We enjoyed our stay at this place more than we would have ever expected. It was mainly due to the owner, Nicos, who is a kind, charismatic and skillful man with a big heart. The accommodation is set in large grounds where everyone can find their privacy and own cosy, tidy and clean room. The curtains can create complete darkness during the night and it's possible to use the AC on a hot summer day. We have always had a great night's sleep here. In the lunge area, where you can have a drink or find anything you need, we met some hotel guests who have been coming back for years. This is definetely a sign that the hotel is worthy of a return visit.

Nikos, the owner, was extremely accommodating from start to finish. Our flight was delayed meaning we arrived at the hotel at 2:30am yet Nikos stayed up to ensure we arrived safe and sound. He helped us hire a car, gave us advice on where to go and what to do as well as restaurants/bars he liked. Very clean and neat. Room had everything we needed and even a balcony (surrounded by orange trees). Very big pool with decent view of the hills. 10 minute drive to the nearest town Lixouri which has shops, restaurants, bars, and a ferry service to Argostoli, another town with similar amenities. We will be back purely to see Nikos again! P.S. if you want one of the best meals of your life, please eat at "the corner" restaurant in Lixouri, we ate there multiple times and were consistently impressed.…

What a great Hotel with Nikos as your host who couldn't do enough to make your stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is basic but the rooms have all the facilities that you require including air conditioning in the bedrooms. We were not supposed to be staying at the hotel but so glad we did. If you are on the island pay Nikos a visit and I am sure he will look after you .

Our daughter participated in the turtle project in 2021. She needed some extra days before and after between flights and project. We found this hotel via Booking. She was over the moon when she came back. Faith in hospitality restored! She insisted we would go back and experience it ourselves. This year we spend 2-weeks summer holiday with Nikos and family and what a fantastic host! Nikos and team, thank you so much for the great stay. We had a fantastic time and if there is anything Nikos can do for you, he will. (Big) Beer o'clock, frappe o'clock, cocktail o'clock, let's make time for that. He arranged a rental car for us last-minute and he has a great network of contacts. It has been a great pleasure to stay a Terra Mare and we look forward to coming again in the future.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Brilliant value and great location. The photos don’t do it justice. It has a huge swimming pool, which isn't crowded. A family run hotel with ncredibly friendly owners and staff. Great location for exploring the island. Food was unbelievable!!!! New tastes and soooo yummy!!! As for smoothie with fresh fruit from his garden.....no words. Fresh veggies from garden & fresh eggs from his chickens!!!! Last but not least Nikos...an incredible host. Was so attentive to see if we needed anything else or if all was OK. I have a back issue, he would appear out of nowhere to put a pillow behing my back!! How sweet is that??? Definitely a must if you are in Lixouri, the hotel, food, accomodation, service 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but at afffordable price. Will definitely be back. Read more…

What a fantastic holiday we had. Everything we needed was there. Beautiful pool, which we had to ourselves a lot of the time. Room was clean and well maintained. View from room and pool was amazing! Food was delicious and price was very reasonable. Nikos could not do enough for you, the most kind and generous host you could get. His family were terrific too. I visited out of school holidays. It is so peaceful. I was traveling on my own ( I am a woman) and I felt safe, welcome and relaxed. Nikos is amazing and makes sure you are looked after. It is basic and clean accommodation. The beds are firm,the meals are cheap, but the range is not extensive. If you want to chat to others you can, or if you want to be on your own you can. The pool was gorgeous and mostly deserted during the day. The shoreline is a few minutes walk away, protected and very beautiful. Lixouri is 7 euros in a taxi, and has lovely restaurants on the harbour. I was very sad to leave - Nikos, I will be back ☺️

Terra Mare is more than a hotel, it is a place where everyone is very well received and happiness reigns. Nikos makes all the difference. He is attentive, likes to please the guests, always smiling and in a good mood. I traveled alone and he always asked me if I was ok, if I needed something, where would I go, giving me tips and suggestions. Comfortable rooms, clean and the air conditioning working very well. The pool is a great place to relax and spend time lounging. Terra Mare's food is also very tasty and the cocktails are delicious. I met wonderful people on the days I stayed. I will return for sure and take my family with me.
