There are some room renovations going on but to be honest these did not bother us or spoil our holiday.
Sun bed policy is that no towels can be left on sun beds before 9.30, if they are then they are removed. This policy is strictly enforced and works really well. We never had any problems getting a lounger at any time of the day. Lots of open space too. Three pools, two outside pools both of which are quite cold but the indoor pool is lovely and warm.
Our room was lovely, modern and bright and very spacious. We had a garden view room which looked out on to the back of the hotel. The location of our room could have been better with regard to early morning noise but we chose to stay there rather than move however I met with Jose the director to explain and asked if we returned could we ask for garden room in a different area and he was very accommodating and spent time to explain to me the different areas and gave me suggestions of garden room areas to request via e mail should we return so that we don’t experience early morning noise again. Jose was very helpful and I feel reassured so we will be booking again to return and we cannot wait, thank you Jose and all your wonderful staff for giving us such a fantastic holiday.
we have stayed in a few 4 star all inclusive hotels over the years but this place blows them all out of the water.
a lovely mix of all generations here definitely wasn't an old people's home as described by some.
beautiful reception area where you are greeted by a lovely chilled glass of cava on arrival.room wasn't ready but wasn't a problem cases in locker room and then find our bearings, only waited an hour or so.
rooms are spacious, clean and beds were comfortable and huge.
food is really good, plenty of choice( i really don't know how people moan about the lack of choice if you can't find something to eat in here there is something seriously wrong with you) and real bacon at breakfast was a delicious surprise.the sight of a lovely ice bucket with your wine at evening meal is just a lovely touch and the long trousers rule is a minor inconvenience, just get changed into shorts after your meal it's not a problem.
Kasbah restaurant for our once only free visit was beautiful and a nice little change.
the no sunbed reservation before 9:30 rule is brilliant,no getting up at silly o'clock to reserve a bed and anyway there are plenty of beds around the 2 lovely pools so no need to rush.
pool bar serves lovely lunchtime food, toasties, burgers, pizza, salads and my favourite the buffalo chicken wings all served to you as well as drinks to your table by the very polite and helpful staff(special mention to Angel he was lovely and a cheeky sense of humour)
branded drinks as part of all inclusive are just the icing on the cake,Estrella lager, smirnoff vodka, bombay sapphire gin to name a few all served with proper bottled mixers but having Greygoose vodka in the AI was just amazing, again all served to your table by the lovely staff in the so relaxing piano bar while chilling to lovely music.
i would loved to have met the main man Mr Jose Vasquez as i love reading his replies on here,he is very passionate about his hotel and quite rightly defends it whole heartedly.
we will definitely be back here next year we are missing it already.
i can't recommend this place highly enough

The staff treat all their guests the same, with a smile on their face, and as speedily as they humanly can. There are many many repeat guests at the H10 Timanfaya Palace, who yes, the staff recognise and spend a little time chatting and sharing some banter because they have become friends, but those repeat guests, some have returned over 30 times, are testament to how wonderful this hotel is. So please don’t take JakiB’s review as accurate, I assure you it is a fabulous hotel, with fabulous staff, and wonderful food, in a quiet and relaxing environment. No it’s not for everyone, if you want to party maybe you should go to a party island and leave the beautiful H10 Timanfaya Palace to those who enjoy the peace and tranquility this hotel offers. Do your homework!
The positives:
Quiet reigns in the Inn, which is very nice to rest. The respect and kindness of the staff, whether waiters or housekeepers, are to be emphasized. The team does everything possible to satisfy guests, and other guests are also respectful, making the stay pleasant.
Special mention for the day and evening entertainment organized by the animators, which are very well done and more than enough to have a good time.
Areas for improvement:
However, I was disappointed with several aspects of the Pension. The buffet lacks variety, especially in the morning and at lunch, where the dishes are often the same. The choice and the quality leave something to be desired, and I had the Impression of being in a canteen with plates and glasses that are often dirty. In addition, servers, while doing their best, are sometimes clumsy and drop objects regularly.
As for the rooms, those that are not in the “privilege” category lack maintenance: there is no change of sheets, and shower towels are never replaced. Beach towels cost 1€ to change, even in all inclusive formula, which is quite disappointing.
Another very disappointing point is that even in all inclusive formula, water costs 4€ per bottle. In addition, there are no drinks in the rooms, and once the bottle of water is consumed, filling costs 1€. Having the habit of traveling (at least 6 Trips per year worldwide), I have never seen such a policy in other hotels.
It is also forbidden to reserve sun loungers at the pool in the morning, otherwise his belongings will be removed. It should also be noted that near the sun loungers near the beach restaurant, fried smells from the ventilation systems make the moment of relaxation unpleasant.
The proposed full-body massage lacks effectiveness: it is very soft and focuses mainly on the feet and legs, to the detriment of the rest of the body.
Finally, few staff speak French, which can be a problem for some holidaymakers. The Inn also deserves some renovations to improve overall comfort!
We receive the room only at 3:00 pm even if our arrival is at 10:00 am 🤨
First of all I must congratulate Senior Jose for the outstanding job he does as manager of the resort. He is available with an open door to talk to guests and listens to comments from guests. His team of personnel from the reception desk to every member of his team are friendly and outgoing. Each person always has a smile and make you feel very welcome. I would especially like to compliment Ole Zeifert at the reception desk who made checking in so easy. He took time to highlight the hotel and answer any questions we had. There are no room keys but you are given an arm band that not only opens your door but you can charge drinks or food with it. Pool towels are given out at reception with no cost unless you want to trade them in for a new one. (cost of 1 Euro)
The restaurant has a theme night every night so you do get a good assortment of choices for your meals. I thought the food was outstanding and there is always something for even the most picky eaters. Don’t overlook the vegetarian part of the buffet as the vegetable dishes are outstanding.
There are 3 pools at the resort and one of which is indoors. There are always enough pool chairs available with a parasol and table.
There is an animation team on the property and activities are posted on a board either in the lobby or near the entrance to the pool. Every night in the disco bar starting at 9:30 there is a variety of musical groups for your entertainment.
There is small market very close to the hotel less than a 10 minute walk.
What a beautiful holiday at Timanfaya Palace.

- The accommodation offers a variety of room types, which include half board, all-inclusive or the "Privileg Standard". As an adults-only hotel, it accommodates mostly English guests. Meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are served in the spacious dining room, which can, however, be perceived as noisy when fully occupied. The buffet dishes are of high quality and are presented cleanly and attractively.
- Our stay included a very comfortable superior room with a sea view. The adjacent promenade was a nice addition that was not disturbing. Due to the disturbing atmosphere in the dining room, we decided to upgrade to the "Privileg Standard" after the second day, which gave us access to the exclusive Kashba restaurant, the Privileg Lounge with drinks and special lounge areas.
- The hotel's spacious pool area and well-kept gardens are particularly worth mentioning. The heated indoor seawater pool was a particular highlight for us, as we could almost always swim there alone every day at eight o'clock. It was amusing to watch the same people reserving the same lounge chairs at the same time every day.
- In summary, we really enjoyed our stay, but found that the hotel was ultimately too big for our needs.

The hotel has the friendliest and most efficient staff that we've ever come across. The accommodation is excellent, and the food to die for. You can opt for half board or all inclusive, and there's even a premium board level called (rather unfortunately, we think) 'Privilege'. With this, you get little extras like a la carte dining every night. We actually prefer the self service in the main dining room, though, and find the food choice really good.
The bedrooms are spacious, and the beds themselves huge! The maid service is excellent, and the ladies politeness itself. There is a kettle in the room (which can be changed for a coffee maker on request), plus tea/coffee making facilities, and a small fridge/mini bar perfectly large enough to store a supply of milk.
In the bathroom, there is a good quality hairdryer, and a good supply of shower gell/shampoo/hand-wash and hand cream. Some rooms still have traditional baths, but these are largely being phased out in favour of showers. (If you have a specific preference, you can email the hotel a couple of weeks before going, and they'll do their utmost to accommodate you.)
In terms of leisure time at the hotel (is there anything else??) there are three bars (pool, piano and disco/theatre) where excellent quality drinks are included in the AI tariff, and there is good quality entertainment in the two inside ones.
There is also a gym etc, plus a heated indoor pool. (NB: the outdoor pools are not heated, but are nevertheless very poular dependent on season.)
The layout of the hotel includes raised garden areas, quiet sunbathing areas, and a multitude of sunbeds (never a shortage).
We heartily recommend the Timanfaya, but please don't book it when WE want to! 🤣

The common areas are updated although the corridors or elevators look much more dated. The room has also had to be updated, very large and the air conditioning function perfect.
The huge toilet although it fits a second sink to spare. It's compensated by an XL shower.
You can hire dinner with drink included for 31€/night or dinner without drinks for something less. Despite the orientation of Canary Islands hotels to foreign tourism, this H10 has dinner until 22:00h fabulous! And despite the fact that the swimming pool officially ends at 19h for the lifeguard, they suggest you can bathe under your responsibility, another positive point.
The staff is lovely throughout the hotel and there is plenty of space to park on the same street at no extra cost.
