We were a large family that stayed during the last week of Decemebr 2016. We were completely satisfied by our stay.Even my Dad who is critical about things was extremely happy with the rooms, the well maintained gardens, the flowers and the fruit trees around.Sandra and Neil had taken all efforts to make sure that all facilities were provided. Thanks.

We stayed in one of three purpose built 2 bedroom units. When you come to the door you walk through a lovely scented jasmine arbour by a fountain and a formal garden. (This property has other kinds of units.) The unit we stayed in had a small kitchen with everything we needed (and provisions to cook your own continental breakfast...

Hi Edward, Many thanks for your thoughtful review, its always great to hear what guests have loved about the cottages, and what we may be able to do better to make their stay even better. Thanks for your comments.. we understand your issues with the luggage storage in the bedrooms for those that dont like to put their clothing away....

We arrived at the cottages feeling a little jaded after a lot of travelling and were immediately impressed with how peaceful and tranquil the setting is. I had been a little apprehensive following the pictures on the website that the cottages may be a little too close together but the layout is very well done so that each cottage feels...

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was wonderful to be given fresh eggs from the owners chickens and the complimentary breakfast was so convenient to have. Laundry room came in useful as did the BBQ. The gardens are beautifully landscaped with the smell of Jasmine surrounding us in the evening whilst having a glass of wine on...

We stayed for six nights over New Year at Kingfisher Cottage, which is across the road from Clive Colonial Cottages. This was our first family holiday in Hawke's Bay and we couldn't have chosen better. Sandra and Neil, the owners, have a lot to be proud of. They've worked wonders with what must have been a pretty dilapidated property -...

Even though the cottage is a little further south of Napier, 15 mins drive, it turned out to be a perfect stay. Lovely quiet rural surroundings in a picture perfect garden, came with orchard and hens with only a two minute walk to the coastal beach which was great for beachcombing. There is also a walkway alongside an interesting wetland...

BZ has places you must see or activities you must do - and this is definitely a place you must stay. An ecpetionally friendly hostess, a warm welcoming place which feels like home from home and a gateway to Napier, Hastings and Cape Kidnappers. Also, food for breakfast on your first day. What more can you ask for? Martina

We booked 2 nights in Tui Cottage and could have stayed longer. Sandra greeted us with a warm smile that never seems to leave, she was very friendly and welcoming even though we arrived an hour earlier than the check-in time. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of our cottage and the fantastic gardens the 3 cottages sit in....

Charming cottages. Very comfortable. Great location. Friendly owners. Close to the water, and close to many wineries. Convenient location. A great place for quiet and peace. Lovely gardens to walk around. Good TV and Internet service. Had free washer/dryer. Nice bathroom and bed. Stayed three nights there on a 2-week NZ trip. Wish every place was like this.
