We stopped for a wine tasting and decided to stay four lunch. Very good wine and excellent antipasto. The servers were very good. They were friendly and efficient. The grounds are very well maintained.

Nothing good to write about this place - AVOID IT! Our room was above the restaurant where karaoke was playing until 2am and very noisy we couldn't sleep. Wifi didn't work. The kitchen was ill-equipped, no pans, no trays in oven, no corkscrew for wine. One day a private function took over the whole site including the pool and we... More

San gallo has it's charm and well decorated appartments. A large communal terrace and playground make it perfect for small children. And with Florence, Lucca, Pisa, the beach within reasonable driving distance it's a good location. Also the owners were very friendly but unfortunately completely occupied with their restaurant and other non agriculttural activities. Therefore the location could better be... More

San Gallo was wonderful! It is very near Montecarlo - a gem of a ancient walled town that has not been commercialized. Also near train station - so access to Lucca, Florence, Cinque Terre is easy. We harvested olives with the crew - a great experience - only eclipsed by the idyllic 2-hour, many course meal at a long table... More

A group of friends and I spent a delightful week at San Gallo in October. We were able to participate in the olive harvest there...a highlight of the trip! The owners of San Gallo are wonderful and are very accommodating. The town of Montecarlo is charming and is a short drive from San Gallo. I would highly recommend San Gallo... More

Excellent place where to spend time, next to the fire in the house or in a natural spring (Grotta Giusti is simply amazing - access to stalattites and stalagmites in which the natural vapours made me feel so good). A lot of wine factories (Bodegas) in which I tasted excellent wine (Buonamico factory above all), and the olive oil of... More

The apartment was clean, but the sittingroom/kitchen rather small. Some days there was a sewage smell outside the building. Kitchen well equipped. Pool and gardens are nice. Friendly staff.

San Gallo is a very pretty old restored farmhouse, in a picturesque setting surrounded by vines, olive & fig trees, with the layout very well thought out. We stayed in the Ortensia Rosa which was lovely and restored to a high standard, large bedroom with a great view. The place was absolutely spotless. Some useful appliances not always seen in...
