The hotel is around 40 min walk from Playa Blanca centre but the facilities, staff and standard of the hotel more than make up for the distance. First impression on entering the lobby is excellent. Very spacious and attractive area, easy check in process with welcome drink. Our room, 7048 had a fantastic sea view, ideal to watch the sunset with very private balcony. Comfortable bed, shower in bath had really good pressure, nice toiletries, good to see conditioner provided. fridge worked well. sufficient storage space for clothes. Cleaning was fine, often done at different times of the day but that wasnt an issue for us. Food in both of the buffet restaurants was very very good. Lots of variety, great quality especially the salads, seafood, cheese and meat with fizz available at breakfast in the main buffet restaurant. We sat outside all the time and the staff were always friendly and quick to bring drinks and clear the table. Used 2 of the al a carte restaurants - Sakura, the Asian was really good, La Dolce Vita, the Italian was a little disappointing. The ice cream was standard stuff, not 'real' italian gelato, we saw some very small pasta and pizza portions being served but our main course of sea bass was lovely. Also went to the Dinner Show which was excellent. Very organised getting you seated and serving the set meal. Acts were of a very good standard and varied, with something for everyone. Singers, dancers, acrobats, drumming, comedy and more. Outside areas were spacious and well laid out. You could find lots of quiet areas to sit and always find a sun bed. Pools are nicely spread out around the grounds with a lovely bistro near one of the farthest ones. We're not really ones for organised activities but we did rifle shooting and a wine tasting and the staff who did them were great. There were 3 bars to choose from in the evening - entertainment bar, piano bar and sports bar so always somewhere to go. Plenty of nice places to take a drink out to and sit if you dont want to be in the bars themselves. Bus stops right outside the hotel so easy to get out and about if you want to. There are good safe paths outside the hotel, both along the seafront promenade and 'inland' so plenty of nice walks around. It was my husbands birthday whilst we were there and he was given a complimentary bottle of fizz - nice touch, much appreciated. The free to join loyalty programme, Club H10 is a bonus and gives you discounts and a free gift at the entry level. Age range of guests was varied and mainly over 50's and families with young children but with some younger people around too so a nice mix. The childrens entertainment in the evening is in the entertainment bar and doesnt spill over into other public areas. In other hotels we have sometimes found it too intrusive and difficult to get away from but no problem here. This was our 2nd visit to an H10 having been to the Lanzarote Princess in June. We are very impressed with the chain and would definitely recommend. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning.

Hotel's Favourite
Beautiful hotel grounds, stunning views, really enjoyed our holiday and would recommend this hotel to everyone . Loved the dolphins display in reception, welcome drinks on arrival, we got a golf cart ride to our room so we didn’t have to carry luggage. Our room was spacious, with a fan and aircon which you could have on separately, two double beds and sofa bed, large balcony over looking path to the pool and mikes coffee shop (which is lovely with lots of choice, caramel iced coffee was amazing) in the square behind the cafe is a clothing shop with named brands and a souvenir shop, it was quite pricey but nice to have some options to buy bits, we got inflatables for the pool from there. I would of bought them from home but was unsure if we were allowed but you are. we didn’t see a supermarket shop on the grounds which would of been nice to get water, snacks for room we had to walk 20mins or so to nearest shop (opposite way to playa Blanca). The room itself had been redecorated black and white, had toiletries, free safe, fridge and main English channels, had a good hairdryer and a drying rack for a few clothes on balcony with table and chairs. The cleaners came in everyday and around the hotel it felt clean and tidy. There was a lot of entertainment which you could see schedule on the app and on screens near eating area. Lots of choice for evening meals but did get abit the same so loved that the alcarte restaurants were included in half board which were all three courses (you need to book restaurants on H10 app quickly on arrival or before for good times) for three of the night, our favourite was the Italian and impressed it had stone baked pizza oven. Asian restaurant was lovely too. Breakfast was our favourite the children loved the churros and we liked the freshly made omelettes by the chefs in front of you. The cappuccino from the coffee machines were really nice, the staff worked really hard and kept the restaurants clean. You can purchased reusable water bottles for 3.50 and fill them up all over hotel. It would of been nice if there was some burgers and nuggets for the children just to fill them up. But the lunch option did have this for them when we swapped our dinner to lunch one day. The cocktail bar upstairs has an amazing terrace with beautiful views and great cocktails made properly. The pool cocktails were ok but out of jugs in plastic cups for safety around pool but preferred upstairs, hotel offers branded drinks even on all inclusive. We loved the fire show and flamenco dancing and my daughter loved meeting Elsa, the kids pool area was great change too. There was mini golf (abit worn out but did the job) and a play park next to it. The main pool is sea salt so we made sure our kids had goggles. It states you are not allowed to reserve sunloungers when checking in but this was sadly not enforced so after breakfast we went to use pool and every lounger (there are plenty) all had towels on them but no one at them for hours which is unfair on people at the pool wanting to relax and be close to the pool to watch the children, if the staff removed towels this would make it fair for everyone staying at the hotel and wanting to enjoy the facilities. You can leave the hotel to walk along sea front down the stairs to the side of the spa. Hotel is further out so to walk to playa blanca main strip you can walk along the seafront and takes about 40mins with a few bars along the way, but we mainly got taxis which the hotel kindly rang they arrived quickly and only cost 5 euros (ten minute journey), lots of restaurants and bars there and beach, we also got a fast ferry from the harbour to FortVentura (prebook in advance for cheaper, ticket offices near harbour for 35 euros adult 18 child, you need passports when going on ferry). There is a lovely beach bar with great cocktails and food just to the right outside the hotel for a change of scenery. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, they gave my daughter a mug full of Lindor chocolates for her birthday so very thoughtful. you will not be disappointed with your stay here, it’s large and didn’t feel crowded. A few tweaks and it would be perfect. Thankyou for a lovely stay :)

Just spent a tremendous week at the Rubicon. 4 of us (two couples) decided we should get away before Christmas and found a great deal withTUI. We had the all-inclusive package. We all loved it, from the moment we arrived. Lovely grounds - very well maintained. Great rooms, stunning location, superb facilities /entertainment and the food was excellent too. The icing on the cake was the staff. We all agreed that none of us met a single one of them who was anything less than friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. Everything was just right for us and we had a wonderful time.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful sea front setting. 20-30 minute walk to Playa Flamingo and Playa Blanca. Efficient friendly staff. Piano bar and Privilege Lounge facility lack atmosphere and could do better. Preferred main buffet opposed to privilege and a la carte restaurants which also lacked atmosphere…the latter were bit overcrowded with nothing so special food offered

What a wonderful stay. We upgraded rooms for a sea view . We ask for the same room for our Easter break. Yes there are minor things to complain about if you’re picky . The spa is great and comes as part of the deal. The entertainment is spot on.

Just a wonderful hotel, spacious, very clean and the buffet dining room is excellent. A wide range of food with plenty of salad and fresh fruit available. I joined in some of the activities and sitting in the cocktail lounge at the end of a wonderful day was perfect. We hope to visit again soon!

We had a fabulous holiday Staff were efficient and friendly Our room was in the Privilege area and had a beautiful view. We will opt for this area on our next visit. The food was generally of a high standard. Sakura restaurant was especially good! Our visit to dolce vita was less favourable as food and service wasn’t quite so good on the night we were there. I would highly recommend this hotel

This was our second visit and standards have certainly slipped everywhere you go furniture, floors , doors , walks are tired damaged the main walkways are dirty I’m shocked this is rated as a 5 star hotel 3 would me about right . We paid for an upgrade package and I stayed in room 9812 no sea view I was told it’s a lateral view so needed to go onto the patio area that had zero privacy and look right ….. we have stayed several times but will not be returning we booked a 5 star hotel and paid for a upgrade we stayed in a basement room that was certainly not worthy of 5 star . The sports bar was a huge let down very rarely open and didn’t play the games that were advertised when asked the barman he couldn’t work the telly so we had to find a sports bar out of the complex we turned up for a second game they were advertising to find them closed . Please read all the reviews on here before you book and look at the facebook page this hotel has a lot of problems.
