After arriving in Pisa to find no luggage we phoned Frederico who ran out and kindly bought us essentials for our arrival. Frederico and his beautiful dog were waiting for us on arrival to help us settle in. we can't say how thankful we were for his help. We LOVED this villa. It had everything we could wish for and...

Villa La Ginestra and it owner Frederico is the living proof of Italian authenticity. Situated not far from a couple of smaller city centers but at driving distance from Arezzo (15'), Assisi (1h15), Purugia (1h), Firenze (1h), Sienna (1h), Cortona, Montepulciano ... and a whole lot of smaller places that are 1-2 stars in the Green Michelin guide (still our...

We found this beautiful place on internet. When we arrived Federico gave us a warm welcome and showed us some beautiful rooms. Also his dog Gaitano (?) was a great personality. We relaxed on the sun beds around the pool and went to Arezzo, which is nearby. Federico recommended a small restaurant around the corner, because we didn't want to...

We visited this lovely Italian guest house in December. Contrary to many italian BNBs, this one was warm, with good heating and we ever could enjoy a cup of tea in front of the fireplace. Our room was spacious, with convenient bathroom and quiet. The host helped us a lot in finding places and advices about local restaurants. Nothing special...

This B&B was one of the best places we stayed on our trip - lovely décor, great breakfast, brilliant host/owner (Federico) and our girls loved the swimming pool. Really was value for money as well - we stayed in a perfect adjoining room (2 adults, 2 young kids) and it was under €100 for the night. We walked to a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in the early nineteenth century on an ancient Roman (and later Lombard) settlement, Villa La Ginestra is a charming stone cottage surrounded by a large park at the foot of a gentle wooded hill: an ideal environment for short and refreshing walks. The large garden with trees is the perfect relax and fun haven including the lovely swimming pool with jacuzzi . We have 3 double rooms each one with its own private bathroom and the possibility of adding a baby cot or a 3rd bed, and 2 double / twin rooms with shared bathrooms. The rooms are furnished in an elegant, functional style and are very bright and sunny. On request the owner will be happy to arrange lunches, dinners, barbecues or tasting sessions of the best food and wine specialties of the area, as well as short trips and suggestions on the many cultural and historical attractions nearby. The small village with bars, restaurants , a pharmacy, a train and bus station is just a few hundred meters from the property. Arezzo is 8km far , Anghiari 20km, the National Park of Casentino Forests 20 km away, Cortona 50km and then again Siena, Citta di Castello and the thermal baths of Bagno di Romagna are just 40 minutes far by car. All these surroundings make this B & B the ideal starting point for many trips and days full of emotions. It is possible to stay at Villa La Ginestra just one night or for longer periods in a bed and breakfast accommodation. ... more   less
