Good location. No rooms on the first floor; only rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors. There is no elevator. Some inside rooms are quieter. Some rooms smell awful. Be careful. Good TV cable. Decent wifi. Good value. Nice staff.

There is no elevator and some rooms on a third floor. No restaurant or bar operating. Parking is available about a block away and has limited hours, but front desk staff was good and friendly. Im not happy about that. i love mexico but no that hotel.

We only stayed at the Hotel Colonial one night while traveling between Mexico City and Morelia. We wanted a place that was affordable and in the very center of town. The Colonial worked out well. A room for two was roughly $30 US (400 pesos), very clean, and with a nice bath with almost immediate hot water. It looked like...

I read reviews before our stay and believe that the improvements to this historic hotel continue. It was an excellent value for the one-night stay that we needed. Very convenient to restaurants, stores, and historic sites. Our room (210) had a working tv with cable and a few English speaking channels. The remote is given with the room key. Our...

Very affordable hotel in central Toluca for the traveller that wants a classical colonial style hotel. The hotel is relatively well kept and shows its great past. Unfortunately this type of hotels are not so popular with travelers anymore. It is clean and the room we had was large. There are few amenities but that is compensated for by the...

It's a pity the hotel is not well kept because the building in itself is exceptional. The staff is very friendly, but no one offered to help us get our luggage upstairs. For our money, from Acapulco to Mexico City, we found so much better. The restaurant and bar are closed, forever it seems. In our room, there were only...

Hotel Colonial is a pensioner's hotel in a great location. It's not very clean, and the place smells like cigarettes and sewage. The lobby closes early and you have to wake up the night watchman to get in. There's no elevator, and nobody to help move your bags. The beds are not very comfortable. At night, cold air comes into...
