When we arrived in beautiful Lanzarote for our 15th stay at the Timanfaya Palace, we had no idea it would end in lockdown! Thankfully, we had 8 days of a perfectly relaxing and lovely holiday before the Spanish lockdown came into force. However, if you’re going to be locked down, where better to sit it out than at this great hotel. The staff did their level best to make our remaining days as comfortable as possible (if only the local Civil Guard could have been as understanding...what an eye-opener!). Our thanks to the wonderful housekeeping ladies, Marissa & Yasmin, to the helpful Nikolett on Reception, and to the fabulous restaurant staff, Anita, Pepe, Jorge, Angie, Rocio, Mari, Abdell, Josefa & Fran. Thanks also to Viky & Jose for their usual professionalism during a difficult time. We hope you’re all safe and well, and look forward to seeing you again soon.…
We visited here just as Covid was starting to unfold around the world. this hotel is ideally placed for flat walks along the front in either direction. Sitting by the pools you have a lovely view out to see and the esplande infront. Food was good. Rooms were spacious and well appointed and clean. Many restaurants on the esplanade. Take comfy shoes. Rooms to avoid are on the nudist roof terrace side just above the kitchens, so floors below 3. Try and get an end or corridor view. All rooms have views.
Visited WB 8th March with my mum. This time half board with a standard room and upgraded to all inclusive the next morning due to arriving quite late in the day. Incidentally when I go with my husband we tend to go Privilege HB and we love that too. Despite the escalation of Covid 19 whilst we were there we still had a perfect holiday, although Spain locked down just as we were leaving. I hope this wonderful hotel gets to open again soon for the benefit of the lovely staff and the guests but at the moment of course it's just important for everyone to remain safe and well. Thanks to all the fabulous staff and to José for arranging for earlier gym opening times so I could work off some of the lovely food and drink before breakfast 😁. Special thanks to the lovely Loli for helping me with my terrible Spanish. If anyone is considering booking this hotel I would say that it definitely lives up to its fabulous reputation and as soon as you can, book it up👍. It was nice to see José and Héctor 🐾 briefly on the last day despite the circumstances-they both came in whilst on annual leave. On a final note, keep safe Team Timpal and we will return just as soon as possible. Thanks for everything.…
What else can I say about this hotel other than we love it and this year we were extremely lucky as a few days after we left, Lanzarote went into lockdown with the coronavirus. The staff are brilliant throughout. Special mention to Peppi in the restaurant, all the bar staff and pool bar staff. Food is very good although we did notice a slight drop in quality. Drinks are generous and of good quality. Evening entertainment was generally very good and although we had seen some of them last year, still enjoyed them. The animation staff, Katerina, Thea and Rianne who were ably run by Emma, were friendly, efficient and professional offering a wide range of activities - archery, rifle and gun shooting, petangue, table tennis, aquarobics, pilates, yoga, mini golf etc. The whole complex is kept extremely clean and tidy. One niggle is that even though on all inclusive, the fridge is not replenished which is rather confusing. Room safe is an additional charge. Love the indoor pool especially as it has a hoist to assist those with mobility issues. Aside from the hotel, the location is a bit far out and the nearby promenade is becoming very worn making it uncomfortable for guests using mobility scooters.…
We had a great time here the hotel is really nice and the staff are all very friendly and helpful .The food was excellent with always plenty of choices all well cooked and tasty The hotel is in a great location and not too far from the town we used taxis to get about and they were very reasonable. We ate in the pool bar on one occasion and found the food was good in here and reasonably priced My favourite place here was the large pool with plenty of sunbeds and not too cool once you got in We enjoyed this hotel and we will be going back there again hopefully later this year or early next year
