Have been to this hotel quite a few times now as a couple, but this was our first as a family with Grandchildren and was our best visit yet. Great room on lower floor, clean and bright. There must be an awful lot of fussy eaters who go here, judging by the previous comments. We had a 2 year and 7 year old who had no problem demolishing every meal put in front of them, best meals of the week were at Sakura and the Dolce Vita, but there is more than enough choice and options at every meal time that everyone should be able to find something to eat.

No issues getting sunbeds most days, even in the afternoons, did find a few guests had disappeared for 5 or 6 hours having reserved beds and cleared off, so after around 4 hours, we just cleared their gear off to the side and took the beds, got some funny looks when they came back, but they knew what they were guilty of, same as the idiots who decided to get up at the crack of dawn to get the same sunbed everyday of their holiday, not necessary, just go with the flow, its Lanzarote, not Benidorm :-)

Staff smiling and pleasant, especially Paula and Abraham, some appeared a little overworked at busy periods, but generally everyone happy, reception staff especially helpful.

The grounds are kept immaculately clean, poolside cleaners are up very early, so everything looks fresh first thing in the morning.

Liked the addition of a water station in the Yaiza restaurant, you can fill up water bottles here and it dispenses sparkling water too.

Wi-Fi worked ok, you may struggle to stream, but its ok for the occasional email, but hey, you're supposed to be on holiday, so why have your face buried in your phone all the time, give it a rest and put it away, especially all those parents who feel they have to jam an iPad in front of their kids at meal times, just try engaging with them instead.

If you can, get the pro photographers to take some photos, especially if you have kids with you, the ones they took for us were stunning, dont miss the chance.

We were slightly apprehensive about going in August with children, as we normally avoid these times and go early in the season. The hotel was very busy, but we had nothing to worry about and in fact some of the other children there made the holiday, the animation team, worked very hard to ensure everyone was well entertained in the evenings.

Will definitely be back again, hopefully next year

We returned home on Monday 20 Jan 20 from a glorious week of cloudless skies in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote at the H10 Lanzarote Princess, We had gone there on recommendation of a friend. On arrival we were pleased with the location of the hotel which is ideally situated just a few minutes from all the local facilities. We had arrived around midday so were unable to check-in to our room until 3pm. We had booked a Twin Superior Room with Privileges. The receptionist gave us a Privilege pass to use the Privilege Lounge until our room was ready. At 3pm we collected our room key and went to our room. Upon entering the room we could see it was a standard double with the usual coffee machine, alarm clock, dressing gown, slippers and beach towels as one would expect. The twin superior rooms pictured on the hotel’s website was not this one! The hotels staff were excellent and couldn’t have been friendlier. We were able, through our ‘Privilege’ status, to use the al-a-carte restaurants every night and for breakfast each morning which we did on several occasions during the week. The Sakura Japanese Restaurant we went to twice as it was so good. There the atmosphere, staff and food were excellent and to watch our chef cook in front of us with theatre was great. Like most holiday makers we could complain about the odd thing or two reference the hotel but life is too short. We relaxed, ate well and perhaps drank too much but then we were on holiday!

We went for a week in mid-December and were not disappointed. The check-in was friendly and efficient. Whenever we made enquiries at the desk the staff were very helpful. The public spaces were beautifully decorated for Christmas. We were half board and the food was very good and plentiful. There was an egg chef at breakfast and a meat chef in the evening, plus so much choice with something to suit everyone even if you did not fancy that evening's theme such as Italian, Mexican etc. Although the restaurant was always busy the staff worked very hard and were efficient in clearing used dishes etc. The bedroom had a nice balcony overlooking the pool side of the hotel, was comfortable and of a reasonable size but was a little tired. The bathroom had a shower over the bath (never my favourite) and there were signs of mould on the ceiling. My only other criticism was that the modern furniture despite looking nice was impracticable as there were no drawers in the desk or the bedside tables. Other than some small drawers within the wardrobe and again in the tea/coffee unit there were no full sized drawers to put clothes into.
The bar was very good, smartly decorated with different types of chairs/tables. The prices were reasonable and they had a different singer/entertainment each evening.
The location was very good with an easy walk along the seafront promenade to either the marina/shops or the port area with plenty of bars/restaurants inbetween.
The hotel had plenty of facilities and we made use of the tennis court; pentanque court; mini-golf and table tennis. We did not use the swimming pools as due to the time of year the outdoor ones were too cold and there was only one indoor heated pool which was being well used by families rather than for swimming. We joined some of the activities and enjoyed rifle shooting and pistol shooting. Overall a very enjoyable, relaxing week.

Having spent several holidays in Playa Blanca H10 on privilege basis at Rubicon and Timanfaya Palace we decided to try this hotel for its location and expected service same as the others . Unfortunately it wasn’t the same. After a couple of days we upgraded to privilege all inclusive but obtained a refund on the 2nd day on the upgraded basis due to problems encountered as not what we expected
Pros:
Clean lobby and common areas around downstairs restaurant.. Friendly bar staff and cleaning staff but not all reception staff were so friendly whilst some were nice a couple were not in fact can only describe as rude. Comfortable bed in superior pool view room which we had already booked on B&B basis so free safe included. Air conditioning in room worked well. Hairdryer in bathroom and good quality toiletries.
Mikes coffee bar was as per other hotels and good.
Cons:
Scuffed wallpaper on bedroom wall. No lock on patio door which had to be slammed to close properly or air con wouldn’t work. The bathroom door was frosted glass and couldn’t be locked which was odd. Shower ran hot and cold when using wasn’t ideal. The leather top of the desk was peeling off.
Nosy buffet restaurant at breakfast . If you went for later breakfast (9 o’clock) the fresh buffet food eg tomatoes, ham some fruits yoghurts had run out and were not replenished. So we upgraded to get quiet breakfast and thought we would also get separate privilege restaurant at night but only the Dolce vita some nights as not open every night or Japanese on others. At the privilege breakfast the poor waiter David in Dolce vita was alone run off his feet trying to do everything which meant if you asked for extra toast you had to wait 10 minutes then another 10 minutes for butter as none available on the side to get for yourself. Also witnessed him having to tell people they would have wait as tables full! Same day we got food at Cactus pool bar - the chicken wings were frozen inside when we came to eat them chips were re-fried not fresh and pizza cold. Next day we changed back to bed and breakfast and obtained a refund and was asked to return towels bathrobes and slippers to reception there and then which I did. The other items coffee machine and speaker were taken back whilst we were relaxing in room the next day instead of waiting until the room was empty although the lady who came for them was embarrassed to do so -we didn’t argue and just let her carry on.

Overall disappointed it wasn’t 4 star we expected.

We found the receptionist at checkin gave us a lot of useful information and was very pleasant. But if you are at the back of queue checkin could take a while. The restaurant had closed but they had thoughtfully kept some food for us. We had requested a room on the 3rd floor and they obliged. Our room was bright and modern with enough storage for the two of us. It was very clean and the bed comfortable but the bathroom, whilst clean, was showing signs of wear and could do with a refurbishment. Ideally they should replace the bath with a walk-in shower and get rid of the silly frosted glass door and replace with a proper door with a catch.
We thought there was plenty of food choice at breakfast and in the evening. We enjoyed our meals (especially the desserts) but food could be hotter. It was very busy and a bit chaotic at times. The toasters were poor and grouped together causing a bottleneck in a corner .
The piano bar is a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy a drink in the evening. Usually music or a singer to entertain. There were a couple of good acts in the theatre bar but this room had no atmosphere and uncomfortable chairs. The “white night” party was the highlight as far as the entertainment went. The band was particularly good.
Lovely outdoor pool but not heated. Plenty of sun beds.
All in all we had a lovely holiday and will return.

We decided to revisit this hotel after our last visit was about three years ago. We booked sea view rooms with privilege service and as soon as we arrived we had a privilege part of the reception area and we were given a glass of cava and we were able to book in immediately with a very friendly and helpful member of staff. We arrived early but our rooms were available straight away. Everything about the hotel was excellent from the room , the friendly staff , the privilege room etc.
The areas around the pool have been resurfaced with non slip flooring. We visited the Italian restaurant which was very good and we had had one waiter service breakfast which was a little disappointing so we used the buffet restaurant for the remainder of our breakfasts which were all excellent with loads of choices. We also used Mike's coffee bar and the Coco poolside bar which were both very good. The buffet restaurant was very good for evening meals and was never too crowded. I thought the starters and puddings were great but the selection of vegetables could be a little disappointing sometimes. I agree with the dress code of long trousers for men in the restaurant but find it strange that girls can wear very short shorts!
In conclusion , we really enjoyed our visit to this hotel and found it to be of a very high standard and will certainly choose this hotel again for our next visit to Playa Blanca.

Just stayed with my wife for 1 week in feb.

Going to keep this short and sweet

Pros:
excellent location, beach/prominade with bars, shops and restaurants right accross the road

Facilities good for price, heated pool, gym, spa, decent pool, kids amenities

Lobby, grounds, restaurants, pool area all very clean

Rooms modern and well equipped with good wifi for free through out the hotel

Cons:
Cant spend cash in hotel, they have an in house credit card system which requires you to carry a piece of card all week so they can verify that your signature is actually yours. Getting a drink or a snack is a saga and we found ourselves frustrated by this carrying around lots of receipts etc all week.

The food In the main buffet restaurant is bland and some of it appears to be re heated stuff carried on from breakfast to lunch or lunch to dinner etc. We are not fussy eaters but we really struggled to enjoy the food here. Just to note cold foods were decent though with nice selection breads fruit and salads.

The standard of house keeping is really poor. On day 4 we had to request new bed linen as it had not been changed. The shower area and bathroom floor was not washed at all during our stay and there were grubby stains on the walls and chairs/furniture in the room

All in all we found the hotel to be fine but just that dont think we would return but I would not say dont try it for yourself many people will enjoy this hotel I'm sure of that

Our first time in Lanzarote, just looking for a chilled Week in the sun , exactly what we got, on check- in we were advised that there was a special offer on upgrading to all inclusive which we did well worth it especially as it covered all branded drinks & a visit to both a la carte restaurants , we thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese restaurant the Italian not so much . We did find the buffet restaurant a bit chaotic & the food although a great selection was generally only lukewarm. The cleanliness of our room & around the hotel was excellent, would have been helpful to have a mirror on the wall alongside TV to be able to sit & apply makeup & dry hair etc . The pool area was great but such a shame the outdoor pool was absolutely freezing, I’m sure it would get much more use if heated , there is an indoor heated pool but when it’s a lovely day why would you want to go inside for a dip. The evening entertainment is very much down to taste some good some not so good but we really enjoyed chilling with a drink in the piano bar with Carlos playing saxophone / piano. Overall we had a very enjoyable week & would return for another relaxing break.

Overall this is a good hotel. The area around the pool is excellent, very clean with good facilities for all and plenty of sun beds and parasols.

The room was clean and to a good standard. There was only one free plug socket in a two bedroom room (we freed up another one using a kettle extension when it was not in use). This is poor for a tech laden family and there should be more. TVs were grainy. The bathroom and shower were good.

The hotel has good free Wi-fi coverage and is cashless so make sure you have a card to secure room charges. You can pay the final bill with cash.

The hotel is really well located so one way along the beach front to Playa Blanca, the other to Rubicon Marina and just a few minutes from a beach.

The disappointment for us was the food. It was very much the same every day, some dishes in the buffet were not swapped often enough so could be cool and one or two dishes seemed to be done to a price. There were no markings for allergies. We could ask but most hotels have dishes at a buffet marked up. Because of the food quality, we ended up going out of the hotel to eat quite a bit.

There was a piano bar and some entertainment in the evenings. It is a short wall to some bars with live music.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

Good hotel in very good location. Two minutes from the best beach, Playa Dorada, 15 minutes from the marina, where there's a Saturday market, and a walk to (and up) and from the nearby volcano, Montano Roja, takes a morning. The hotel gardens are impressive cacti. I found navigating the hotel grounds less than simple, to find the pool towel hire place, and the archery and shooting place. The indoor pool is round the side of the grounds, out of sight, and is well heated. The evening entertainment I saw was very good - 3 tenors, and a magician. I found it started quite late for me, at 9.45pm. Sometimes there was also a musician in the bar, sometimes not. Nobody seemed to know when he would be there. So overall, a little more information on the noticeboard would have been welcome. I paid £665 with Tui for a twin room for single use, with a balcony, half board. As a solo traveller, I am used to being given the hotel's worst room, and this was a mountain view room which meant it got very little sun, but, thankfully, reception gave me an electric fan heater, which was very much needed for the cooler January nights. I heard some couples who had pool view rooms facing the sun say their balconies were very hot. Playa Blanca seems a little more upmarket than Costa Teguise or Playa del Carmen. In January, I would say less than half the sunbeds were used, in spite of the wonderful, warm, sunny weather. In contrast, the restaurant was often very busy. Breakfast was excellent, with really good scrambled eggs, sometimes back bacon, sometimes streaky, English sausages and sometimes Spanish sausages as well, tinned mushrooms, lots of choice, and freshly-made fruit smoothies. Dinner was disappointingly low-budget but I always found something for my plate. I tried a glass of red wine with dinner the first night but it was quite rough, so stuck to a glass of cava in the bar (6 euros).

If you join the Facebook page guests of H10 princess and use the magnifier icon you’ll see differing responses. Yes and no but definitely ok for swimming aids!

Yes there’s a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities. We use the tap water as it’s boiled in the kettle, but it’s drinkable these days apparently. Fridge is also in the room, not a mini bar though, but you can probably pay for that.
