The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Onomichi JR station and the Fukuya Department Store. Free bicycle rental is available for those who would like to travel farther away for meals. Those are probably the only good points about the hotel. Now to the bad points. While facilities are generally well maintained, they are obviously getting old and...

Very courteous, thoughtful and eager to please. Manager came to the room three times to make sure the air conditioner was working to our satisfaction, show us how to open the window and brought an additional fan. Breakfast one of the best at a business hotel, staff warm and helpful in every way

Stayed at Alpha One for five nights. Checked in by the only english speaking staff member. Room was rather small which is typical in Japan but just big enough to open 2 suitcases. The double bed is hard up against a wall. Mattress firm and pillows hard with some sort of plastic beads inside them? Toilet had all the bells...
