Great little hotel. All rooms recently renovated. Simple but spotless and comfortable. Friendly owners and staff. Grill is very good- simple but well done. Had the best lamb cutlets I have had in ages - food is cooked on an open wood grill. Breakfast also good - even had Poire if you wanted it!

Very friendly place. Pleasant reception and a clean, comfortable and beautiful room overlooking a large and well maintained garden. The breakfast room had many interesting features and the meal itself was good.

Total surprise! The Grill is the standard restaurant but for those in the know (locals) this place has a split personality. Ok (the Grill) and excellent (the upmarket part). I am not even sure it has a name but presumably it does. Located in a seperate room just off the Grill, with white table clothes and really good food, cooked... More

For an enjoyable uncomplicated and budget-friendly meal with friendly and efficient service, with good wine to boot, this scores quite highly. The decor is fairly basic and ithe experience was slightly blemished at the end by our waitress clearing up rather than dealing with payment of our bill (I took it to the desk), but we had a good meal... Very friendly place. Owners appear to be putting a lot of effort into renovating rooms. Beds were comfortable and there was a lovely modern bathroom. Only problem was that room had heated up too much during the day and opening the window to cool down was not so effective. Appears to be popular with cyclists (us) and there was a... More

We were cycling, 5 of us, and the overall impression of the hotel was very good. It is a short walk from the old town albeit up a hill so if you struggle to walk far it may be worth noting. They had a great looking restaurant which looked very popular. We chose not to eat here but would have... More

We booked this hotel for a single night due to its location. On arrival we were somewhat taken back it was so good. The rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel restaurant with a set meal at 15.50 was fantastic value for really good quality food. Steak was a... More

We stayed just for one night on passing through. This is an old property and full of Rustic charm. The hotel was very clean. The bedroom was spotless, with crisp white sheets. Our evening meal was well presented and tasty. Staff we're attentive to our needs. Typical continental breakfast preceded our departure. DOMFRONT it's self was nice to stretch our... More

the rooms, although clean, are a bit worn-out and some refurbishment would improve overall performance, yet the rest, i.e. the staff and the food, are absolutely perfect and there is seriously no field or place for any improvements to be made.

Lovely quirky hotel, bedrooms and bathrooms could do with some updating , but the staff are fabulous , the grill restaurant is highly recommended , we had a lovely dinner and the waiter who also insisted on carrying all our panniers to our room was lovely , lovely gardens to sit in and enjoy a pre dinner drink, being a...
