We stayed here for five nights while we explored Sparta, Mani, and the Mystras Castle. The town is small and quiet, which makes for a great walk around and sleep. The hotel itself had nice service, a nice breakfast with homemade fried dough, scrambled eggs, and oranges and juicers along with the regular Greek breakfast assortments. The wifi worked well... not really 3 star, more 2 star as the hotel needs urgent renovation but our room was reasonably clean and basic, with a little balcony and amazing views towards sparta. The mattresses were old and need replacing but the staff was friendly, there was a little pool (though it needed cleaning, as some dead insects were floating around). The breakfast... More

The hotel is in a perfect location to stay a night for a visit of the ancient town. I loved the hotel's well maintained retro look with a dash of modern. There is a nice breakfast buffet with a good selection and freshly squeezed orange juice. The wifi worked fine (computers available downstairs as well), our room was a good... More

The location of this hotel was its main advantage. We had great views of the old city up on the hillside and we were steps away from the amenities of the town. The hotel felt a bit old-fashioned and the decor/furnishings could do with some refurbishment. Shower cubicle fine if you are tiny and can prevent the curtain from flying... More

The hotel is a bit old-fashioned but the room was clean and big, the mattress very comfy and the balcony perfect for a bit of fresh air at night. The breakfast was ok. Home made but not much variety. Personally, I found a bit confusing the way to prepare coffee, tea, toasts and orange juice, but you can always ask... More

Stayed here on first part of family visit to Peloponnese and it's perfect for visiting the ruins. Ideal with family as it has a lovely pool and garden area. The children loved the breakfast and the cake supply that seems to be endless! Really friendly staff, would recommend to anyone.

We stayed two nights so that we could spend a day looking round Mystras as part of a holiday in the Peloponnese. The location was great, right by the small square and restaurants. The hotel had private parking and free wifi and a reasonable breakfast buffet.

This hotel is the perfect place to put your feet up after a day of visiting the ruins of Mystras. Located just off the little square in the town the hotel is large, with very clean and comfortable rooms and a staff that is helpful and friendly. I found the breakfast to be a typical breakfast of hotels in Greece—typical... More

While touring the Peloponnese and wanting to visit the old Byzantine town of Mystras we chose the Byzantium Hotel at the current village of Mystras because of its central location, good TripAdvisor reviews and reasonable price. We were not disappointed. This is an early 1970s Hotel that has had some updating, rooms are comfortable and clean, our room had a... More
