Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sealey's Inn
J. P. Alejano Street
Brgy 2, Sipalay City
Negros Occidental 6113
Deluxe, Double & Family Rooms
New 14 fully air-conditioned rooms, cable TV with no USB plugin. The TV says it has a USB connection but I couldn’t find it; (21 channels of which 3 are in English; Al Jazeera, Fox Sports 3 & Fox Movies. The rest of the channels are Filipino & some aren’t clear) & private CR. (?)(Toilet)
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are available on request (It costs extra).
Gated with 24 hours CCTV, Hot & Cold showers are available in some rooms.
Guest can cook & grill for free.
I arrived late one evening (18:00) on a bus from Dumaguete City. I already had a booking. I asked for a quiet room, so I’m off the street. Sealey’s Inn is a bit out of the city. It’s an average place with a small room with a bed, a tiny desk (Bring a chair from outside) & hooks on the wall. The bathroom has; 2 soaps, tissue & 2 packets of shampoo.
The wi-fi is less than average, IT COULD BE BETTER, as it has in other Negros cities.
The wi-fi is pretty poor; I tried to log on to the internet while doing some documents BUT I gave up after 30 minutes!

I booked this through AirBnB— decided to stay one more night since it’s somehow an ideal place if you’re visiting Danjugan Island.

Pros (+)

- Spacious parking
- Clean and well-maintained inns
- Affordable, for P1000 (roughly $20/night) you get to have a double-sized bed, comfy pillows, reliable ACs plus hot & cold showers, basic cable tv
- Ceres-bound bus, shuttles pass through Sealy’s
- The Mixed Food Restaurant (best place to dine!!!) is nearby

Cons (-)

- Food is limited to basic Pinoy meals (fried rice, eggs, processed meat)
- It was quite hard to hail tricycle/ bikes
- Gotta pay additional for extra blanket

Sealey's Inn is a new hotel, and everything works. A tiny room with two twin beds, air-con and hot water for 1000 pesos a month. They said I could have a room without hot water for 800, but I didn't look at that one. Family room available too, or so I hear. It's behind the Catholic Church and the Catholic School. (Holy Rosary Academy, I think). The Catholic complex is behind the park and Landbank. So the hotel is on the third street south of the main drag from the National Highway to the beach. 9*44'50.35" North; 122*24'13.05" East. The hotel itself doesn't show on Google Earth because it was built since the March 2016 picture.

I never imagined for such a small place to be cozy. I felt comfortable staying here since it was peaceful around and not too crowded. I would've like it better though if they do something about the slow internet and cable tv situation. All in all, I would recommend this place. If you're looking for a budget friendly place but aren't willing to sacrifice comfort, I recommend this place to you. It's at the side of the busy part of the city but shops and restaurants are still nearby. Ideal place for people who want to relax. The staff were nice and accommodating, too.

Staying here was worth it.

P.S. I recommend the breakfast meal tosilog sold at the canteen!

Though small but clean and convenient rooms for 2pax. Stayed with my other 7 family members (3 double rooms). Better go for a double room. Affordable. Courteous employees. Near the food park with many choices to eat and are affordable too.
