Wonderful house to celebrate a special occasion with family. Thanks to Vicky for a very warm welcome. The grounds are fabulous. Dogs are welcome which is very important to our family. All bedrooms are very comfortable - a home from home. Can't wait to visit again.

We had a family holiday with 3 generations (and dogs) and all 12 of us found the house and grounds to be perfect. The teenagers loved the games room whilst the adults enjoyed the well appointed living rooms either in groups or in quiet areas to read and relax. The bedrooms and en suites were fine, the formal dining room was...

Arriving at Mount Amelia can be a little haphazard as you have to phone to let the owners know what time you will be there, and mobile coverage in the area is not 100%. Once ensconced it is as though you are staying at your own country residence as you have a key and come and go as you please....

I was met by Caroline and she was very helpful. I have recently had a knee op done and was wanting to use knee cyro-cuff. She offered me use of the family kitchen in order to access the ice machine. The house and the grounds were beautiful. The weather was shockingly horrible but it was irrelevant. The rooms are stately...

Hi. I hope your knee is just about better? I am so sorry you had such awful weather during your stay with us; it is never nice, but it's good to hear that it didn't effect your enjoyment of our B&B facilities, the house and grounds. We would love to welcome you back for a longer stay next time! Thank...

We were very fortunate to attend a family wedding at this fabulous country house. Every detail was perfect, from the setting to the furnishings, the catering, flowers etc. The owners go out of their way to ensure that every need is taken care of, and all you need is to be lucky with the weather to ensure the perfect occasion.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mount Amelia - Ingoldisthorpe Hall is a self-catering luxury venue for 18-20 people a few miles from the North Norfolk coast. The Hall is set amongst its own grounds of around 30 acres. We also have 3 estate cottages that can be hired with the Hall (or on their own - Ivy Cottage, Grooms Cottage & Gardeners Cottage) - accommodating an additional 14/15 people. The Hall can be hired for full weeks, mid-week or weekend breaks and is especially great for family gatherings, celebrations, reunions and relaxing holidays. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the reception rooms have open fires/log burners, lots of gorgeous period features and the whole place if full of memorabilia. We provide linen, towels, heating and fire wood (1 basket per fire). The Royal Estate of Sandringham is only 1.5 miles away and there are many other beautiful houses to visit near by too. The wonderful wide open beaches of the North Norfolk coasts are only a few miles away and there are lots of great pubs and restaurants to try. ... more   less
