Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow! What a place. We have just arrived back from a 3 night stay in the Blacksmiths VIP lodge for 4 people. The lodge was stunning and it was spotless. It was very well equipped and the hot tub was amazing. We ate in the restaurant on site and the food and staff were lovely. We had complimentary spa access in our booking and would recommend. It isn’t the biggest spa in the world but it is certainly beautiful and clean. We can’t wait to come back.

Visited with old school friends for a weekend of relaxation. This resort has been well thought out with attention to detail. We had a lodge with a hot tub which was well equipped with modern features including an outdoor kitchen. The Fatboy cushions were great for relaxing. We used the spa twice which was bliss. Can’t comment on treatments as we didn’t have any. We had a meal in the dome one evening and a Sunday lunch - both excellent. Thanks to ‘Chef’ for helping the picky eater amongst us!! The 2 for 1 cocktails were lovely and there was an extensive gin and wine menu. We felt welcomed by the staff and nothing was too much trouble. We will return…..thank you ❤️

What an amazing time we had, from the moment we walked in and were greeted to the fabulous treatment and then the amazing facilities. My two daughters and I enjoyed every minute of this experience. The restaurant was also top class, with the super staff that served us, so welcoming and friendly. I couldn’t rate this Spa experience enough. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our day so special. it was just what was needed. ❤️

Had an amazing stay. We stayed in a lodge for 3 nights which was fully equipped and decorated to a really high standard. We had an outdoor area with a bbq and tables/chairs which was great. We used the spa twice which was such a fab experience. Was plenty of places to relax and enjoy. We ate at the Dome which is great value for money along with tasty food made with local produce. Can highly recommend coffee and cake, Sunday lunch and the evening menu. I would highly recommend for a spa day or mini break.

It wasn't crowded and the staff are friendly and attentive. It's well run, and I loved the little touches like having the right size of flip flops ready in my named locker. Magic. My only criticism would be having to carry a payment card with you in the spa, to pay for drinks etc. It would've been better to have a check out tab system. But it didn't spoil the spa day. Thank you.

Just go. It was a lovely relaxing space. One of my faves. Booked again for august 👍 staff were on point and very friendly and helpful. Cold water swim lake was energising. Had lunch. Food good. The concept of the lodge purchase scheme is innovative and extremely interesting.

Amazing place with amazing staff! Would definitely recommend going here! Had the best time - the myrrh and Tonka sauna room was amazing and smelt beautiful. The outdoor pool was also lovely - very aesthetic. We all had the best time and we will be going back!

Such a beautiful place. The cold water is invigorating and the outdoor setting is refreshing and revitalizing with stunning planting. A welcome change from traditional spas. A fabulous day out. Will definitely be visiting again soon. Lisa, Harrogate Garden Design
