We don't usually write reviews, but for Poggio Borgoni we want to make an exception. For us, Poggio Borgoni was the true Tuscan (holiday) experience we were looking for: a beautiful location with a great view and pool, where the scent of lavender and thyme makes you forget about the daily rat race and makes you wonder about a simpler life. The food is prepared with fresh, local products & accompanied with quality wine (which they make from their own harvest). Again, this all with a priceless view on Tuscan valley. The Staff is polite and helpful; when our Vespa broke down during the Chianti tour, they even went out of their way to pick us up. They deserve the full 5 star review & we recommend this place to everybody that wants to escape reality under the bright Italian sun. Keep doing what you're doing! Greets, Dageraad & Tom

We were here for the third time. A very special place. Small wonderful place with a familiar atmosphere. Very nice and service-oriented stuff. Great breakfast and dinner. The highlight is the hot-air balloons that are rising in the air in the morning at 6:30 close to the Relais which you can watch when getting up early.

We travelled to Tuscany for a friends wedding. But decided to have an extra few days near Florence. This place is incredible. Everyone was so friendly and the food and wine was some of the best we have ever had. That coupled with a visiting pooch Fosco made the stay perfect. See you again soon.

Stayed for 5 nights and it was delightful. We booked the junior suite, which consists of a livingroom + bathroom on the ground floor, and a large bedroom upstairs overlooking the garden. Staff are so warm, welcoming and are ready to offer assistance to make your stay more pleasurable. Every morning my cappuccino would arrive at the table before I even place an order. Mornings are so beautiful, sitting out on the terrace watching the mist rise over the valley. Nights are so peaceful. Dinner menu changes frequently and food is very commendable. - parking available on site - very good free wifi - mini fridge in room - air conditioning available in room - excellent water pressure in shower - friendly staff who genuinely care about their guests - staff speak English - 20 mins drive to Villa Costanza tram station, which takes you directly in to the heart of FLorence (ticket EUR 1.50)

Amazing place in the most beautiful sorroundings and with a lovely pool area. Many great restaurants in the area, but the restaurant here was so nice and had fantastic food. We needed a doctor and Consuela went out of her way to help and within hours a doctor came to the hotel. In general very very nice and helpfull staff My biggest recommendations and we will for sure come back.

25 km south of Florence, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, the very quiet "Relais Poggio Borgoni" awaited us with an outdoor pool and a traditional restaurant. The car can be left in the car park free of charge. After a 30-minute drive from the Relais, you can reach the famous wine cellars in Greve in Chianti and Barberino. Siena is 56 km away. We were received at the reception super friendly and competent with very good English skills. Although the restaurant was closed on our arrival day, Conseulo treated us to Tuscan specialities and choice local wine. Our double-storey room was equipped with terracotta floors, antique furniture, air conditioning, minibar, private bathroom with hairdryer and toiletries, as well as satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. At the great and very lovingly prepared breakfast, we were allowed to strengthen ourselves at the buffet with freshly baked cakes, fruit and cappuccino. The great quality of this very beautifully designed and maintained facility is the staff. We would like to thank Consuelo and Francesco, who helped us with words and deeds and thus contributed to a very successful holiday. Grazie mille, saremo felici di tornare!

We stayed for 4 nights at Poggio Borgoni and enjoyed it very much. The stuff was very friendly and the surrounding and our room very clean and well maintained. The only downer was the breakfast: For dinner they had an excellent type of bread, but the choice of bread and other things (for example jam, cheese, ...) for breakfast was not so exciting. That could be improved.

Dear Nadine, We thank you for sharing your experience at Relais Poggio Borgoni and we are happy that you had a pleasant stay. I am sorry for the breakfast that didn't live up to your expectations but unfortunately this year due to the regulations on covid-19 we have had to 'retrofit' certain products with commercial solutions with yourself stressed. I hope there will be new opportunities to have you back as our welcome guest, Yours sincerely Katia

Very relaxing place. Nice rooms (although maybe not spacious enough for us) Good bathrooms. One gripe. If you use the fridge for anything but storing their own drinks you will incur a 3 euro a day charge. So we did use the fridge but removed our drinks in the morning. This is so typical in Italy. Petty rules that make no sense. The Italians Plumb new depths when it comes to Red tape. It’s no wonder I heard Italy described as worse than Greece and Europe’s Achilles heel. Also the swimming cap rule is bonkers, haven’t come across this anywhere else on our trip. I will say the staff were all very nice and helpful, fine parking tips given on Florence. I’d give 5 stars but the Fridge usage is a joke. Castello Vicchiomaggio gives you a whole fridge.

Dear Thomas, Thank you for taking the time to review our Relais and for the compliments ... we are very happy that you spent 2 nights in a relaxing way. I would like to point out that the use of the swimming cap in the pool is due to the regulation given for the Covid19 situation, such as the use of the mask in closed places and the distance to keep in order not to create gatherings. As for the minibar and your considerations about Italy, they are a personal opinion that we do not agree. In case you haven't been there, I still suggest you visit Greece ... it's a beautiful island with a wonderful sea, full of history and culture. We wish you a good day, Regards Katia
