My husband and I started our trip in Florence and then we met a group of friends at the Fattoria Corzano e Paterno farm. The farm is a short drive from Florence ( about 40 min.). We stayed in one of the well cared for, beautifully rustic guest houses named Corzanello. The villa was very comfortable and included everything we...

We drove from Florence and were a little worried that Google navigator would not locate this place up in the hills and through all the gravel roads. We were so happy that it took us right to the front door! It was very exciting as they had just done the harvest of the grapes and we got to watch the...

just back from our annual trip here. The cheese made here has been featured on Anhtony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Jaime Oliver, and Rocco de Spirito TV shows. It is served in the best restaurants in Florence. My favorite is Buccia de Rospo (toad's skin) which is hard on the outside and soft on the inside. All guests get a free...

My 4 cousins and group of close friends stayed at the Fattoria corzano e paterno villa after staying in Florence for 4 days. The villa was only a 40 minute drive from Florence. September turned out to be the perfect time of year to go and enjoy seeing the harvesting of the grapes and see the Chianti countryside. We stayed...

My wife and several friends just returned from the vacation of a lifetime at Corzano e Paterno (20 km west of Florence). The accommodations (hundreds of years old but with 21st century amenities) were excellent, but more importantly, the friendship of the hospitable staff, the beauty of the vineyards, the serenity and tranquility of the mornings and evenings, the proximity...

We stayed at Fallochio, one of the houses on the huge estate. As we were only a couple we weren't looking for a huge place with cooking facilites, barbecues etc, but all that was there anyway. Our apartment consisted of two large rooms, with a kitchen corner (electric range, fridge, toaster etc) and a huge bathroom. There is large beautiful...

Our family (9 including grandparents) just returned from a trip of a lifetime, staying at Corzano e Paterno in Tuscany for the first week and traveling on to Rome and the Amalfi Coast for the second week. We started our trip at Corzano e Paterno, an amazing family owned and operated agriturismo that produces wine, cheese, and olive oil with...

The experience was more than I had hoped for. We stayed at the Villa Erta. The villa was clean, spacious, and homey. A view from every window. While the layout was conducive to group interaction, there was plenty of privacy. The pool was clean and has an amazing view. Located close by are restaurants and a great deli/grocer in San...

Something for everyone - wine, olive oil, and the cheese was simply divine! They offer a hands-on experience for the kids if you want them to experience milking the sheep. Eye-opening tour of the property included a visit to the wine and cheese production. The staff prepared a welcome dinner for us the first night that was delicious and fulfilling....

Nine family members stayed comfortably for a week in Corzanello and hosted a wedding dinner on July 23, 2016 with 35 guests at the farmhouse. Katiuscia Passeri was the contact person and she was extremely helpful. There are so many wonderful things about the farmhouse--especially the view and the cleanliness. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Fattoria Corzano e Paterno unites neighbouring properties acquired from the historic Florentine families, the Machiavelli and Niccolini. Three distinct sectors complement each other: wine and oil, stables for sheep for artisan cheese production and agriturismo. The AGRITURISMO is comprised of four large houses positioned in pristine locations amid cypresses, olive groves and vineyards, views that have escaped the passage of time. Their restoration has maintained, with the exception of modern kitchens and baths, the original structures of beamed ceilings, open sit-in fireplaces and large, airy rooms. Situated in this classic Tuscan landscape, near fields of our grazing sheep, the houses overlook the verdant valley that lies between the two distinctive hills of the farm. CORZANELLO: With views of our vineyards on all sides, this house was once home to an artist whose atelier in the tower has since been converted into a bedroom. It sleeps twelve, has a large, roomy kitchen with a walk-in fireplace, a comfortable sitting room, six bedrooms and three bathrooms. In the garden there is a pergola for dining with a panoramic view of the valley. Nearby is the original functioning bread oven. Within a walled terrace also overlooking the valley there is an octagonal dipping pool; the larger farm swimming pool just a short walk away. GINA is an apartment in the oldest section of Casa Corzano. It is spacious and high ceilinged, set over two floors. The history of this house can be read in its ancient stone staircase and vaulted ceiling. On the ground floor is the kitchen with fireplace and a large salon with dining area. On the first floor two double bedrooms, one twin, bathroom with shower and bath and washing machine. Outside there is a private garden and the farm's swimming pool is a few meters away. CASA ERTA faces south, and has an uninterrupted view down the valley. It has been restored without compromising the large, high ceilinged rooms and beamed ceilings. It sleeps twelve, has a large kitchen with fireplace, six bedrooms and four bathrooms. Outside there is a large garden with pergola and pizza oven. FALLOCCHIO is a spacious house divided into five large apartments with one or two bedrooms, kitchenette, living room, bathroom with bath and shower. In the restoration of the house, the beamed ceilings and large rooms have been preserved. On the ground floor there is a large and well-equipped kitchen with fireplace available for communal use. The house is surrounded by a garden with a covered patio and barbeque and views across the surrounding valleys. ERTA and FALLOCCHIO share a swimming pool with panoramic views. Given the high quality of the farm's wine, olive oil and cheeses, it specialises in enogastronomic tourism and often has visiting chefs who are available to prepare meals and give cooking courses on request for guests in their houses if requested. ... more   less
