The house is a traditional Portuguese villa with a large courtyard and garden, as well as a terrace with a view of the ocean. Beyond the hills to the east, you can see the impressive Palácio Nacional de Mafra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Moka can host a maximum of 20 people and offers double rooms, twin rooms, private rooms, and shared rooms (four to six people). All bathrooms are shared, with the exception of one ensuite double room on first floor. Bed linen and towels are provided on your arrival. In the big dining room, you can find a personal pantry and a kitchenette to prepare your lunch.
Yoga lessons, workshops and massages take place in our 66m2 Mongolian yurt, which you are also free to use outside of these scheduled activities.
Our courtyard is the social hub of Moka – a great place to chat with other guests, dine outdoors and enjoy the open air cinema on warm evenings/make long-lasting memories! But if you are searching for some peace and quiet you’ll always find a nice spot in the garden, swinging in the hammocks among the fruit trees.

I really enjoyed my time at Moka. I did the yoga retreat of 6 days, so two times a day yoga. The lessons were great! There are several instructors, all of them very good and professional. So the lessons are very diverse and never boring. I loved the food, really excellent! The location is good, I specially like the nearby beach of São Julião . Also worth visiting is the Mafra Palace and the old part of Ericeira. I also did some nice walks on the cliffs. The accommodation is in good condition and clean. I took the cheapest option, in a shared 4 bed-room,which was okay, but a bit small. The stay in Moka is a very good option if you're alone, you can find good company if you want, but there's also enough space to be alone and relax.

I came back to London after 4 days really feeling energised and determined to do more yoga. The food is good and rooms are clean. Nice beach and bikes available. Staff really nice. A really good place to have a well deserved break.

Really relaxing location, top quality yoga and surf classes, great walks to the beach, delicious food and extremely friendly staff and guests. Everything was really clean and communication from the guesthouse was excellent! I felt relaxed immediately and it was the perfect place to unwind.

Moka is a magical place. It’s perfect to relax, let go, surf and meet new people! I had a wonderful time during my 7 day stay with the guets but also the volunteers. I’m hally to habe booked with moka. 5* for yoga, surf and the italian food. Thanks to the whole crew for an amazing time!

I had an amazing stay at the Moka and will certainly come back. People who run the house are lovely and accommodating. The yoga teachers and massage therapist were wonderful, dinners are tasty and prepared each day with care (everything is homemade, even the focaccia). They offer daily transfers to the main city and beach nearby. By walking, the beach is only 35min away and Ericeira 65min. The have several bikes too. My room was a dormitory and at night people keeps it quite around 11pm, which is great as we usually wake up for our activities in the mornings. I had a blissful stay - Grazie per tutto !

My 6 days at Moka were even better than I could have imagined! The staff is more than friendly - they are warm-hearted and caring. The breakfast and dinners included in the price are soooo delicious and they accomodate every diet and allergy, which was really a relief for me! The yoga teachers, especially Carla, are such generous souls, and even the massage was incredible. I spent an amazing time here, the perfect amount, to surf and do yoga and just feel relaxed - the days flowed easily and Moka tends to attract other people who are interesting, warm, and wise. One of my favorite parts was the interesting conversations we all had together - it gave me a lot to think about in my life. I will definitely be returning and I can't recommend it highly enough. <3 Grazie tutti!!

We visited Moka at the beginning of August for the 5 night surf package. We had a wonderful time, such a lovely villa, cosy and clean with delicious home cooked vegetarian food served for dinner. The team were very speedy to respond to any queries, and we had the flexibility to add on additional surf or yoga lessons where there was space. There are also additional activities available such a climbing, stand up paddleboarding, horse riding - the team helped organize an afternoon out in Sao Juliao with Ericeria boulders which was a great adventure. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming - great for both those travelling in a group or solo. Would definitely be back!

Moka is a very beautiful and peaceful hostel. I really loved relaxing in the hammock in the garden. The vegetarian food was amazing and unique, prepared by chef David. The skateboard ramp was fun to practice my surf technique. I took part in the surf guiding with Lois, which was a great experience. He always found the best waves depending on the conditions. The property including the rooms and bathrooms are kept very clean and the staff is friendly.
