bridge didn't disappoint. In fact, I was completely blown away. Polly, Ross and their two lovely boys welcomed us like family. Not often in life can I say that I felt completely connected. Not only to the incredible setting of the beautiful stone house, but the family too, who were genuinely eager to ensure we were happy and had everything we needed, including the delicious home made chocolate brownies! The roll top bath and luxurious aromatherapy bath foam lulled me to a stupor as I collapsed into the most amazingly comfortable bed with fabulous linen, where I slept as if I hadn't slept for an age. The break was everything I wished for and more. Amazing walks in the forest, with just the birds for company, fresh clean air to breathe and even though I have been back in London a few days now, my head and heart is still in Scotland. If you are lucky enough to visit this special place, go and experience yourself.

The Dell at Abernethy is a gem hiding away in the Abernethy Forest, a stunning location to explore and relax, Polly, Ross and the team really make you feel at home, the food is amazing (everyone should book at least one meal there during their stay...its delicious!), the accommodation is spotless and thoughtfully set out, the furnishings are pure luxury and the kitchen well stocked with sharp knives (a rarity compared to other places). We can't wait to go back.

We rented two cottages (East Dell and little Dell) for 3 nights in Feb 2022 with family of all ages and 2 dogs, and we had the most lovely break. Polly was very helpful getting in touch prior to our arrival and was there to greet us and help with our bags to the cottage (which was tricky in thick snow!). The setting was beautiful (woodland walks right on the doorstep) and the accommodation was very stylish, cosy and homely with everything we needed. Would also highly recommend ordering from the Dell grocer in advance - in particular the lasagne was delicious! Thank you again for a lovely stay.

We all had a great week staying at The Dell & had perfect weather. The house is spotless & very homely, we loved it. The tipis are stunning & a fantastic treat to also hang out in. Ross & Polly are fantastic hosts & we would definately go back to the Dell. Thank you for making our holiday special. Best Wishes, Sharon, Pete & family. xxx

I've never stayed somewhere that felt like home so quickly. Polly greeted us and showed us the cottage where there was a roaring fire waiting for us. The decor was cosy and homely. Polly was amazing throughout our stay (and our wedding!) It honestly felt more like we were staying with friends than hiring a self-catering cottage! I'd absolutely recommend ordering some meals from The Dell Grocer because Polly's food was like nothing I've ever tasted! A venison pie and a plum crumble, delicious pizza meal kits and the BEST brownies! The cottage stands in the most beautiful surroundings and we even say a woodpecker outside our window! There isn't one thing about the trip I'd fault, and we booked to return before we'd even left!

West Dell cottage was warm and beautifully comfortable for 2 families to enjoy being inside and outside together. The windows overlook the lawn and play area and the boys very much enjoyed exploring, trampolining and using the zip line. Everything was clean, organised and designed with guests in mind. The owners were thoughtful (brining us some eggs for breakfast) and helpful (when children went hiding). Highly recommend, I will definitely look to go back again and soon.
