We've been here last 2010 of February. Back then the pool and the new building isn't constructed yet. They only have those bungalows available for reservation. The room is spacious enough to move around. I especially love the "Philippine Bamboo" theme that they had on our room. The AC is cool enough and quiet for a goodnight sleep. The food is a little bit pricey but was tasty enough. Having the view of Sipalay while having your breakfast is a good way to start your day.

There isn't much night life here. If you are looking for a place to party then this isn't the place for you. However, if you want to relax and just unwind with family or your other half, then this is the perfect place.

You can just rent local boats to do island hopping for a day. Go snorkeling. The water is clear and if you're into diving, there's so many diving spot to choose from here.

All in all, this is a nice place to just get away from stress and be in one with nature.

We love Nataasan Resort. Everything is perfect. Though one is not allowed to bring in food, the food at the restaurant is a bit pricey but it is worth every cent. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more because unlike other overpriced resort restaurants, the food was worth it. We also did some boating, the view was beautiful and we made the boatman stop in the middle so that we could go swimming in the open sea. Campomanes bay was beautiful but one needs to wear water shoes so that you wouldn't hurt your feet. We enjoyed our stay though there was not really much night life at Nataasan and the owner didnt like too much noise at night. But overall it was a beautiful resort and definitely worth it.

Nataasan is supposed to attract foreign guests. I dont think the quality of service and food is up to par. My husband is American, he ordered a burger ... Was not close to even resembling an american burger. I ordered brewed coffee; not available since I was told the machine broke. Brewed coffee can be made without a machine.

One thing that this resort does have is scenery, you are located on a mountainside and just down some steps is the beach, it is excellent.

The rooms also need updating. The bathrooms are tiny and outdated. It needs some modernization because in the room i was staying in there was no hot water when I showered.

Overall the hotel was okay; food, service and rooms need to be improved.

Unwelcomed visitors, frustration. We come early as 6am as walk in and we have a daughter. We understand that the check inn time is 2pm.we did visit to their site and they said you can come as walk in.after that their is no available so the guard suggest that while we are waiting we can try their island hopping so we did we pay a thousand just for three of us. After 10am we did breakfast at their dining and serve only for breakfast nothing else (small serving)@11am we did try to check if there is a vacant and they said that there is still no available room and we have to wait at 2pm..we are tired and exhausted for the trip and my daughter was roaming around at the pool and tell the other parents that that she has a mild (asd)so that they could understand the situation..at 11:30 am we decided to transfer to the other beach resort.. but the other thing additional charges the entrance and the pool 200 + 182 discounted kiddie (pool) . We ask the hsk if their is available room she said they have already available poolside room. So what are their trying to say? 👎 not recommended.

The place was good. Pool was nice. An access to the beach is available but not for people who has asthma or hate stairs, as you need to use stairs to go to the beach. The only thing that we dont like is that we have to pay an additional 200 pesos for an early check in (Im not sure if thats normal to all resorts but this is the only resort that we have been and we need to pay extra for early check-in), I was not able to buy a souveneer from the store because it was close. (Sad) Breakfast was serve on a first come first serve basis, so if you will wake up late, you will be serve the last and it will not be delivered to your room, its serve at the cafe with the awesome view of the beach. The room was so cozy and nice 😍 the bathroom has hot and cold showers and faucet. You will find extra pillows inside the closet. Our room was beach view, so will definitely hear the wind and the water which is very calming. You can swim at the pool until 10 in the evening. The reception stuff are nice. Oh they also have island tour but when were there, it was not available due to the weather. (Sad) but it was very affordable, if I remember it right, it was only for 1,500 for the Island Tour. The overnight stay cost us 1,800+.

I am pretty sure that you will enjoy your stay at this resort.

Great friendly staff, great views, nice clean facility BUT...and this is a huge BUT...the owner needs to get a clue about how to interact with people, especially how to treat his staff. You're just some guy in need of an attitude adjustment Lou, not the king of Sipalay. Learn how to treat others like humans and stop lurking. Besides being a conceited jerk, the owner is constantly visible, seeming to have no problem eavesdropping on private conversations or even just stopping and staring at guests for no good reason. It's really a shame because the staff - especially "Vick" - are very nice. I support supporting local economies but apparently Lou doesn't and even goes as far as to brag about how he imports everything. I'm ashamed that he is from the US. Visit NBR to enjoy great views of an awesome setting and support the staff and local economy but keep your fingers crossed that someone else owns the resort...someone who understands how to run a business without making paying customers and his staff uncomfortable.

We have been to Nataasan in 2009 and enjoyed our stay there very much. It has a beautiful and panoramic view of the ocean. Cottages are nice and clean! Very tropical.
Recently, however, we called them up to reserve a cottage and was rudely told by a certain Charlie, after the lines got cut off, that he did not text back to confirm our reservation because anyway they have plenty of bookings. Despite that, we still confirmed our reservation.
Upon arrival at Nataasan, we brought the matter up to the manager and, instead of fixing the problem, she covered up for her staff and was rude as well. There were no guests at the resort at all and we arrived around 4p.m. in Nataasan. What full booking were they talking about? There were no guests there. We were so disgusted by how we were treated so we looked around for other places in Punta Ballo and ended up in Artistic Diving which was a very good choice. Rooms are simple, clean and with hot water. Service was excellent at Artistic Diving and food was reasonably priced!

I've been there a couple of times with friends and what I observed, on both trip, was the rudeness of the staff named Charlie, who is acting as the resort manager, and most of the staff there are not very friendly. I also observed that the front desk staffs are rudely talking about some of their customers who are dining at their restaurants. I suggest that you stay in other resorts there. Artistic Diving Resort is better.

The moment you step into this resort you are treated like a criminal by front gate security who won't even let you step into the front desk lobbybif you do not have a booking. This is the most inhospitable hotel I've been to. Never coming back.

Are pets allowed?(dogs)
Answer from R e
3 contributions5 helpful votes
Pets are allowed. The area is vast and the view is nice. White sand, big pool area, Wifi range is good and fast. It's the people who are in charge that are lazy. I think they only get busy in summers so no one really bothers entertaining people when only 1 or 2 people requests to clean the pool or have them ready any amenities that a visitor may require immediately. I feel bad for the owner for not knowing that he hired a bunch of lazy workers.
