First time I've been to Blunsdon House Hotel and the first time for a 'spa day' here.
I was given a voucher as a Xmas gift from my husband, and it was very well spent!
From start to finish it was brilliant, very well organised, all the staff so friendly & welcoming. I had 2 hours in the pool/spa/sauna/steam room, then had 2 treatments in Secrets, with absolutely wonderful service from Evie doing my treatments, and Barbara, the manager - who was just lovely, made my day stress free explaining everything i needed to know, & the reason I enjoyed it so much.
I then had afternoon tea in Carrie's bar, which was also perfectly organised, I had a reserved table ready for me & it was very quick & efficient. It really was faultless - the whole experience was. The beautiful views of our Wiltshire countryside as well, just added to my relaxation. (You can see this from various locations around the hotel)
Thank you to Secrets Beauty for their wonderful service. It was an amazing experience & I will certainly recommend & be returning soon!! Xx

We arrived as part of a small coach party and we were impressed by the entrance to the hotel grounds. We were informed that the the main hotel was closed but we were allocated rooms in the Pavilion and greeted by the manager who explained all the Co-Vid regulations. The staff all wore face shields and were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was well furnished and very well equipped including Tea and Coffee making facilities plus Biscuits. There was a trouser press, iron, hair dryer and TV. The bed was a great size and extremely comfortable, the only poor point was the decoration that was showing its age with edges of wallpaper lifting. The room was very clean and included having a small balcony which had a table and two chairs and a lovely view. We accepted the fact that things would not be perfect at this time but to pick faults would have been wrong, so we would stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were a party of nine including 3 children aged 12 9 and 8 years. Blunsdon House is a perfecthotel for such a family gathering as there is plenty of slpace to gather together in a group and there are activities to keep the children amused including a swimming pool with video games and television in a separate area. There is an outside play area as well. Meals can be taken in the bar or if you want to dine more formally in the main dining room. Perhaps what really makes Blunsdon House our preferred hotel are the staff who are marvellous and do everything they can to make your stay as pleasant anf comfortable as possible. We visit regularly at least twice a year and have never had a bad experience.

Jane booked the event one year prior to the date and kept in touch with helpful suggestions during the year. The afternoon was well planned and efficient. I forgot about people needing to hang up coats but this was remedied very quickly by staff who had been specifically delegated to help on the day who brought a coat rack into the Garden room. I also forgot that the 70 or so guests would be bringing presents( we came over from New Zealand and wouldn’t be able to bring much back in our luggage) and the staff member brought a trolley for that purpose. This was really useful as it could then be wheeled to our room afterwards. In retrospect I wouldn’t have ordered a separate menu for the children as the buffet was more than adequate for all. Thank you to all involved especially Jane.

After a very disappointing family get together, in a private room, for my Dad's 90th birthday, we were wary about revisiting the Blunsdon House. However this was a completely different experience, the carvery restaurant was warm, the staff were welcoming and attentive, the food was hot, tasty and plentiful.
After his birthday my Dad had said he would never return to the Blunsdon, after today there's a very high chance he will, but only in the Carvery.

The hotel staff were helpful and friendly but professional. Everything was well presented and the food was excellent too, especially the breakfast ! The room was plenty big enough and clean. The TV a good size. The bathroom was great because there was plenty of space to put toiletries etc and we love to have a bath as well as a shower. We have been back to this hotel several times and hopefully will continue for many years to come.

Standard rooms are just about average, premier inn are better, and the corridor had a funky smell about it. The breakfast is average too, buffet style very limited if you are vegan ok if you eat egg. Was told that I was not entitled to a room upgrade with my loyalty level for BW rewards due to availability but the hotel was not busy and rooms available online. When a said there were rooms available on line they said it is not offered as standard as they are a premier hotel, and there is a charge too. The charge that was quoted was more than an upgrade that I was offer at a BW premier plus for a junior suite! Even though the receiptionist said what the charge was they were still not offering an upgrade to me. Shame as the hotel in the public areas is very nice. Didn't use the pool or gym so can't comment on those.

Dar V9426TApaula, Thank you for writing a review. Much of it is based on the misconception that we are a Best Western Premier Hotel. We are not, nor do we advertise as such. Please allow us to explain. Best Western is a worldwide consortia of independently owned hotels, which is divided into multiple sub brands. These include Best Western Premier, Best Western Plus and Best Western Core. These hotels are quite strictly controlled and operated mandated scheme like the loyalty programme and upgrade scheme you mention. Two much looser Best Western affiliations also exist - Best Western Premier Collection (4*) and Best Western Sure hotel collection (3*). Under these schemes each hotel is free to set its own operating standards according to it's local market positioning. These standards often vastly exceed those mandated by Best Western, but on occasion may also offer less. All of these brands are named and promoted by Best Western International in the U.S. We appreciate this may be confusing but is something over which we have no control whatsoever. We do actively free upgrade returning customers and as apriority, also those that book direct us. We are able to do this from saved agent commission and marketing costs. Please accept our apologies for any confusion and if the next time you are passing, you book direct, we will ensure you have a fantastic stay to remember - complete with complimentary upgrade. Kind regards, BHH

Everything you would expect from a hotel in this price range plus a bit extra - room was clean and neat with a little balcony, the curtains were very effective at blocking light to sleep, bathroom included a stand-alone shower (which is always nicer than standing in the bath), food was excellent (we had an evening meal and breakfast), and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Note that there are electric vehicle charging stations in the car park for guests with EV’s.
Very likely to stay here again.

The staff at this immaculate hotel were all super friendly from the hard working cleaners who kept the rooms spotless to the non stop working bar/restaurant staff, not forgetting the ever so helpful receptionists.
A special mention to the lovely Grace for giving us some great tips on where to visit.
The spa is also perfect!! Many thanks for having us. We will be back!!

Excellent 3 day stay with my mum, we were allocated Room 370 in the Pavillion, executive room with twin beds and a balcony.
It was very clean, in fact spotless my only critism would be a lack of tea bags , maybe some variety of different teas would be great and long life milk, you supply a fridge so why not proper milk ?
I assume due to covid we had no spare pillows and no bath robes.
But definitely not a compliant.
Pool was great, the jacuzzi was very hot , I did speak to the manager who said it was above average temperature and went to adjust it immediately.
All in all we would definitely return soon

Looks like it's been due for refurbishment for some time - I was there a year ago and the jacuzzi was still roped off and a window pane still boarded up!
