We stayed only one night as we were on biking trip. Definitely worth staying much longer. Also, bike friendly place. (It was raining, and we were offered to move bikes inside, in garage) Unfortunately, we used a pool briefly, due to weather, but a view was priceless. The breakfast was served in the main building, again with amazing view to the back yard and beyond. We felt truly welcomed by our host, who provided some useful bike paths advice

Domaine Lamartine is your dream French country B&B. Historic building, Period rooms. Lovely views over the countryside. An inviting pool. Friendly local (English-speaking) owners. Peaceful nights. Homemade jams at breakfast. Tons of things to do and see in the region. It has it all. We passed through on the way south, but next time we'll stay longer and use it as a base. (we were there just after Covid confinement ended, and I can assure you the owners take all the necessary precautions.)

We celebrated our Wedding day with family and friends here at La Martine. It was truly magical, with fairy lights and candles in the fields at night, children running about and the perfect weatherman this a day to remember for us and those who enjoyed the days with us. Michel and Isabelle are very forthcoming, efficient and loving people that take great care. The venue is magnificent!

We spent three nights at this historic place and would definitely like to come back one day. About three kms from town, 150m from the main road, you enter a small castle forecourt and a delightful place to stay. Friendly owners, splendid garden with a fine pool, great lawn and orchard, historically correct fitted room ('la Tante' has views towards Mont Ventoux)) accessed via a spiral staircase in a turret… an experience we enjoyed thoroughly. Stay away if you cannot put up with characteristics of a 300 year old building or insist on a flatscreen tv in your room. Wi-Fi is provided free of charge. Breakfast à la française was served in a chique dining room or - weather permitting - on the terrace. The table-d'hôte was not available during our stay, but we were directed to a good value "ginguette" nearby. The host also gave us interesting tips for a scenic cycle ride to beautiful "Valbonne" and other places in the 'Gorges de l' Ardêche' area.

Fantastic place, nice room and bathroom. The people are really variedly and the outdoor pool is laying near the fruit trees and has a really nice size. All ingredient from the diner were from their own gardens. Dinner in the courtyard was great, so was the breakfast.

We stayed here for two days while traveling to a friend's wedding in the South of France. When we first drove to the outside gate, I was speechless - such a beautiful and unusual place! Luckily for us, it was an offseason, so we got the whole place pretty much to ourselves. The owner showed us the property, talked about her family who kept the domaine for the last 200 years, and its history. In the morning we had plenty of time to explore the estate, peacefully surrounded by meadows and hills, and walked around for hours, mesmerized by its beauty in the fall. We left very pleased. For 8 more days we drove around Provence staying in different places, but the Domaine De Lamartine was by far the most memorable one. Soon enough I discovered that I forgot my dress there. Our host not only took her time to mail it to us, but also refused any money we offered for shipping. We will be forever grateful and hope to be able to pay her back by traveling to the Domaine next year.

Stayed for one night only and was very happy with our accommodation . The home was a beautiful old building filled with beautiful old furniture. . The rooms were situated on the second floor in an old tower... The spiral staircase leading up was special. Michel , the owner was gracious and extremely helpful. We had dinner in the dining room and was given a wonderful home cooked meal . I would highly recommend this place to everyone

This visit was one of the highlights of our trip. It's a beautiful property several hundred years old. The owners, Isabella and Michel, were wonderful hosts. Their country estate is lovely with grounds covering fields and vineyards. I have to say being an animal lover, I fell in love with their dog, Gloria, and their cat whose name I never did get. The breakfast was ample with breads, croissants, and home made preserves from Isabella. And for those "coffee" addicts, it was real Americano coffee. We reserved two dinners (20 euros and what a bargain!) and for the first dinner, we were the only guests so I think we were absolutely spoiled with a special dinner. Isabella, in my opinion, is a gourmet chef. There was nothing I did not like and her presentation of the food was lovely and comforting. Isabella does not speak English well, but her husband, Michel (pronounced Michelle for Americans) did very well, so my husband was very comfortable speaking with him. My husband spoke French moderately and was able to carry on a basic conversation. On the last night we were there, Isabella again outdid herself with a fabulous basic meal: a lovely sorbet to start, local mixed vegetables that were so delicious, chicken, and a to die for cherry tart for dessert. She is just a fabulous chef. Local red wine was served with dinner and our hosts were generous with servings. This for all of 20 Euros! Eating out is expensive in France so I cannot express enough how reasonable this price was. Our last dinner was with 7 French people who did not speak English so what a great experience. Thank goodness my husband spoke a little but he was not able to keep up with them for regular conversations. They were lovely, speakin slowly so John could catch some of the conversation, and excited to hear what we thought. This was a great experience with native people, which was we hoped for during our visit. We spent 12 days in France and I can tell you that these were the best, and most economical, meals, lodging and authentic experiences we had. There is a large pool to enjoy but the weather was a little too chilly for us to partake, although I was tempted. We did rent a car for this part of our trip and I would recommend doing that if you can. There is so much to see in this area and having experienced what we did, I can say that this area appeals to me more than Paris, which I loved, but was a very different experience. I would definitely recommend Domaine De Lamartine to everyone if you are open to a local experience. The rooms are basic - no hair dryers ladies - but if you want an experience outside of the "hotel" experience, this is for you. I would definitely go back, quirks and all (in Europe the third floor is equivalent to USA second floor so the first floor for us is the second floor for Europe. We were on the "third" floor, spiral staircase, so lugging our suitcases up was an aerobic exercise but just going up the hundreds year old spiral staircase was a perk for me.) Isabella and Michel gave us a wonderful, friendly, inviting experience that I don't think we have had anywhere else. I hope you consider them. Certainly e-mail me if any questions.

This was the highlight of our 12-day trip to France. Isabelle and Michel are excellent hosts. The optional dinners were well prepared, as were the included breakfasts. The rooms are good-sized and comfortable but you should be able to climb stairs to reach them. The grounds are impressive, and it’s a great base for day trips to the surrounding area. As a B&B, we also enjoyed the chance to interact with others for a dinner and breakfast. English is understood and spoken. If you can, speaking a little French will add even more to this enjoyable experience.
